28 Years Later and Boots – A Brief Look at a Century Old Recording

A recent trailer for the upcoming movie 28 Years Later has sparked a large amount of discussion online due to its choice of soundtrack. The trailer features an altered version of a century old recording of the poem Boots by Rudyard Kipling. This article takes a brief look at the poem, the recording and the modern altered version used in the trailer. Danny Boyle’s 28 Years Later is set for release June 20, 2025.

The Obsidian Resurrection - As Darkness Falls (2025)

Tom Hanno of Tom's Reviews looks at As Darkness Falls, the new album from Modesto, California based symphonic death/black/thrash metal act The Obsidian Resurrection, released January 10, 2025.

Back in 2021,The Obsidian Resurrection released a demo called Enslaved By Nightmares. The three tracks went all the way back to 2003, from a band …“Formerly known as Obsidian, this is our demo from 2003. We had to break up back around 2005, but we are currently in the studio working on our full length album set to be released in 2022.”

These demo tracks were very good, and I began looking forward to hearing the promised full album. 2023 came and went, then 2024 did the same, but now, in 2025, we have finally gotten the new record!!!!

On April 8th, 2024, we were lucky enough to witness a total eclipse of the sun. This was a moment that many of us won’t see twice, and for me, it was one of, if not the most amazing thing that I’ll ever get to see. And though I was unaware of it, Cleveland’s Axioma was doing something fantastic as the eclipse happened in real time. Keep reading to find out what I’m talking about.

I’m absolutely stunned by how much I’m loving this new Marilyn Manson album, because I legit wasn’t expecting to. I’ve enjoyed the last few, but this one is the re-emerge that I was hoping for, full of gritty guitar riffs, throbbing bass grooves, and a healthy mix of old and new school Manson. I think that he has created an excellent record, and we’re going to talk about why I’m into it.
