Sheila Morton (33) has been missing since June 2nd, 2014. According to her loved ones, Sheila’s behavior and personality changed drastically in the weeks leading up to her disappearance. She had recently quit a restaurant job she had for seven years, moved out of her residence, and began hanging out with an old group of friends. Additionally, the last purchase Sheila was known to make was for a 9mm handgun, which was left behind when she disappeared.
Sheila was last seen at her ex-boyfriend’s house in Center, Texas. Her ex-boyfriend stated that Sheila was drinking heavily that day, and that she was saying she was going to take their son and leave. Sheila’s ex told her that if she got into her car, he would call the police. He then brought their son inside, leaving Sheila alone outside. When he returned, Sheila was gone. Her purse and keys were found laying in the driveway, but her wallet and phone disappeared with her. He thought that Sheila had called somebody to pick her up.
Sheila’s family finally reported her missing two weeks later. Her phone was turned off the same day she vanished, and she has never been seen or heard from again. Sheila’s family members do not believe she would voluntarily leave behind her son; they believe foul play is responsible for her disappearance.
Sheila remains missing today. The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. If you have any information that could help the investigation, please contact 936-634-3332. [x]

The Crash of Diane Schuler
On July 26, 2009, 36-year-old Diane Schuler, a successful executive, was driving home from a camping trip with her 2-year-old daughter, 5-year-old son, and three nieces (ages 8, 7, and 5).
After leaving Hunter Lake Campground in Parksville, New York, around 11 a.m., Diane was traveling along Route 17 when witnesses reported Diane driving strangely, aggressively tailgating, lashing her headlights, honking, and veering across lanes. Diane was then seen stopped by the side of the road, presumably vomiting.
About an hour later, one of Diane’s nieces called Warren Hance (their father and Diane’s brother) and reported that Diane was having trouble seeing and speaking. Diane then spoke to Hance herself and said that she was disoriented and experiencing vision impairment. Hance told Diane to stay off the road while he came to meet them. Diane then, inexplicably, drove away and left her cell phone on the highway, which was later found by another motorist.
Soon, drivers began calling 911 after noticing Diane's van entering an exit ramp, clearly marked with Do Not Enter signs, and traveling the wrong way down the highway going approximately 85 miles per hour (137 km/h).
Diane’s van soon collided head-on with an SUV which then struck another car. Diane, her daughter, and two of her nieces were immediately killed, along with three men in the SUV, Michael Bastardi, his son Guy, and a friend, Dan Longo. The occupants of the third car suffered only minor injuries. Diane's severely injured third niece and Diane's 5-year-old son Bryan were rushed to the hospital, where her niece later died. Bryan was the only survivor.
Two men who rushed to help found a large, broken vodka bottle by Diane’s car. Based on the position of the children’s bodies, it did not appear they were wearing seat belts or fastened into car seats.
A toxicology report found that Diane had a blood-alcohol content 0.19% and high levels of THC in her system. Daniel Schuler, Diane’s husband, has consistently denied that his wife ever "drank to excess" or could have been drunk while driving that day. The crash was eventually ruled a homicide.

The evening of June 2nd, 2007 began as a typical night for 17 year-old Kelsey Smith. The teen went to a local Target store in Overland Park, Kansas shortly before 7pm that evening to buy an anniversary gift for her boyfriend. Before leaving the store, Kelsey briefly spoke with her mother on the phone. Then, Kelsey was seen in the store’s parking lot around 7:07pm. She never returned home and was reported missing by her family later that evening.
Around four hours after Kelsey was last seen leaving Target, her car was found abandoned in a Macy’s parking lot across the street. Many of her personal items–including her wallet, purse, and present she bought at Target–were left inside the car. Upon this discovery, investigators found it more and more likely that Kelsey had been abducted.
Investigators then looked at Target’s surveillance cameras for potential evidence. In the footage, Kelsey is seen exiting the store and walking towards her car. At first glance, nothing seemed unusual–but after a second look, investigators noticed a “flash in the footage heading in the direction of Kelsey’s car.” The flash was reportedly consistent with someone running. After looking more thoroughly at the footage, it became clear that somebody had chased Kelsey and forced her inside her own car.

Monique “Nicki” Christine Daniels lived in anything but a good home. Having been abused by her biological father, she lived with her biological mother, Candyce, and her stepfather, Chuck. The oldest of three biological siblings and two half-siblings, she was often the one to get in trouble, as many older siblings do. Despite the abuse, a friend of Monique’s remembers her as someone who put others before herself and had big plans to become a doctor after high school. However, when she left her home on June 2, 1992, just two weeks before her 16th birthday, she was not reported missing for nearly two years and has not been seen since.
Monique was last seen loading clothes into a blue Chevrolet pickup truck and was accompanied by an unidentified white male outside of her home in Moore, Oklahoma on June 2, 1992. At the time of her disappearance, her mother and two of her siblings were away and when they returned, Chuck told them “She’s gone again”. Monique had run away before allegedly due to becoming pregnant and her parents forcing her to get an abortion, so they assumed that she ran away again. Another thing that was suspicious is that while their home was usually clean and organized when they returned, it seemed to be in a state of disarray; beer bottles and cigarette butts were lying around the house and an empty pregnancy test box was located in the bathroom. However, as the months continued, things seemed to change.
As the months went by after Monique's disappearance, Candyce and Chuck seemingly tried to destroy any trace of their oldest sister from the children’s memories. The family banned the remaining siblings from talking about Monique and they took new family portraits and quickly removed the ones with Monique in them. Other family members were growing more and more nervous about Monique’s whereabouts and well being, namely her Aunt Leslie, who offered to help find Monique, but when she called the police to inquire about her niece’s disappearance in January of 1993, there was no missing person report filed. Two days later, the family received an alleged call from Monique saying that she was alive and well. A week later, a letter postmarked from Dallas, Texas was sent allegedly from Monique, and another was sent in September 1993. The letters claimed that Monique gave birth to a daughter named Chelsea and was married to a man who traveled often for his job. When Leslie called for the handwriting on the letters to be examined, there was a burglary where the letters were stolen before they could be examined.
Not long after, in January 1994, Monique’s younger sister, Angelique ran away to her aunt’s home. When she left, Candyce and Chuck reported her missing immediately. Around this time is when Monique was also reported missing. When she arrived at her aunt’s house, she filed criminal complaints about physical and mental abuse. Angelique had also revealed that the letters were complete fabrications as well as the phone call. Two of her other siblings, Andrew and Charles Jr have also made statements about the last time they saw Monique, Andrew saying that he could only talk to his sister through a crack in her bedroom door. However, Charles Jr claimed that he hugged Monique before she vanished around the time Andrew was told to only talk through the crack. Chuck and Candyce have both claimed that Angelique and Andrew had substance abuse problems, which they both denied. Over 2 decades later, Monique still remains missing.
Monique Christine Daniels is a white female who was 15 years old when she vanished, stood at 5′4″ (163 cm), weighed 125 pounds (57 kg), had curly blonde hair and blue eyes. Monique has a half-moon scar on her left ankle and a three-inch scar on her right shin. Her left incisor tooth is chipped and she had a mole on her upper left lip. She occasionally wore blue wire-framed glasses. She was last seen wearing a men’s large military type green flight jacket and a men’s ring, which was taped onto her finger due to the fact that it was too big on her. If alive, she would be 42 years old. If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Monique Daniels, please contact the Moore Police Department at 405-793-5151.

In 1955, when white picket fences comprised the country’s spiritual aesthetic, Charles Manson married Rosalie Jean Willis. According to Heavy, the young hospital waitress was only 15 years old when she said “I do” to then-20-year-old Manson.
Willis came from a family which settled in Benwood, West Virginia. Born on Jan. 28, 1937, her parents split when she was still young. Willis was one of three girls and a brother and worked as a waitress in a hospital. Sometime in the early ’50s, her father a coal miner befriended a young man who had moved to Charleston, West Virginia with his mother Kathleen Maddox. His name was Charles Manson, who was then 20 years old. The two were married within the year on Jan. 17, 1955.

15-year-old Jessica Lyn Keen was an avid cheerleader and honour student at Westland High School. She had always been ambitious and dreamed of becoming a singer or actress. Her grades started to drop shortly after she met her boyfriend, Shawn Thompson. Her mother ultimately forbid her from seeing him until her grades improved. After an argument, Jessica’s mother sent her to a centre for troubled teenagers.
Just two weeks after, on the 15th of March, 1991, Jessica had an argument with Shawn before going to the mall. The last time she was seen alive was at approximately 6PM at a nearby bus stop. Two days later, her body was discovered in Foster Chapel Cemetery. It was theorised that she had been abducted by her killer and at one point, managed to escape and fled into the cemetery. Evidence showed that she had knelt down behind a gravestone in an attempt to hide from her killer. It was no use.
She had been raped and beaten to death with an old gravestone that had been pulled from the ground. The first suspect was her boyfriend, Shawn, but he was ruled out early on. He hadn’t been in the state at the time and his DNA didn’t match. The case eventually went cold but in 2009, Marvin Lee Smith, a convicted felon, was charged with her murder. While he wasn’t a suspect, new law ordered that convicted felons provide a DNA sample for a state database. He was sentenced to 30 years.

Find Annette Vail;
october 22, 1984 in tulsa, oklahoma, united states. eighteen year old annette was reported missing by her mother after her husband felix vail gave conflicting reports on where she had suddenly traveled to. felix alleged that annette wanted to make herself disappear, and that he had aided her with this by dropping her off at a louisiana bus station earlier in october. when authorities looked into this, they found that the reported bus station did not exist. in december of 1984, felix filed for divorce from the still missing annette before giving away all of her belongings as well as anything that could link the pair together. in 1985, felix would go on to claim that he had searched for annette in mexico, though this was proved false. while he baselessly told her mother that annette was a “zero image whore”, he assured the former that she was alive and living in mexico, having started a new family there. he announced in 2016 that she was alive, but that he couldn’t report on her whereabouts as she was a member of the “felix vail witness protection program”. felix was tied to the death of his wife mary vail and the disappearance of his girlfriend sharon hensley, both prior to his relationship with annette. in 2016, felix would be imprisoned for the murder of mary, though authorities suspect that he is a serial killer also responsible for the deaths of sharon and annette. annette remains missing.

The Mysterious Death of Kenneka Jenkins
In the early morning hours of September 10th, 2017, the body of 19-year-old Kenneka Jenkins was found inside a hotel’s walk-in freezer. Kenneka had been attending a party the night before in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Rosemont.
Several hours later, at around 4am on September 9th, her mother, Tereasa Martin, received a call from Kenneka’s friends stating that they couldn’t find her. They explained that she had gone missing when they left her in the hotel plaza to go back up to their room for something they’d forgotten, when they returned, Kenneka was gone.
In the recently released CCTV footage, she is first seen walking through the hotel with her friends at around 1am after the party. She appears to be steady, and is walking normally. However, when Kenneka is next sighted exiting an elevator sometime after 3am, she is alone and visibly impaired. She staggers out of the elevator, briefly leaning on the wall for support before heading down the hallway.
The cameras next catch Kenneka in hallways at around 3:30am, also alone. She struggles to head in one direction, and nearly falls over several times, but catches herself. The last clip of Kenneka alive shows her stumbling through the hotel kitchen, which appears to be empty.
She walks out of view of the cameras at 3:32am, the last time she was seen before her body was discovered.
Many people question how Kenneka opened and closed the heavy freezer door by herself, and how she went from seemingly fine to what appears to be heavily intoxicated during the time she was left by her friends, and when she is seen exiting the elevator by herself. Many believe foul play was involved.
An investigation into Kenneka’s death is underway, and police are currently awaiting results of a toxicology report that should help to shed some light on the young girls strange behaviour during her final moments.

On August 13th, 2018, Natalie Keepers (pictured left) pleaded guilty to concealing the body of 13 year-old Nicole Lovell (pictured right) back in January 2016. Natalie still faces charges of being an accessory before the fact to first-degree murder and she is expected to go to trial for those charges in September 2018.
Natalie was a freshman at Virginia Tech when she allegedly helped her friend David Eisenhauer plan the murder of Nicole Lovell back in January 2016. David was the one who actually committed the murder, and did not take long for him to be identified as a suspect after Nicole’s disappearance. After all, David and Nicole had corresponded numerous times via messaging app Kik, and Nicole had told her friends that she was planning to sneak-out to meet her secret older boyfriend named David. Natalie’s name was not even on the investigator’s radar; as they thought David had acted alone. In fact, once investigators finally took David into custody, they thought the crime had pretty much been solved. Detectives were shocked when David told them that his female friend Natalie Keepers not only helped him plan the murder, but she also helped him dispose of Nicole’s body as well. Natalie was arrested shortly thereafter and charged with being an accessory before the fact to first-degree murder and concealing of body.
Natalie’s guilty plea to the concealment of body charge is reportedly a legal tactic. Her attorneys are hoping that this guilty plea will limit the evidence in the trial for the more serious charge of planning Nicole’s murder. Natalie still maintains her not guilty plea for that charge. David has already plead no contest to Nicole’s murder and has been sentenced to 50 years in prison.

On the morning of January 24, 2020, the small and historical city of Paraty, located in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, became the scene of a tragedy. Marya Alice (4), Cauã (5), and Marya Clara (7) passed away as their stepfather set fire to the rented house where they lived with their mother. Dara Cristina de Almeida Santos Souza (25), the mother of the children, survived. The stepfather, Fernando Evangelista (36), started the fire in order to kill the children and live together with Dara Cristina. Early that morning, Evangelista had allegedly bought a lighter and a cigarette packet. With the items in hand, he headed to the house and, in an attempt to safeguard his girlfriend from the fire he was about to start, she was taken to the bathroom. Then, around 6:30 a.m., he set fire to a mattress next to the entrance as a way to prevent the kids from running away, soon before leaving for work. He blamed the 5-year-old child for the fire by arguing that Cauã was a naughty boy, however, his statement was put aside as the police heard at least seven witnesses, including relatives and the babysitter. Dara de Almeida Santos de Souza still hospitalized as a result of smoke inhalation. Her mother stated that she suffered facial and arm injuries and, according to Almeida’s uncle, she does not remember anything that happened that day and does not know about the deaths of her children.
Fernando Evangelista, described as a cold-blooded murderer who did not show any remorse, was sent to the Public Prison of Volta Redonda, about 98 miles away from Paraty.

An unlikely connection:
Jeffrey Dahmer is a famed serial killer and cannibal. Andrea Yates is a mass killer who murdered her 5 children.
The connection: both were declared legally same by the same psychatrist in court, Dr. Park Dietz. Dr. Dietz has not treated a patient since 1981 or 1982, and did not know if he had ever treated a woman with post partum depression, especially not one with post partum depression with psychotic features (Andrea’s Defense). However, he was instrumental in declaring both Dahmer and Yates legally sane, leading to both of their convictions

Crime scene photo taken on the morning of December 26, 1996 of the door leading to the ‘’wine cellar’’ in the basement of the Ramsey’s home. At the time this photograph was taken, unknown to the officer who took it, the body of six-year-old JonBenét Ramsey was laying behind the door. The little girl had been reported missing earlier that morning by her mother Patsy, who claimed she found a 3-pages ransom note demanding money for the safe return of her daughter. JonBenét would, instead, be found dead in the basement of the home by her father during the afternoon, who upon finding the lifeless body of his daughter, carried her upstairs, thus destroying key evidence. Had the officer who took this photograph simply opened the door you see, he would have found JonBenét’s body, and the case may have been solved by now. The officer did not open the door because at the time JonBenét had only been reported missing, none of the officers expected that she had, in fact, never been kidnapped. They weren’t expecting to find her dead in the home. This was just one of several mistakes made by the Boulder police department, who didn’t have the experience required for this kind of crime. 22 years later the JonBenét Ramsey case remains unsolved.
