Check out this legit 10 piece kit! @n_e_wilderness ・・・ So here's my #10piecekit challenge for the #sonsofnessmuk , for three days in the woods of Western Massachusetts in early spring. The number one threat in the woods here is hypothermia, so I'm bringing my zero degree (F) down sleeping bag and US army bivvy sack. If the weather is dry the bivvy bag can be stuffed with leaf litter to make an excellent mattress. Since @scruffuk is such a stickler as to count tarp and rigging as two items, I'll forgo overhead cover completely and make my shelter in one of our many half caves. I'll bring my @northxnorth.co merino pashmina for a pillow and 1000 other things. For cutting tools I will bring my @coronatools saw and @varusteleka skrama. The saw is a no brainer for me, as I'm not trying to cut firewood to length with a big knife or trip over extended logs. Wouldn't leave home without it. It was difficult to pick the skrama over a smaller knife, but in the end it's multi functionality and splitting ability won the day. There's a bunch of paracord on the sheath and sling, but I've no intention of using it. Matches in my @exotac match safe ought to do me for the 3-6 ignitions I'll be making, I've got diamond brand strike anywheres and UCO storm matches in there. I'll bring my big USFS coffee pot for water purification, wild edible gathering, and of course coffee. My canteen and cup did not come together as a set and should perhaps be considered 2 items, but if its good enough for @ahma_osmo it's good enough for me. For food I've chosen Swiss muesli, it's fairly complex with powdered milk and dried berries mixed into the oats and flour, and can be prepared and eaten several ways for a little variety. I'll also bring coffee, cause duh. I'd like to tag the other three woodsmen of the apocalypse, @campshaine @danasdayoff and @jims.outdoorz, even though he won't see this. #bushcraft #survival #adventure #fun
