I am sorry it took so long for me to answer this! I am horrible at Tumblr evidently. Plus it took a while to figure out how to word some answers and I’m just avoiding a lot of things lately.

Favorite animal: Oh don’t make me choose one. This depends on the day really. My favorite today? Any Norops lizard. They’re small and cute and vary in coloration depending on the species. Males have colorful dewlaps that they put on display for mating and territory fights. They can self-amputate their tails to escape predators and then grow them back!

Current time: When I wrote this? When I started? Or when I posted? There’s like three different answers here and I refuse haha.

Blanket you sleep with: Currently, a thin blanket and I maybe barely use it. It’s hot.

Dogs or cats: A theory I would like to collect more data on is that I think most people who answer cats also love dogs. But not necessarily everyone who likes dogs also likes cats. With that in mind, I will answer cats.

Dream job: This has changed a lot throughout my lifetime and probably will continue to change. At some point in life, sometimes multiple points, I have wanted to be: a writer, a doctor, a surgeon, a lawyer, a tropical ecologist, a geologist, an engineer, an actor, a Twitch streamer. I’m sure I’m forgetting some. Current dream job: no clue. Happy with the current one right now and I just want to get through 2020. I could probably stay with the current one until I retire (in 30 years?!) and that also kind of scares the heck out of me.

When I made my blog: I guess back in 2018. I know I had an older account that I just forgot the password to. I should work on reviving that.

Why I made this blog: I have a lot of fandoms that I love and subscribe too and just need more of, as can be seen in my history. I have thought about making specific ones for each fandom, but that’s a lot of work. So you’ll just have to bear with me and come along for the ride. Current obsessions: wayhaught, supercorp, and zombies, run!

“I wanted to challenge politically the kissing scene, which traditionally either has the surprise kiss scene thanks to a rain shower for instance, or the obvious kiss scene thanks to mustard on the corner of the lips, for instance, and it is generally carefully scripted as ‘They kiss.’ Or ‘They passionately kiss.’ And then it’s on the actors’ shoulders. 4, 5, and 14 for the five asks? 👀

Ahh thank you for asking! I realize I have not talked about my Five before on Tumblr and will have to rectify that soon with a post. I’m still developing my Five quite a bit, so I love these asks that force me to think about them more! 4. What’s your Five’s favorite weapon

My Five, or as I like to refer to them, B-Five, prefers their weapon of choice to be a plain ol’ knife. It’s lightweight, quiet, and easy to grab in a flash. Very practical and efficient, which is how they prefer to be when outside of the walls. They have a military background and so will usually have a gun on them as well, but they only pull that out in very dire circumstances. Or when they try to show off a bit for Sara. They are also really good at throwing knives, so they usually have more than one on them just in case.

One specific weapon that they will always have on them, no matter what, is this small little switchblade. They never use it, but carry it with them anyway in a little secret pocket that they have created at the back of all of their pants. It lies right under the belt so that it can mostly go undetected if they are ever patted down and put into a situation where they may need it. It’s not their favorite weapon, they actually probably hate it a whole lot because they acquired it at the worst moment of their life pre-Abel, but it did save them. So, they carry it around as a sort of horrible reminder to always have constant vigilance.

5. How does your five differ from you, if at allI’m glad you asked this as I was just literally making picrew differences between myself and B-Five haha. Their look may continue to evolve and change as I decide and try to make them look less like myself haha. In a lot of ways, we are pretty similar: We have the same sexual and gender identities, for the most part. We both have a twin sister, although they are identical twins whereas I am a fraternal twin. Because I love angst, I am going to have a lot of fun writing about twin struggles in S4. We are both Americans and of white hispanic descent. We both have science backgrounds, although we took slightly different paths career wise. They were stationed at a UK base, which is why they are in the UK at the start of the apocalypse, and managed the base’s wastewater/drinking water treatment plants. I think they are probably a little older than me and started S1 in early-to-mid 30s. They had a kid and wife, both of which I do not have, pre-Abel. They are much quicker to anger than I am and much more confrontational. I avoid conflict at all times, at all costs haha, but they don’t mind rushing head first into it. Not afraid to flip people off if they deserve it, which I think I am physically unable to do. They are definitely more guarded, more closed off. It’s a rare occurrence for them to talk about their past and only share little pieces of that to different people. The entirety of Abel would have to put all of their knowledge about Five together for them all to get the full picture. Whereas I probably overshare a lot haha.

14. If you got to pick a power for your five, what would you pick

I’ve been struggling with this one recently as I’ve been trying to decide how I want Five to emerge out of S2. It would be cool for them to have some sort of sixth sense with zoms that allows them to herd and handle them a lot better. And maybe even be able to communicate with them to a certain extent. But I’m leaning more towards physical qualities. I think it might just be that they are stronger, more powerful, than they used to be, allowing them to run faster and lift things and do all of the crazy things that Five does. But also less clumsy. Five has good hand-eye coordination, but I think that’s about where it stops. Hand to mouth coordination is not good (hah!) and there will probably be less tripping and falling and sprained ankles for them. Still working on this, so it will probably evolve as I flesh out B-Five’s story more!
