Maybe this makes me sound like a crazy person but the more time passes the more I’m convinced that the way someone reacts to furries is a litmus test for what kind of person they are. And I feel pretty justified in this bc conservatives have made them part of their culture war. Like you’ve got mainstream media convincing a bunch of boomers of the litter boxes in schools hoax. It’s just another iteration of moral panic over society becoming degenerate or whatever. Obv not everyone who’s shitty about furries is doing it for hitlerite reasons but I think it shows how easily a person can become comfortable being cruel to socially and/or sexually deviant groups of people if it’s socially acceptable to do so, or how easily they can be pressured into that cruelty by a fear of ridicule

If you’re an artist/writer/creative and you’re insecure about some aspect of your being I’m being so serious when I say that incorporating it into your creations will help you feel better about it. Maybe not completely, but it’ll feel less terrible once it stops being some freaky taboo thing you try to avoid thinking about or seeing. Plus it helps to mix it with something you already have a positive association with (creating) because maybe the nice feelings will stick to it for awhile and it’s nice to have a depiction of your insecurity that you can control.

If you advocate for mental health awareness, but joke about things like intrusive thoughts and schizophrenia, think it’s disgusting and lazy when people who are depressed can’t do things like showering or cleaning their room, use terms like “narcissistic abuse”, and believe that having ASPD, BPD, or NPD makes someone a bad person, you are not a mental health advocate. You don’t actually care about helping people or de-stigmatizing mental illness, you just want to make yourself feel like you do. You can’t pick and choose what disorders and symptoms are acceptable, and which ones make someone a bad person. Either you support everyone, or you support no one.

and if you’re neurodivergent/mentally ill and you do any of those things, you are part of the problem. there’s no such thing as “good/moral” disorders, or “bad/immoral” disorders. We all need to have each other’s backs.

Questioning NPD culture is wondering if anger is all I'll truly ever have. It's all I've ever had, it's the only thing that truly stays with me. My only guaranteed companion. Everything else fades or could leave me any moment. But never anger. Anger is always there, just below the surface, waiting for a reason to come to the top and make me look fucking psychotic because I just threatened to jump out of the moving vehicle because I was so enraged.

Yeah, never mind. Anger is all I'm worthy of having.
