guys. Let grandpa Cas tell you a story about the old days.

I am a millennial. So I have been a swiftie since day ONE. Not that I believe that makes me better somehow, it's just a fact. So in....let's see...early middle school? Somewhere around there, I had what was called an ~iPod~. It didn't connect to the internet. You had to plug it into your MASSIVE desktop which sat in the livingroom of your home and download music to it. And each song cost $0.99. Which was expensive for a kid with no job. So, iTunes (now known as Apple Music) had this cool thing- The Song of the Week. It was a free song that you could download! For free!!! And one week, the song was Teardrops on My Guitar by this RANDOM girl, Taylor Swift! And everyone in school was like- WOW this song is SOOOOO RELATABLE. And BAM! A swiftie was born.

(This was probably in like...maybe, 2007. if you guys really want me to I can check my old iTunes account and see when I downloaded it.)

Hell. This had to be hell.

He mentally smacked himself upside the head for allowing his ancient coworker to set him up with her grandson as he listened to the man go on and on, all while he had a giant glob of sauce running down his chin.

"- and I've actually become the youngest to be named one of CNBC's Thirty Under Thirty," the man - Gilderoy - yammered, throwing Remus a disgustingly braggy smile.

"Don't you mean Forbes?" Remus asked, incredulous.

The man stared for a moment, startled, before giving Remus another annoying grin. "Right! Sorry, it's hard to keep track, you know?"

Around this time, Remus realized that their waiter was listening in, sneaking glances as he set the table next to them. The waiter, who had introduced himself as Sirius, was gorgeous, with long black hair, a tattooed frame, and, if Remus remembered correctly, much kinder eyes than Gilderoy.

"You know," Gilderoy said suggestively, grabbing at the plate between them, "oysters are supposed to be aphrodisiacs."

It was ridiculous. So insane. Because anyone with a brain could tell this date was going horribly, so for Gilderoy to actually suggest that anything might happen was asinine. But before he could say so, Sirius turned around, chuckling.

"Mate, I don't think all they oysters in the world would help you with that," he laughed to Gilderoy, before turning to meet Remus's eyes, throwing him a wink.

And Remus, who felt his stomach flip, spoke before he could think. "Dunno. If you were the one giving them to me..."

Needless to say, he left the restaurant with someone, but it was not Gilderoy.

hiii this is homeschooled anon i just wnted to wish you a happy pride month!! im going to a parade with my mom on the 8th. do u have any plans?

Hi! Happy pride!!! Yes, I'm going to pride events next weekend and the weekend after! I'm excited but also nervous because I'm such an introvert, so it'll be a lot to be in big crowds- but at least it'll be great people!
