Taming Shadows (AzrielxReader) Smut
A/N: This is my first ACOTAR related fanfiction! I read the series and fell in LOVE with it. I just wanna say that though this fic is about Azriel my heart belongs to all three bat boys…I just had this idea first. 🤣
Pairing: Azriel x Reader
Synopsis: When Azriel returns from a rough trip to Hewn City, the reader takes it upon herself to pick the Shadowsinger apart.
Word Count: 2,650
Warning: Smut, little plot, M/F, slight exhibitionism
Taming Shadows
It was just past Midnight as Velaris still hummed with life. Cassian sat opposite Nesta and Y/N, his face set in a neutral façade. He brought his hand up and pushed another hand full of coins and jewels towards the center of the table. Y/N looked between the two mates, she had been pulled into playing cards. With Azriel gone Y/N had her own suspicions as to why they chose this night to play.
With a ghost of a smirk Y/N sat her cards down before pushing every piece she had into the middle. Nesta’s mask dropped as her mouth parted slightly and shook her head, “Fold.”

Y/N walked into the common area, changed into a comfy pair of shorts and one of Bucky’s shirts. “What are you making, because it smells fantastic!” she said as she walked up behind Bucky wrapping her arms around his waist.
Bucky chuckled, “Welcome home and spaghetti, how was the rest of your day?”
“Meh, it was okay.” Y/N pulled herself up onto an unused section of the counter, picking up a piece of paper that was laying there, “Mostly just boring paperwork and meetings that could have been an email. Where is everyone?”
“Got called out on a mission.” Bucky replied as he walked over the fridge and pulled out some ground meat.
Y/N hummed in response as she looked over the paper, an old index card of sorts, with very neat and whimsical handwriting on it. She flipped it over to see initials scribbled in the corner. “Who’s S.R?”
Bucky smiled, “Sarah Rogers.” He stirred the contents of the pan making it sizzle louder.

A/N: Here is the long awaiting part 2 to Missed You! There will be a part 3…much sooner than when this was posted….mainly because part 3 spoke to me much more than part 2 so I had to write that first before my brain would focus on part 2. 😅😆
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Fem!Reader
Synopsis: Bucky and Y/N have crossed the lines that they where fearful to take. Not with a plunge or with a leap but in slow steady strides they take in sync. Or do they? What happens when reactions from the outside question what’s happening on the inside?
Word Count: 2,687
Warnings: Where a helmet, please. Be safe. People in love. No smut but tune into part 3 😉
Love You
Y/N slowly blinked awake before rolling over reaching for her phone that was charging on the nightstand. Just as the phone screen lit up, she was pulled back by Bucky’s strong arms. He kissed the back of her neck, where it met her shoulder.
“I don’t want to know what time it is,” his voice was deeper in the morning, more gravely, right after he woke up.
It was one of Y/N’s favorite sounds. “What about Sam and Steve?”
“Who?” Y/N could hear the smirk in his voice. “Never heard of em’"
Y/N snuggled back further "Alright, if you say so."

As an American, I will not be celebrating the 4th of July, as I am not proud of my country and don't feel like it deserves to be celebrated in its current form.
I will however celebrate America's Ass today. Happy Birthday Steve Rogers.

Veterans Home Pt.2 (SteveRogersxReader)
A/N: Part 2 of Veterans Home, Part 1 can be read as a Oneshot but I wanted to give this one a little extra.
Pairing: Steve Rogers x Reader
Synopsis: Living with eleven other people, who you spend the majority of your time with, can get a little overwhelming. So everyone gets personal time within the compound. Whether people use it to workout, site see or just take a nap, it’s time that is uninterrupted. Steve has been leaving the compound lately and you become curious as to where he is going. You finally find out.
Word Count: 3401
Warnings:Smut!Smut!Smut!
Veterans Home Pt. 2
Steve weaved in and out of the Brooklyn streets. You clung onto his sides as you peered up and around, taking in the atmosphere of people mingingling and children playing while zooming past all the houses butted up next to each other.
Steve brought the bike to a stop in front of Spiazio Slices and an instant smile spread across your face. “Pizza! How did ya’ know that is exactly what I wanted?”
“Because who doesn’t want pizza?” He replied as you got up off his bike and worked on getting the helmet off your head.
Steve turned his bike off and got off himself as he took the helmet from you, “Psychopaths” You smiled as he placed a hand on your lower back as the two of you walked in.
As you entered the building it was like walking back in time. A handful of small two person wooden tables were scattered around the black and white tiled floor. The red walls were outlined with dark wooden panels and decorated with a collage of frames and memorabilia. You look over to the open kitchen where several people were busy mixing, tossing and topping pizza before sliding them into a wood burning pizza oven. The smells of fresh pizza wafted in the air and made your mouth water. The deep sweet acidic smell of tomato laced with a plethora of spices was thick in the air. Cut by the salty whey of the fresh mozzarella cheese being shredded and added to what could only be assumed to be a secret blend of other cheeses.
“Steve!” A young man with a clean shaven face and combed back hair yelled out as he wiped his hands on his apron that was folded in half and tied around his waist.
“Vinny, how’s it going?” Steve replied.
Vinny came out from behind the counter, “Just got done with a rush, you came at the right time my friend, and who’s this?”
“Hello, Y/N.” You gave him a smile as you held out your hand.
Vinny laughed, “Forgive me outta uniform it didn’t click, you’re an Avenger, and I don’t do handshakes.” He came in giving you a quick friendly hug. “Pick a spot and I’ll bring out the slices, what ya wanna to drink?”
Vinny was already walking back into the kitchen as he asked, “Lemonade, if you have it.” You replied as Steve walked over to what you assumed was his usual spot.
Vinny nodded as he disappeared to grab your food, “So you come here often?” You asked as you sat down in the chair Steve pulled out for you.”
“I knew his great grandad,” Steve replied as he sat down across from you. “His original shop was small, tucked into a spot between buildings, just enough room for two people and an oven. But it was the best damn slice of pizza you could get any place in the world.”
“Still is the best damn slice of pizza you can get anywhere in the whole wide world.” Vinny said as he approached the table showing off the skills one could only acquire from working in the industry. He balanced two plates on his left arm, one with two slices of pizza the other with what looked like an entire pizza stacked on a plate. “Here you are and the drinks.” He set down the two drinks he was holding in his other hand. “Enjoy, let me know if I can get ya anythin’ else.”
“Thanks Vin.” Steve said as he pulled his tower of pizza in front of him.
You picked up a slice and folded it in half before taking a large bite. “Oh my god,” You spoke with your mouth full. “This is really good. Like I’m not even exaggerating.”
“I told ya,” Steve said as he also dove in. “So, I guess I’ll bite, did you follow me to the veterans home or?”
“I’m sorry, that’s super top secret information that you most definitely don’t have clearance for.” You grabbed a paper napkin out of its dispenser to wipe the grease from your mouth and hands before reaching into your bag, pulling out the white envelope. “But, if you promise not to tell anyone, I found this in a hallway.” You slid it across the table with your fingers.
Steve’s eyes softened as he picked up the envelope, “I couldn’t find it, I looked everywhere.”
“I opened it to find out its owner,” You continued. “Steve, I’m so sorry. My comment and the situation, its–”
“Hey,” Steve cut you off, “There’s nothing to apologize for, please.”
“I still said it and even though I had no idea, it still affected you.” You said before taking another bite.
Steve took a drink, “How about next time I just tell you what’s happening in my head.”
“Only if you bring me here to tell me.” You had finished your first slice and had begun to dive into the second.
Steve chuckled as he placed the envelope in his inner jacket pocket. “I agree to your terms, even if they are outrageous.”
“It’s my golden rule of negotiations Rogers, go big or go home and settle for what you want."
The two of you sat and talked long past the last bite of pizza. Your laugh filled the room as Vinny and his crew began to wipe down the tables and stack the chairs. As the laughter died down, Steve finished off his drink and for a moment the two of you fell into a comfortable silence.
Steve shook his head slightly as his smile grew, "Come on, I wanna show you somethin’.” He pulled out his wallet as He stood up and left a sizable tip on the table. “See ya next week Vin!”
Steve grabbed your hand and pulled you out the door. The sun had gone down and twilight began to take over the city. You found yourself clung to the back of Steve once again as he made his way back towards the Brooklyn Bridge.
Steve brought you down close to the banks of the East River, to an area that opened up, giving you the most amazing view of the city you had ever seen.
You climbed off his bike and ran up to the railing. You stood at the New York City Skyline Lookout, the smell of the water wafted passed your face, you could hear the lapping of the waves and the dull hussle and bussle of the city around you. You loved seeing the city at night. It was a whole other world. A different kind of vibe that took over from the day. It had grown to be your favorite version of the big city you now called home. “This is an amazingly overwhelming view.”
“Ya know, this view has never changed.” Steven spoke as he joined you. “It may have gotten bigger and has a few more lights, but it still feels the same.”
“I read that comic by the way.” You said as you leaned over, resting your cheek on Steve’s shoulder, your hands came up to wrap around his arm.
Steve leaned into you, “And?”
“If you didn’t have the people you do have right now, it may have been accurate ,” You looked up at him. “But the idea of time, in regards to you, was painfully on point.”
“I know, ” Steve’s voice had a sliver of sadness to it. “I knew this time would come, when my old life would slowly start to disappear, I just didn’t realize how hard it would be."
"However hard it may be, your old life will never disappear, as long people still have memories to share and pass down, it will never die.” You looked up at Steve. “And I plan on listening to every single story you can remember.” Steve looked out to the water. Taking in your words.
You reached up and placed a kiss to his cheek. The silence took over again as you leaned back into Steve and looked back over the water. Steve however was looking at you.
Just as you watched a boat slowly putt away you felt Steve’s large warm hand gently slide across your jaw, turning your head to bring his lips to yours. The butterflies began to instantly swirl as you kissed him back. Steve moved the two of you so that your back was pressed against the handrail. His hands came down to rest on your hips, pulling you into him. Your hands slid up over each ripple of his chest and over his neck, until they came up to either side of his face pulling him towards you.
You were drunk on the energy that the kiss created. The competition of who wanted more and both of you were going to win. Breaking apart, you sucked in the air that you didn’t know you needed. Still holding one another with your foreheads pressed together, you took in the moment.
Steve’s small laugh broke the silence, “I think we should head back to the compound.”
“Yeah,” Your voice came out a little breathy as you were still trying to pull yourself together. “Or we could, right here, or no, yeah your right.” You smiled.
Steve gave a playful look of disapproval, “Of course yeah, what was I thinking?” He took your hand and led you back to his bike as he spoke.
“I mean I thought getting railed by Captain America, under the glow of the Brooklyn Bridge, covered by the veil of night was on every ladies bucket list.” You teased back as you pulled the helmet on.
Steve mounted his bike, you followed suit, he turned his head back to you, “I mean, if it’s what you want, but I was thinking of something a bit more romantic."
The ride back to the tower felt like a dream. You clung to Steve and let your hand wonder up and under his shirt. Your hand roamed over his torso until it was joined by the other. Your fingers began to explore lower and Steve pushed his motorcycle faster.
There was something magical about being in such an intimate bubble while the city surrounded you. People flew by in a blur unaware of the sweet hunger being created.
When you arrived back to the compound you made your way back to Steve’s room like two teenagers out past curfew. You were giddy as you couldn’t keep your hands or lips off each other.
As soon as the door closed your lips connected again and you began to peel the clothes off each other. You pulled away as Steve reached for you. You shook your head as you grabbed his hand, leading him to the foot of his bed.
Steve had a smirk on his face as he relished in the confidence and power you had over him. You giggled slightly as you leaned up giving Steve a slow kiss. Your hand came up to splay across his mountain of a chest before giving him a playful shove. He willingly fell back onto his bed.
Steve laid back supporting himself on his elbows. He watched as you slowly crawled up his body and kissed him. It was slow and deliberate. Steve balanced on one arm as he slid the other up and around to your back. He dragged his fingertips down your spine, sending a crackle of energy through your body, making you arch forward. He brought his lips between your breasts kissing down your center.
Your hand came up and carded through his hair as he pulled soft moans from your mouth. You leaned back up onto your knees before reaching down between you. You wrapped your fingers around his thick shaft and slowly pumped it. Steve watched as you played, he wanted to keep this image forever. The way your eyes were blown out and how you were on a mission to pick him apart, how you were succeeding.
You gently reached down, cupping Steve’s balls, letting them fall from your fingertips as you dragged them up his shaft, forcing his penis against his stomach. You took note of every shiver as you ran your fingers over him again, applying more pressure.
His stomach twitched as you went over the base of his penis.
You pressed your thumb gently onto his frenulum, getting a jolt from Steve, slowly you slid your thumb down to the base of his penis. Feeling the groove of his vain, you went to the left of it and began small circles. Steve’s head fell back in a moan. It made your core throb. You kept even pressure as you dragged up his shaft towards his head. Another moan.
You lined him up with yourself before slowly sinking down onto Steve until you bottomed out, you swear Steve’s eyes rolled to the back of his head.
You sat down further, "God, you feel good.” Steve tipped his head back up, the tips of his ears were beat red.
“I haven’t even started.” You reply as you slowly begin to gyrate your hips in a circular motion.
“Hrrgggaaah,” Steve was breathing hard, “Well would ya start, you’re not the only one who has things they want to do.”
You leaned forward, supporting yourself on Steve’s chest, you kissed him briefly. “Careful what you asked for.” You brought your hips up slowly before slamming yourself back down.
You sat up slightly without missing a beat and continued your sinful movements. Steve fell fully back onto the bed in bliss. You took your confidence in stride as you pushed him over the edge. You felt his large hands roam up your legs leaving a trail of fire behind them, they came to rest on your hips and you felt his fingers dig into your skin as he pulled you closer. Wanting more of you.
You sat up, head tilted off to the side completely enveloped by the overwhelming feeling building inside. Steve sat up and gently cupped the side of your head. You leaned into his touch as he gently brought your lips to his. He slowly kissed you, letting his lips drag over yours as you both took deep breaths.
“My girl has tricks.” You could hear the smirk in his voice.
You let out a breath laugh, “If you thought those were tricks."
In one fluid motion, Steve was up on his feet, supporting your weight. Steve’s lips never left yours and he stayed buried in you. Before you could string together two brain cells you felt a cold smooth surface on your back as Steve pressed you into the wall.
With the leverage of the wall Steve began to slowly rut into you as his lips found their way to your neck. He pulled small whimpers from you as your breath grew heavy. Steve hooked his arms under your knees and gently spread your legs out. His pace quickened and a moaning sigh came from you.
Letting your arms fall onto his shoulders, you carded your fingers through his hair, up his scalp. He dropped his head to rest on your shoulder as he continued his pace.
The knot in your stomach grew and you could barely process the stimulation that tingled its way across your skin.
"That’s it doll face.” His voice was deliciously low and it’s what did it. “Oh,ah, god.” He could barely speak as he felt you begin to flutter around him.
You let yourself go, letting the wave of ecstasy crash down over you. By the strangled moan that Steve let out, you knew he was right there with you. Steve slowed to a stop, letting himself fall out of you and the only noise that filled the room was your heavy breathing. Steve lazily brought his mouth to yours as he brought the two of you over to his bed. He sat down bringing you down on his lap.
“I thought you wanted romance?” You looked at Steve with a smile.
He looked back, “I thought you wanted to get railed by Captain America.”
You laughed as he helped you off of his lap. Your legs felt reminiscent of a newborn giraffe as you steadied yourself. “Wanna take a shower with me?” You asked as you slowly made your way towards his bathroom.
Steve watched you a moment before he followed you. You cleaned each other as you shared languid touches and kisses. After you were done and had toweled off, the two of you crawled into bed. Steve wrapped his arm around you, pulling you in close.
“How are you feeling?” His voice was just above a whisper.
You turned slightly to meet his gaze, a smile pulling at your lips, “Like the entire cosmos is celebrating."
"Yeah, that’s an understatement.” Steve placed a kiss on your temple, “Goodnight doll face.”
“Mmm, goodnight.” After the activities of the night and a hot shower, your body slipped off into a blissful sleep.
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
The kitchen was a chaotic place come Sunday mornings, as it was usually one of the days everyone could make breakfast and or dinner. Usually the first person up would start cooking and as the others stored and made an appearance, they would begin helping to make the feast fit for the Avengers.
This particular morning, all who were at the compound was up, Sam was up first and started making the pancakes while Bucky was on egg and toast duty. Nat and Wanda took care of the bacon and sausage as well as cutting up a variety of fruit. Clint was grabbing condiments and toppings for the pancakes and Vision was in the process of setting the table.
Everything was coming together, platters and dishes steaming with hot food were being placed on the table, drinks were being poured and the chaos dwindled as everyone began to settle down. It was then that you and Steve made your entrance.
“Well look what the cat dragged in,” Same exclaimed as he made his way to his seat.
“May I remind you of the rules,” Bucky began as he reached for a pancake, “You two have dish duty.”
“Yeah, yeah,” You responded as you grabbed the pot of coffee.
Steve simultaneously grabbed two mugs and sat them down for you to fill, “Creamer?”
“Please,” You felt his hand on your lower back as he walked behind you to open the fridge. You stepped to the side to place the almost empty pot back on the coffee maker as Steve poured the creamer in your coffee, he handed you your mug.
“Thank you.” You say with a smile.
He placed a quick kiss to the top of your head as he grabbed his own before the two of you turned to see everyone at the table watching.
Silently and instantaneously everyone began to rummage in their pockets or quickly leave the table before returning with wallets and change purses.
“Okay, Sam you owe me eighty” Nat said as she pulled out a bundle of cash, “What do I owe you Barton?”
“Fourty,” he said as he shoved a piece of bacon in his mouth before pocketing the money.
Vision handed his take to Sam while Bucky took his from Wanda and Sam, “I mean he is my closest and best friend,” He fanned the visually larger money bundle he took from Sam, “But nice try.”
“Really guys?” Steve’s voice was playful as he went to sit down.
You narrowed your eyes at Nat before setting your mug down, “I’ll be right back.” Everyone watched and waited with confusion as you disappeared for a moment. When you returned you came up to Nat and handed her a twenty, “You called it."
Hoots and hollers filled the room as everyone was shocked and extremely interested as to what the bet between you and Nat. As everyone began to eat, they settled into a rare bubble of normalcy, friends and family alike enjoying their morning.
You looked at Steve who had a smile on his face. As he continued his conversation he nonchalantly reached over entangling his fingers with yours. You took a moment to relish in the feeling of the moment, surrounded by all the love and support you could ever ask for, holding the hand of the man you adore and you couldn’t help but think of how happy you were.

You sat on the couch with Natasha, a bowl of popcorn between the two of you and random stacks of movies scattered around the coffee table in front of you. You had decided to use your free afternoon to watch some favorites.
Currently you were watching (Y/G/P/M). You let out a small laugh in response to a joke when you heard footsteps enter into the living area.
“Hey, Steve.” You said as you peered around to see him grabbing a gatorade from the fridge.
He turned back around with a smile, “Hey, enjoying your afternoon?”
“Immensely.” You responded as Natasha turned up the volume. “Headed out?”
“I won’t be out long,” He came around and stood behind the couch. “I’ll have my phone if you need me but,”
Nat sighed as she cut him off, “Only call if it’s an emergency, like someone is dying, aliens are attacking and the fate of the world rests on our shoulders, emergency. Got it.” She didn’t look away from the screen. “Now shush it’s getting to the good part.”
“I’ll see ya later.” He said a little louder, just to annoy Nat.
You had to hold back your smile as you saw Nat’s eyes squint slightly and you could tell she was contemplating murder. “See ya.” You waved as he walked out of the room. “Where do you think he goes?”
Nat was silent.
“Oh come on, you’ve seen this a million times.” You laugh as you throw a pillow at her head.
She caught it. “He used to go see Peggy and after her passing he stayed in for a while, but now I don’t know. Guess that’s why it’s HIS personal time.”
“Stop. Where can he even go where he’s not bombarded by the press or fans?” You question. “Do you think it’s a girl?”
Nat instantly paused the movie. “It would be a very Steve thing to do.”
“Not bring her back here, as to not overwhelm her.” You continued. “Could it be a newer thing?”
“Or a not even a thing but he wants it to be a thing, thing.” Nat’s eyebrows slowly scrunched as she spoke.
You took a moment to go back over her sentence. “A crush?”
“Oh no,” Nat picked back up the remote. “Is that jealousy I hear.”
You took the remote from her hands. “Nope."
"Uh-uh.” Nat said with a grin as you pushed play.
You could see Nat looking at you in your peripherals. “You can side eye me all you want Romanoff. Steve’s a big boy and if he wants something to do with me he can decide that.”
“You’re a big girl too ya know.” Nat responded.
The two of you settled back into your day off without another word spoken about the situation.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
You sat at the breakfast bar eating some leftover spaghetti. It was just past noon and everyone seemed to be doing their own thing, so you decided to grab some food and catch up on life. You sat with your bowl in front of you, an elbow on the table with your phone propped up in front of your face, your other hand shoveling forkfuls of pasta in your mouth every few minutes.
Steve walked into the kitchen, drawing your attention. You slowly lowered your phone to the counter as he walked to the other side across from you.
“How was your afternoon yesterday?” You asked as he rummaged through the cabinet.
He turned with a bag of chips in his hand. “It was great.”
“You won’t give me anything?” You pushed with a smile. “Just something little, come on.”
He took the chip clip off and tossed it on the counter. “It’s called personal time for a reason.”
He leaned back against the counter as he reached into the bag, a defiant smirk plastered on his face.
“Lets see,” You continued after taking another bite. “Are you learning something new and are too embarrassed to share?”
“No.” Steve reached back into the bag, “I’m amazing at everything I do, no need for embarrassment.”
You shook your head, “Oh! Fight Club?” You pretended to get extremely excited.
“Rule number one.” Steve instantly shot back, “Good movie.”
“Trying to change the subject?” He smiled back at you as you sat for a moment silently before an even bigger grin spread across your face. “Does Steve have a girlfriend?”
He laughed, “No, I mean not exactly.”
“Oh!” Your interest peaked instantly. “So there is a girl!” He quickly turned to leave the room. “This isn’t over Rogers.” You sing songed after him.
Just before he left the room he turned and shrugged as he popped another chip in his mouth.
You shook your head with a smirk, “Oh Steve, I’ll get it out of you one of these days.” You finished off your food before heading back to your room.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
Your alarm goes off, pulling you out of the depths of slumber. You roll over onto your back, letting yourself sink back into the mattress. It felt so good to be in your own bed after a long mission. Four days was hardly the longest mission you had gone on but it was long enough. Everybody was ready to fall back into a normal schedule.Which is why you pulled yourself out of bed at some ungodly hour before the sun was even up, to go workout.
You waltzed into the gym as everyone else was trickling in, joking around and stretching as they got ready for the next few hours of torture.
“Where’s Steve?” You asked as you came up to Sam and Bucky. Sam was tying up his shoes next to Bucky who shrugged as he stretched his flesh arm across his chest.
Your jaw practically dropped. “Thee Mr. Steve Rogers is late!?”
“Only by a few minutes, calm down.” You spun around as you heard Steve, he walked up letting his bag drop beside Sam.
“Isn’t that like a decade for you?” You couldn’t help but poke. “I mean you’re getting up their Cap, every minute counts.”
“Go stretch. Now.” Steve pointed towards the sparring mat unamused.
Sam chuckled. “Sounds like someone’s in trouble.”
“It’s my middle name.” You said over your shoulder as you made your way to the mat.
Bucky gave Steve a look, “You good?”
“Yeah, just in need of a good workout.” Steve began to stretch, “Too much going on up here.” He tapped his head.
Bucky gave his friend a reassuring smile before joining Sam for their workout. Steve took a swig of water before approaching you on the mats.
“Okay, stances, let’s go.” He nudged your foot.
Standing up you settled into your first defensive stance. “Someone’s cranky.”
Steve lunges at you, testing you. With a quick step and jump you dodged out of his way. Swinging your leg back towards Steve, he brought his forearms up to block, you adjusted instantly and pulled your ankle back and dropped your angle connecting your knee with his ribs.
“I’m not cranky.” He grunted out as you fell back into your second stance.
You had to keep from smirking. “Could have fooled me.” Steve came low this time. You attempted to dodge out of the way but he clipped your foot, halting your momentum. Quickly you corrected yourself, landing on your hands you pulled your feet over and back down to the floor in a half somersault. “What did you do?”
Your question threw Steve off.
Taking advantage of the distraction you let out several punches that Steve blocked, “What do you mean what did I do?” He grabbed hold of your arm and spun you around holding you in a choke hold of sorts.
“This girl of yours, you had to have done something.” Your voice was strained as you spoke. You kicked your feet up to get leverage to free your hand. Stepping back you fell into your third stance. “You’re out of it Steve. Or lost in it.” You smiled. He let out a defeated sigh, “Seriously, you look like someone died or something. What’s up?”
“What if someone did, Y/N, huh?” Steve’s voice almost echoed. “Why do you have to always push? Why can’t we just workout.”
You stood in shock for a moment before realizing Steve was already on the offense. He swung with aggression, his movements out of his usual pattern. You just barely managed to block each one. With each swing he pushed you further back. Just as you reached the edge of the mat you snapped out of it.
You stepped to the inside of his foot, sweeping out making him lose his balance for a moment. In those seconds you went low keeping your head tucked, hoisting him up and over yourself, you made him flip over. Steve let out a slight groan as he landed face down on the hard gym floor.
“Lets fucking go.” You said sternly.
Activities in the gym came to a screeching halt as everyone cautiously watched on, eyeing each other, silently deciding who was going to step in.
You stepped back towards the center, pacing back and forth, “You got something to get out of your system? Then by all means let’s get it out of your system.” You pushed again. Knowing deep down Steve was instantly regretting his actions. He didn’t break eye contact “No? Then I suggest you check yourself.”
Steve clenched his jaw as he started walking to the door, leaving his bag still on the bench and the workout unfinished. You watched, keeping a stern look but feeling confused inside. Never has Steve talked to you like that, your anxiety instantly pushed its way up through your stomach, did you push him too far? Everyone’s eyes were on you before they quietly went back to their workouts.
You pushed those thoughts to the back of your brain as you walked over to grab your towel, “Hey doll, don’t take it too hard.” Bucky said as he held the punching bag for Sam.
You looked over, “Do you know what’s going on with him?”
Bucky shrugged, “Not sure, but do me a favor?” Sam stood up breathing hard, “Let him cool down before you go talk to him.”
“Your middle name is trouble, with a capital T.” Sam shook his head laughing as he switched spots with Bucky.
“Also.” Bucky punched the the bag twice, “Whatever that was, was impressive, don’t let Steve ever forget he was brought down by such a pretty dame.”
Your lips pulled into a smile as a laugh escaped. “Oh, that won’t be a problem.” You say as he continues with a satisfied grin. You grabbed your things off the bench and made your way back to your room.
You walked straight into your bathroom and turned on the water to take a shower. As you stripped off your clothes you threw them onto the trunk at the end of your bed. Being barely worn you decided to wear them tomorrow to workout. Stepping into the shower you felt the hot water begin to cascade down your skin.
As you continued to wash your hair a knot of guilt began to form in the pit of your stomach. Your brain began to cycle through your fight with Steve, picking apart each second and replaying it over and over in your head. Why didn’t you notice his mood change? Or that something was off? Why didn’t you just stop and be there for him? Why were you such an idiot?
The thoughts cycled as you rinsed out the last bit of conditioner and all of a sudden you didn’t want to be taking a shower anymore. The time it took to turn off the water and pull back the curtain and grab your towel was taking too long.
Once you had a towel in hand, you quickly began to dry off as you walked out to grab some clothes. You didn’t make it to your closet, instead you sat down on your bed and held your head in your hands. You dragged your hands down your face, pulling your skin down. The wave of guilt washed over and drowned you. After several deep breaths you pulled on some clothes and made your way down the hall to Steve’s room.
You softly knocked on his door and waited. “Come in!” You heard him say.
You opened the door to find him sitting on his bed with several piles of papers and folders scattered around him.
“Hey,” you say as you walk up to the bed, “Do you ever stop working?”
He picked up a new pile of papers and began to sort, “This is something that needs done, so i’m doing it.”
The tone of his voice made you feel like running, but you were already standing there in the middle of his room so the next best thing you could think of was to just get it over with. “Look, I wanted to apologize.” Steve looked up at you as he slowly sat the pile down. “I realize I took it too far, I didn’t mean too.”
“Don’t apologize.” Steve said after he took a deep breath, you noticed his shoulders relaxing a bit. “It’s okay.”
“Sometimes I don’t know how far to push it with you,” You sat down on the edge of his bed, carefully not to disturb his piles. “You keep me on my toes, always ready with a comeback or burn. Just let me know, in the future, because I really don’t like grumpy Steve.”
“This week didn’t quite go the way I had planned.” Steve shrugged. “You didn’t take it too far, I just wasn’t in the right headspace and took it out on you.”
You smiled slightly, “Anything I can do to help?”
“No, no.” He ran his hand through his hair as he let out a breathy laugh, “Thank you though.”
You stood up, “If you think of something just let me know.”
“I know where to find you.” You could see the twinkle of your favorite Steve shining through.
You started walking backwards towards the door, “Creep.” You shot back with a smile and just as you turned to leave, a basket caught your eyes.“What are these?”
“They are a present from a fan, it was delivered while we were out on the mission.” He got up off his bed and came to stand beside you.
He watched as your fingers delicately flipped through the contents. “Are these first editions?”
“Some yeah, there’s a hand full in here from the forties.” He pulled one out, “But, this one is one of my favorites. Captain America: A Man Out of Time.”
The selection seemed bittersweet,
“Why?” You asked.
“It’s the closest version of me I’ve read.” He let the comic slide back down into place, “And it’s wrong.” He looked over to see your confused face. “Have you read it?”
You shake your head, “No.”
“Here.” He fished it back out. “Read it and tell me what you think.”
Before you took the material you brought your hands up around his waist, pulling him into a hug. “I’m sorry your week didn’t go as planned.”
He let his arms come to rest around your shoulders. “Me too,” You pulled back. “But guess it comes with the job.”
You took the comic from him and flipped through it quickly, “That it does. See ya tomorrow and for God’s sake would you stop working for two seconds.” Steve walked towards you with a smile forcing you to walk backwards as you continued to talk, “I mean lets be real, these are your golden years, and you’re going to waste it on paperwork? I would be more than happy to turn it all into confetti for ya and then the real party can start!”
He pushed you back until you were outside his door. “Goodnight Y/N.”
“Goodnight Steve.” You smiled as you made your way back to your room.
As you entered your room the ball of anxiety had disappeared and a small smile pulled at your lips.
You guys were good.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
It was another week, another quiet day. Mainly due to the fact half of your friends were out on a mission. You were kinda bummed you didn’t get to go and even more bummed Nat and Wanda had to go and you now had to find a way to entertain yourself. Everyone was out except for you and Sam, but you opted to grab a snack and chill rather than join him in the gym.
With a bowl of ice cream in hand you made your way back to your room. As you exited the elevator you noticed a small white object in the middle of the floor. As you reached down to grab it you realized it was an envelope.
You turned it over to find a blank face and you could feel something inside. When you got back to your room you sat your ice cream down and began to investigate. It was a small envelope and it wasn’t sealed, the top flap was just tucked under. You carefully untucked the flap and pulled out the contents.
A thank you card was revealed and it felt thick, like there was something else inside, you thumbed the card open to reveal an invitation to a celebration of life. The name Milton John Robert was printed across the top of the paper with two pictures below it. One of a very nice looking old man and another younger version of him in his military uniform. The funeral had already passed, it took place a few weeks back during the four day mission.
After the invitation was a folded up piece of newspaper, Milton’s obituary was cut out and folded up, you set it to the side. Inside the card was beautiful handwritten note:
Steve,
I know you wanted to be here and Dad would have been overjoyed but we also understand. The world never stops turning does it?
Dad looked up to you so much and we as a family can’t thank you enough for filling the last of his time with such wonderful happiness.
We can never repay you for what you brought him but please take his comics. He wanted you to have them. Some of them he has had since the 40’s. Enjoy them and please don’t stop bringing the joy and happiness to all of the veterans at the home.
Thank you,
Jessica and Family
You felt the warmth of tears begin to well in your eyes. “Oh Steve,” is all you could say as it clicked with you. The outburst, your choice of words, it was enough for anyone to push back. You knew it wasn’t all you, but it saddened you they Steve didn’t just tell you. That you made it worse without knowing.
You unfolded the obituary to find that Milton had stayed at the Veterans Home not too far from the compound. Without another thought you placed the contents back in the envelope, grabbed your leather jacket and rushed out the door. Ice cream forgotten and left to melt.
A nice perk of being an Avenger was the fact you never had to drive anywhere if you didn’t want to. In a matter of minutes you had asked Friday to call up a driver and by the time you made it to the garage he was waiting for you with the door open ready for you. After giving him the address the driver nodded and took you to the veterans home.
As you pulled up to the home you saw Steve’s bike. “Yup this is it, thanks.”
“Would you like me to wait?” The driver asks you.
You opened the door and hopped out, “Nope, it’s alright. Thank you.”
He nods as you close the door and he drives away. You walk in through the double door entry to be met by a receptionist.
“Hi, I’m looking for Captain Rogers?” You asked the lady sitting behind the desk.
“Oh he’s down with the residents now, would you like a visitor’s pass?” She asked with a smile.
You smiled in return, “If I could, thank you.”
After filling out a paper you took your visitors pass and followed the directions to the residents hall where you were told Steve was.
As you turned down the hallway you reached a doorway that opened up into a larger room. You leaned against the doorway watching as Steve enthusiastically reenacted a Captain America tale about the Howling Commandos. You stood for a moment just taking it in.
“Sometimes he plays the piano, or we listen to old records and have ourselves a dance party. Today he is telling the tales of Captain America.” A nurse came up to stand beside you before gesturing to the crowd of residents. “I don’t think they have any idea what’s going on but wherever they are, they’re happy, and that’s really all that matters.” She placed an open palmed hand on your shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze before going to help one of the residents adjust their back pillow.
You decided to wait outside, before he could notice you were there. You made your way back up to the front desk. “Hey, if you could keep the fact I was here on the downlow I would appreciate it.” You say to the receptionist. “It’s not a crazy big deal but for now it needs to be.”
“Of course!” She replied back. “I hope you’re not in too much trouble.”
“I’ve been told it’s my middle name.” You joke back with a laugh, making her laugh. “Have a good rest of your day.” You say as you walk out. You hear a faint you too before the door closes.
You notice a bench sitting off to your left, out of view, and decided to take a seat.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
“Okay Norm, where are we off to today?” Steve asked as he pushed a man in a wheelchair, his oxygen tubes clinging to his sunken face and a thick blanket covering his legs.
The man sat up slightly, “Home. They’re sending me my rifle.”
“Is that so.” Steve continued to push Norm down the hall to his room.
Norm shook his head, “They are sending a guy right now. He’s going to bring me my uniform and everything!” His voice grew.
A nurse stepped out of Norm’s room as she went to take over for Steve. “Okay Norm, get a good night’s sleep. Report for duty at oh eight hundred you got it?”
“Yes Captain.” He saluted before being brought into his room.
Steve smiled slightly as he made his way up to the front desk. “Have a good night, see ya next week.”
“Finally got Norm into his room?” The receptionist asked.
Steve shook his head slightly, “It’s getting a little more difficult each and every time.”
“Always is.” The receptionist smiled. “See you next week.”
Steve nodded before making his way out the doors.
You watched as he placed his hands in his pockets as he walked. “So this girl, is she a resident or an employee?” Steve whipped around quickly before letting his head fall back as he let out a sigh. “If I have to fight an old lady, I will, I won’t be happy about it but I’ll do it.” You got up and walked up to him just as he pulled his head back, looking down at you.
“And why would you be fighting old ladies?” He questioned back with a raised eyebrow.
You cross your arms in front of you, “Look competition is competition. I’m working with quite a large age range here and if I have to fight an old lady to establish what’s mine then so be it.”
He looked at you, adoration beaming from his face, a smile pulling at the corners of his lips. “Oh I think Ruth could give you a run for your money.”
“Ruth!?” You cracked your knuckles as you began to walk back towards the front doors.
Steve caught your arm and spun you back facing him, “How about you spare Ruth and in return I take you out for some food.”
You acted like you were taking a moment to think it over before making your way over to his bike. “Steve Rogers are you asking me out on a date?” You picked up the helmet he had sat on the seat.
“I believe I am. Now where would the pretty lady like to eat?” He replied as he plucked the helmet out of your hands and slid it on your head, clipping the strap under your chin.
You tilted your head slightly, “Surprise me.”
“Hold on.” Steve swung his leg over the bike before turning back towards you. You hopped on wrapping your arms around his waist as his bike roared to life. Steve weaved throughout the backstreets until the Brooklyn Bridge was in sight.
End.

Let Me
It had been almost a year since you had become part of the Avengers. Something you never thought would happen, not that you didn’t think you could, but because of the craziness it represented.
You were an extremely hard worker, joining the ranks of Shield and working your way up the ladder. There were so many better than you when you joined and you expected that. Coming from a background that left little room for experience you knew you would have to hit the ground running.
So you did.
Always early to class, late to leave. If you weren’t in the gym you could be found in the shooting range or deep into your studies. The librarians of the Shield Library knew you on a first name basis and had an office pool going on if you actually slept.
Your hard work paid off when you left the rest of your class in the dust. You didn’t stop after graduation and after several years of working your way up you found yourself leading Shield’s strike team, aiding Steve Rogers, Captain America himself. Everything seemed to be going great until the rug was pulled out from under you.
Shield falling, you could handle, it was hard but you always knew such a large entity had an equally large target on them and as the saying goes, the bigger they are the bigger they fall.
But losing your team, it broke you.
It was the fact you knew these guys that went through thick and thin, right beside you. These guys you trusted with your life, who had your back and you had theirs. They were traitors. All of them.
You slipped away, back into nothing, attempting to live a normal life that you tried to convince yourself you were content with. Your mind felt like sludge, and your thoughts exhausted themselves constantly wading through it.
After some time Steve came to ask you if you wanted to join the Avengers, and at first you declined. It took the full stubbornness of that man to get you to cave and agreed to at least check it out. It’s how you, a little ol nothing became an Avenger.
You moved into the wing that was shared between Steve, Sam and Bucky. With four bedrooms and a common area it was the only wing with a room available. Sam welcomed you with open arms and was the easiest to click with. Bucky, while nice and polite, was also very quiet and kept to himself. It took weeks for the two of you to start talking and from there this friendship began.
At first you didn’t want to see a therapist, you didn’t feel ready and Steve didn’t push you. It was between late night hangouts and workout sessions that Bucky convinced you to start going. Only then did the real healing start.
At some point since then, you had gone past the friendship line with Bucky. The two of you naturally started to gravitate towards each other. No one said anything and personally you didn’t care, you just enjoyed the ride you were on with him.
…
After an entire day of training, meetings and paperwork you found Sam and Steve in the common area, starting dinner.
“Smells good, may I join?” You ask from the doorway.
Sam looked up, “You gunna backseat cook?”
“Of course.” You say as you came up to the island.
“Fine.” Sam said with fake exasperation. “But you gotta help chop.”
“Grab some veg.” Steve was already cutting a few and he gestured towards the fresh produce pile on the counter.
“Steve! Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?” You teased as Steve deadpanned and Sam busted laughing.
You could see the smile attempting to pull at the corners of his mouth. “My mother’s dead.”
“Damn, you used that card tonight!” You jumped in and grabbed a carrot. The jokes and laughter continued on as the meal came together.
With dinner made and eaten, you sprawled out on the couch with Sam and Steve enjoying the satisfaction of a good meal and the pure laziness the night was turning into.
“Oh no, get back here. I ain’t done with you yet.” Sam said as he flicked his controller, following the monster in the video game back into its forest lare.
You were content to watch as Steve sat drawing in his sketchbook. It almost felt normal.
The sound of someone entering the room pulled Steve’s attention. “Hey Buck.”
“Hey.” It came out soft and you glanced over at the man. “Came to grab some dinner.”
“It’s in the oven,” you sat up slightly to look at him with a smile, “kept it nice and warm for ya.”
A grateful smile tugged at his features as he continued to dish himself up some food. You took in his disheveled appearance, the ever growing dark circles under his eyes, even the way he moved gave way to his exhaustiveness.
You fell back onto the couch and glanced over at Steve, trying your hardest to not react, but Steve could see the concern in your eyes. Just as you could see it in his. Bucky left with a small plate, retreating back to his room.
“This has gone on for what, four days?” Sam spoke gently as he continued to play his game. “Are we really just going to sit here and let it go on?”
“I’m not sure if there is anything we can do.” Steve let his sketchbook fall to his lap.
Sam leaned forward slightly as he began another fight. “We gotta try something. He’s going to hit a wall soon.”
“Any ideas? I’m all ears.” Steve asked, waiting for the response.
You pulled yourself up from the couch and stood up, “I’ve got one." You spoke before making your way out of the room.
"I meant to discuss and decide together,” Steve said to your empty spot as he pulled his sketchbook back up, “But it’s cool, you do you boo.”
Sam chuckled slightly, “She does any other time, why would this be any different? Besides, she’s good for him.”
Steve shook his head as they fell back into the laziness.
You on the other hand had made a beeline for your room. You walked in, straight to the bathroom and your stash of luxury bath products. You grabbed the whole paper bag, throwing in some other pampering items and left. You came to Bucky’s door and knocked three times before waiting patiently. You heard movement before the door opened.
“Hey doll.” You saw straight through his mask.
“Oh Buck.” You brought a hand up to the side of his face and felt him lean into it. His facade melted to reveal the tired and tortured Bucky beneath it. “May I come in.” Your voice came out soft as you coaxed him back into his room, closing the door behind you.
You let your hand fall down his flesh arm and gently wrap your fingers around his wrist. You walked backwards towards the bathroom. He let you guide him, too tired to protest.
You sat the bag down before you began to pick up and tidy the bathroom of clothes that had been tossed without a care. Bucky sat down on a wooden slatted bench that sat against the tile wall, the bag at his feet. You watched his form slump down slightly and his eyes trained down on the tile in front of him. You felt an ache envelop your heart as you slowly came to position yourself between his legs, he leaned forward till his forehead came to rest on your stomach.
“I don’t want you to pity me.” His voice was small.
Your fingers lightly dragged across his shoulder as they settled around the back of his neck, your thumbs stroked just before his ear.
“Do you feel like I am doing this out of pity?” The tone to your question was genuine, as Bucky looked up at you. The tears in his eyes threatened to spill over. “I’m doing this because I love you.” Bucky swallowed hard as the tears slid down his face, meeting the palm of your hands. “I know we have been dancing around each other for awhile now and I know this may be too much for you. I’m more than okay going at whatever speed you need but right now, just. Please let me help you.” Bucky shook his head up and down slightly. A smile pulled at your lips before you leaned forward and placed them quickly to his forehead.
His arms came to wrap around your waist and firmly pulled you in, not wanting to let go. You bent down slightly grabbing the handle of the bag before bringing it back up. Bucky sat back, his hands still on your waist.
“Okay, I’m going to set this up,” you pulled a basket out of the bag that was spilling over with tea candles. “In there, are are two plastic containers. Pick one from each you think smell the best.”
It didn’t take you long to place the candles around and light them with the matches you kept in the bottom of the basket. You then turned your attention to running the bath. Getting it to a perfect temperature before coming back to Bucky.
“I like these.” He held his selections in his hands.
You took one of them and brought it over under the running water, watching it erode and disappear, forming large fluffy bubbles in its wake. A sweet, smoky scent began to fill the room with notes of citrus wafting around. “Wanna drop the other one in?” You turned and smiled at him.
Bucky lurched forward and came to stand next to you, “Just?” He held it out over the rising water. You nodded encouragingly. He dropped the ball in the water, watching as it began to fizz and froth amongst the bubbles. The calming scents of lavender and chamomile mixed into the air, all together creating a relaxing aroma.
Bucky was mesmerized by the swirls of blue taking over the water. He looked over to find you pulling your shirt off. His eyes widening slightly.
“Oh, you’re joining?” The nerves were front and center.
It wasn’t the first time he had seen you naked or close to it, but this time you were not on a mission or needing stitched up.
You stood in your underwear and tank top, “I was planning on it, unless it’s not okay.” You pulled your hair up into a bun. “Just to clarify, I’m not expecting anything more than a bath.”
“Okay, it’s okay, It caught me off guard is all.” Slowly Bucky followed suit, starting with peeling off his shirt.
After shedding the last of your clothes you climbed into the tub, slowly sinking into the steaming water. You glanced up at Bucky, still in his briefs, before motioning to the space in front of you.
He haphazardly pulled his hair into a bun before discarding the last bit of clothing and joining you. He climbed in, sitting in front of you, with his knees popping out of the water slightly. Your knees were on either side of him as you sat up closer. Sliding your hands up his back out of the water you watched as Bucky seemed to relax a little further. You slowly began to trace slowly down his back, letting your fingers glide over every scar. As he felt your touch run over the thick scarring around his arm, you heard the metal whir in response.
Bucky moved his arm slightly in an attempt to quiet it. “I’ve imagined how your touch would feel.” His confession was calm.
You continued to trace, “How does it compare?”
“God.” It was a breathy response paired with a shake of his head, “it doesn’t.”
“Good, because I don’t want to stop.” You let your hands slip back down his back, into the water.
You sat up a little further placing a string of kisses down his spine. Starting at the nape of his neck while your hands roamed open palmed from his sides, up over his abs, to just under his chest. Pressing fully against his back you hugged him back into you as his flesh hand clasped on top of yours.
“Friday, please dim the lights and play something quiet.” Your voice was just above a whisper. The AI responded by letting the soft notes of slow jazz play through the speakers.
You leaned back, tugging Bucky with you. His head came to rest on your shoulder and even with the super soldier size tub, Bucky barely fit. You laid in the tub for what seemed like forever. The jazz continued on as you continued to absentmindedly draw and move against his skin.
Your fingers found their way up to his scalp and Bucky responded by shift to give you a better angle. You carded your fingers through his hair, letting your nails gently scratch back his head. Your fingers pressed and dragged down his neck and over the top of his shoulders. Your thumbs almost digging past his shoulder blades, working out every knot as good as you could.
When your fingers began to tire you pulled him back on top of you again and continued with the gentlest of touches all over his body. You let yourself get lost in the moment and enjoyed the relaxed bubble you had created.
After some time you noticed Bucky fighting off sleep, his eyelids slowly sinking down over his eyes only for them to quickly open again before repeating.
“We gotta get out Buck, you’re falling asleep on me.” You nudged him slightly, “and we’ve been here so long the water’s starting to run cold."
Carefully Bucky got up out of the water, his body sluggish from his relaxed state. He helped you up, making sure you were steady. You toweled yourself off and blew out the candles as Bucky left to find clothes, letting you get redressed. You managed to put your underwear and tank top back on, not having the energy for much else you shoved the pile of extra clothes on the bench before stepping out.
Bucky stood in a pair of black boxers briefs as he redid his bun, taming the wild hairs that had escaped. It was a delicious site and one you would store away for yourself.
"Is it okay if I stay?” You ask as you sit on the edge of his bed with your right foot tucked under your left knee.
“More than.” Bucky spoke through a yawn.
As you made yourself comfortable he crawled into bed beside you, wrapping his arm around your middle and pulling you close.
“Thank you.” You heard him whisper before pressing his lips against the back of your shoulder.
You smiled, “You are always welcome.”
He tugged you in tighter before drifting off, you followed shortly after.
When you woke the next morning, the sun was shining and creating a warm glow throughout the room. Glancing at the clock you saw that it was not yet nine in the morning. Bucky still lay sound asleep beside you. You got up to use the bathroom, fully expecting to find Bucky awake when you came back, but to your surprise he was still out. Not having the heart to wake him you settled back in and chose to enjoy the moment for as long as it would last.
You drifted in and out of sleep until a rustling from the door took your attention. You watched as Steve and Sam poked their heads into the room. You raised an eyebrow at them, “Can I help you?” You whispered yelled as quietly as you could.
“Oh no, this answered all our questions.” A grin stretched across Sam’s face.
Steve shook his head slightly, “Sorry!” Steve’s face had an apologetic look as he forcing Sam to leave.
You squinted at the door before turning over to find Bucky looking back, with a soft smile and eyes half lidded and sleep still swimming around.
“Did they wake you?” You asked.
He shook his head, “I’ve been awake for almost twenty minutes, was just enjoying this.” He woke up slowly, “How long did I sleep.”
“Close to thirteen hours.” You giggled. “Didn’t even stir when I got up to pee."
A delightful sigh came from Bucky, "Best sleep I’ve gotten in a while,” He stretched before rolling over and propping himself up on his elbow. “All thanks to you doll.”
“You don’t have to thank me.” You looked up at his well rested face, the dark circles faded and a glint of energy behind his eyes.
“Payment then.” A smile creeping on his face.
You scoffed. “You are not-”
Before you could finish, you were silenced by his lips on yours. He pulled away slightly, silently asking and praying that it was alright. You answered by lifting yourself up to catch his lips again. Your hands finding their way behind his neck, pulling yourself up and closer as he brought his other arm down across you. Caging you against the bed to keep the two of you from toppling over.
You leaned back into the cushions, Bucky followed without breaking the kiss. You broke apart, with the need to breath, “That will be the only form of payment I accept.” His forehead rested against yours and you could feel him chuckle against you.
“What about breakfast?.” He replied.
“Okay, I will accept two forms of payment.” You nodded, “However we are well past breakfast and quickly approaching that line between brunch and lunch.”
Bucky quickly got out of bed in exaggerated panic. “We gotta go, we can not miss this window.”
“We may have to resort to, dare I say it.” You paused for dramatic effect as you sat up. “Breakfast for dinner.”
Bucky let out a gasp. “No!” You giggled as he picked you up out of bed and boosted you up over his shoulder.
“Bucky! I need pants!” You playfully punched his back.
He placed you back on the ground with a grin on his face. “Okay, okay, I guess. But hurry up I’m starving.”
“Withering away before my eyes.” You added as you quickly ran to the bathroom and grabbed the rest of your clothes. “Okay ready.”
Bucky held the door open for you, “After you.”
“Why thank you.” You made your way to the common room, Bucky by your side.
As the two of you made breakfast you were too caught up in your own little world to notice Sam and Steve smiling on like proud parents.
End.
Let me know what you think!

Me during the therapist scene in FATWS.
Seriously though the therapist really got me riled up.....
Like lady let's just lay it out...we fought in WWII, was taken captive and experimented on by Hyrda, was saved by our lover best friend and became part of a special ops group, only to fall off a train into a fuckin' gorge, survived, like survived, only to be found by Hydra to be experimented on again, brainwashed, tortured, forced to do their bidding, in and out of cryo for like 60+ years, broken out of our conditioning by our lover best friend, spent two years re-learning who the hell we are, framed, attacked and practically hunted for things we had no control over, had a little vaca, then turned around and fought a giant purple raisin of a man from OUTER SPACE, didnt exist for five years, continued the fight against the purple raisin man, then our lover best friend left us for the freakin' 40's......and no I do not accept the ending of Endgame...AND YOU WANNA COME AT HIM FOR NOT HAVING AND KEEPING UP FRIENDS ON A DEVICE THAT HE PROBABLY DOESNT REALLY LIKE IN A POST BLIP WORLD HE AND EVERYONE ELSE IS STILL TRYING TO NAVIGATE.!?!?!?!
I could go on. But I won't. I just needed to get that off my chest.
