Truth Be Told

He tells her the truth

Beside fruit-bearing trees.

Shadows show the shortened time-

That's been stripped from his life.

Yet he's bottled all

His feelings inside.

No other but him

Truly knows the signs.

He's aware as he-

Plays with braids or curls,

Hers or his,

He doesn't mind.

-

He's adopted frowns

While broken dreams show clearly inside

His robust but-

Neurotic mind.

-

High fences rise.

Trees continue to grow.

He burdens her

With his ageless soul

And his fucked up, insecure, darkened mind.

-

He observes the orchard.

Mends it everyday.

For that is the place

He got down on one knee.

Tree branches extending like a loving mothers open arms.

In her sweet grasp you can feel no harm.

Through all your sadness, tears will flow away.

She has such a spark. Such a charm.

She'll hold you close throughout her days.

She'll scold you, say it's a phase.

You'll feel grateful and bolder.

But when you get older

You'll push her far, far away.

Hear her scream for you- Like an alarm.

-

When you are both wiser- Older

You'll toss no more petty lies.

Now she's here, but soon she'll die

And you'll be freezing, you'll be colder.

In her last hours you should hold her.

Each time

We come in contact

I feel

Your warmth

Through my feet

Up my legs

Through my stomach and chest

To the top of my skull

But alas

When all contact is over

You must to return

To the world in which

You came

Before the human race

Grabs you

For research.

Against your shoulder

As we sensually

Passed

Each other

By

I remember

The sapphire blue

Eye shadow

And the ruby red

Lipstick

Softly caressing

Your chilling blonde hair

"I will never have another

Quite like you."

Goodbye From Water

Heartfelt goodbye's

That I heard across the sea.

When I said "I love you"

I got nothing

But a numbing silence

And tears.

Followed by an

"I'm so sorry..."

So I discarded my emotions

And a blackening death

Filled my disembodied soul.

I branched out

But..

You derailed me.

Many of them consume the night sky.

Shining off snow stacked on the ground.

Shooting across this darkened pit-

Barely making a sound.

That one! How I wish I could fly

And take an ever-lasting breath...

If you'd only show me how,

I'd be forever in your debt.

I'd much rather be there than die.

Be there in the depths of space.

Now I'm here- I can't believe

I'm gazing down on the human race.
