In 2019, a strange little pink house appeared right on the top of the historical plant of the Canada Malting Silos, built in 1905 and abandoned in 1986. The unknown authors brought the material to an height of about 35 meters to build this absolutely unique thing and added later other pieces to their creation, like a Christmas three, a gift and other decorations.
I think I have never seen anything like this in hundreds of explorations in abandoned places!
Montréal, Québec - Canada.

The 3X Killer
Well before Zodiac or Son of Sam gained infamy by terrorizing couples in their vehicles, there was the 3X Killer stalking the lover’s lanes of Queens, New York in 1930.
The night of June 11, Joseph Mozynksi, a married father of two, picked up his 19 year-old mistress Catherine May and headed for a secluded part of Queens. While parked, a man with a German accent suddenly appeared and ordered them at gunpoint to let him in and abruptly shot Mozynski in the head. A terrified May was dragged from the car and raped. The killer then dropped her off at a bus station and handed her a letter with the instruction she is not to read it until tomorrow. The letter read: Joseph Mozynski 3X3-X-097
Catherine May went to the police but her bizarre story was soon met with suspicion and homicide detectives entertained the idea May was involved. This theory was proven false when a local newspaper began publishing mysterious anonymous letters they’d been receiving from someone claiming to be the killer. The messages were mostly nonsensical ramblings with references to the Mozynski murder and the promise of more death.
The mysterious killer kept his word when on June 16, another couple were ambushed in their car. A mechanic named Noel Sowley was shot to death and his girlfriend escorted to a bus station with a letter similar to that given to Catherine May. Sowley’s girlfriend stated a man with a German accent impersonating police approached their vehicle and asked for his license. The man said, “You’re the man we want, all right. You’re going to get what Joe got.” before he shot Sowley.
Detectives acknowledged the link between the two murders as well as a series of odd warning letters sent to various people in New York, including one to Mozynski’s brother in Philadelphia demanding the return of documents. All were signed 3X. The following week, police received one final letter from the 3X Killer. He proclaimed, “I am an agent of an anti communist group, Red Diamond of Russia, and the last document, N.J. 4-3-44 returned to us the 19 at 9 p.m. My mission is ended. There is no further cause for worry.” No more murders were ever attributed to him.
Conspiracy theorists went wild. Who is this madman? Is he a paranoid schizophrenic spree killer? Or perhaps is he really a covert military operative carrying out government sanctioned executions? Questions that’ll never be answered, as this intriguing case will remain forever unsolved.

The Polybius Mystery:
Polybius is an arcade cabinet described in an urban legend, which is said to have induced various psychological effects on players. The story describes players suffering from amnesia, night terrors, and a tendency to stop playing all video games. Around a month after its supposed release in 1981, Polybius is said to have disappeared without a trace. There is no evidence that such a game has ever existed.
The game has shown up in movies & tv shows like The Simpsons and Wreck it Ralph.

In 1981, John Walsh was just a hotel marketing executive, but that all changed when his wife, Revé, took her 6-year-old son Adam Walsh shopping with her in a Hollywood, Florida, Sears department store on July 27, 1981. She left Adam in a toy’s section of the store to fool around with the video game systems on display along with some other boys as she checked out some lamps a few aisles away. She returned only a few minutes later to find that her son, along with the other boys, were gone. The security guard informed her that a scuffle had broken out over whose turn it was at the kiosk, and the guard demanded that they leave. Two weeks later, Adam’s severed head was found in a canal by two fishermen. The coroner ruled that the cause of his death was asphyxiation. After serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer’s arrest, he was immediately suspected as Adam’s murderer, as he was working only several minutes from where the boy vanished, but there was no concrete evidence linking him to the crime. Then, Ottis Toole, another serial killer, was named as the suspect. Ottis, who was already in prison in 1983, admitted to decapitating Adam with a machete (but would later recant his confession) and his accomplice, Henry Lee Lucas, told police that Ottis had shown him Adam’s body. Many witnesses claim to have seen Ottis talking to Adam on the day he was taken as well, although there was still no evidence to support this. The kidnapping and murder of Adam prompted John Walsh to become an advocate of victim’s rights and host the show America’s Most Wanted. In 2008, after 27 years, police closed Adam Walsh’s case, claiming they had sufficient evidence to pin Ottis Toole as the murderer.

An endling is the term for the last member of a species or subspecies. When an endling dies, it’s species become extinct. There have been several endlings in recent times - Martha, who was the last passenger pigeon, died in 1914 in Cincinnati Zoo. The photo above shows Benjamin, the last Tasmanian Tiger, who lived out the last of his days in Hobart Zoo before he died on 7 September, 1936. Humans can often be an occurring theme in the story of endlings and this was the case for Benjamin, who died of neglect. Probably the most well known endling is Lonesome George, the Pinta Island giant tortoise, who died in 2012.

Autoimmune Disease Acts Like Demonic Possession
Susannah Cahalan started feeling a bit off. Numbness on one side of the body, losing sleep, crying hysterically one minute and laughing the next. She went to get MRIs but they showed nothing. Things were getting a bit more strange.
Her boyfriend told her how at one point while they were watching a show together she started grinding her teeth, moaning, and biting her tongue until she finally passed out. He took her to the hospital and they found out it was a seizure. Her first of many. Things got worse.
She stopped eating, became paranoid and delusional, had more seizures in which blood would spurt out of her mouth. She was hospitalized (one nurse recalls that in the middle of the night while she was getting blood, Susannah sat up straigh and slapped her). Numerous tests were done and the doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong.
That is until Dr. Souhel Najjar came into the picture. He asked her to draw a clock. When she showed him what she had drawn he knew exactly what was wrong with her. All the numbers were written on the right side of the clock face, and no numbers were on the left side.
She had anti-NMDAR encephalitis. The receptors in the frontal lobe, responsible for cognitive reasoning, and the limbic system, or the emotional center of the brain, are under assault by the immune system. In other words, her body was attacking her brain. Nearly 90% of people that suffer from this go undiagnosed and it is more common in women.

The case of Lisa Fuillerat and Samara Routenberg
The case of Lisa Fuillerat and Samara Routenberg involves a double murder and suicide that occurred on February 24 2017. Vincente Fuillerat, armed with a shotgun, entered his estranged wife's new home and murdered her and her partner, Samara Routenberg. The incident took place at Samara Routenberg's home on Hickory Creek Drive. Vincente Fuillerat later committed suicide.
The details surrounding the case indicate that Lisa Fuillerat had moved in with Samara Routenberg after leaving Vincente Fuillerat. She was living an emotional abuse with Vincente and started a new friendship with fellow co-worker, another teacher named Samara Routenberg. Both grew close to each other during the time they met and started to connect as friends. As things starting to die between Lisa Fuillerat and her then husband, feelings started to grow towards Samara. Lisa spoke to her mother about wanting to leave Vincente, which her mom approved and expected to happen without issue. As Lisa tried to leave him, Vincente did not take the news pretty well and told her she would regret it, that she would come back to him. Diminishing her as he usually did.
As time passed, Lisa and Samara started a romantic relationship that only grew stronger. This infuriated Vincente as he started to stalk, harass and threaten Lisa and her new partner. Before the murders, Vincente had stalked them and even assaulted Samara inside her home. If it wasn't for a near by neighbor, he would've strangled her to death. They both filed a lawsuit and a restraining order against him. Things started to get complicated and as so, both ladies began a strict plan to remain save by taking self defense classes and learning how to use weapons. They installed cameras around the house with detectors as well.
The murders were planned to be motivated by the breakup of the marriage and Vincente Fuillerat's rage about his wife leaving him for another woman. A dissection revealed that the two females died as a result of slug wounds from a shotgun. There were also indications of a confined portion, and it appeared that both the assailant and the casualties had engaged in a gunfight prior to the homicide.
Vincente Fuillerat died by self inflicting gunshot. Alongside Samara and Lisa’s dead bodies, the police additionally observed Vincente had a note taped to his body, the contents of which were not disclosed too much however, the note indicated some instructions on what should happen to his body after his demise also, a short part for the children he shared with Lisa.
Meanwhile, students at Lake Gibson Middle School remembered the teachers as dedicated educators who loved their professions beyond books and grades. They were lauded as "amazing and inspirational" educators in one message left on a fence outside the school.

In the early morning hours of 13 November, 1974, 23-year-old Ronald DeFeo Jr. systematically shot and killed his father, mother, and his four siblings, as they slept in their beds of their Amityville, Long Island, New York home.
During his trial, he claimed that he had killed his family in self-defence because he had heard their voices plotting to kill him. But the story doesn’t end there: In December 1975, the Lutz family purchased the house and over the course of 28 days, they claimed they were plagued and terrorized by paranormal phenomena while living there, before fleeing the property.
Some of the claims included green slime running from the walls, hidden rooms, images of half headed demons, a demonic pig, as well as mysterious welts and wounds appearing out of nowhere.
After the family fled the macabre home, they called in paranormal investigators who snapped the above photograph. They claimed that the photo was genuine, and that it clearly depicted a little boy peering out from behind the door. According to some, it's the ghost of 9-year-old John Matthew DeFeo.
Whether the truth in this haunting case was stretched or even a hoax all together, it still remains one of the most sensationalized ghost stories worldwide, inspiring multiple books and movies.

Pictured above: The Short Family, circa 2002.
The Shorts were known as an ‘nice, average family’. Michael (50) and his wife Mary (36) owned a mobile home moving business and were raising their daughter Jennifer (9) in Bassett, Virginia. The trio was described as a private, but happy family. According to acquaintances, the Short family tended to be on the quieter side, and they were not known to cause drama. Due to all of this, community was incredibly shocked when Michael and Mary were found shot to death at their home on the evening of August 15th, 2002. The police were called that evening after a co-worker who drove by the Short’s home spotted Michael laying in a pool of his blood inside their enclosed carport. One police arrived on the scene, they found Mary shot to death in the couple’s bedroom. Their daughter, Jennifer, was nowhere to be found. An Amber Alert was issued, and a search for the young girl quickly ensued.
All of the searches by professional search teams unfortunately came up empty. Then, over a month later, on September 26th, 2002,  a gruesome discovery was made. A man’s dogs found human remains in a creek in Rockingham County, North Carolina. The remains were located approximately 35 miles away from the Short’s home in Virginia. The remains were sent to the lab for forensic testing and were later confirmed to be that of Jennifer Short. She had also been shot in the head. It was clear at this point that the Short family had been executed—but so many questions remain, such as: who would want the Short family dead? Why was Jennifer taken to a different location? Was she held captive for a period of time before she was killed? Perhaps the most haunting question, though, is the motive. Why did someone kill this entire family?
