Phoenix Quill's Inktober: Day 4, the Ocean Witch

She wields two wands at once, making it easier to make sea typhoons by spinning the water. She can make "reverse typhoons" to hold herself up in the water, leave the water, or reach higher places. People say she ends up looking like a sea goddess, she is flattered, but refuses the title.

Her wands are made out of coral rich in magic when alive, even after being broken off it's body, the magic lasts in the wands for 7 to 24 years, she also uses chemical treatment on her wands to preserve the magic, giving them a durability of about 47 years. The magic inside these wands is important for two things; when she uses spells, instead of only extracting her magic, she can preserve her mana by having the wand contribute, the second reason is to have a wider arrange of spells possible, certain types of magic can't do certain types of spells, which is the forte of witches, making spells with magic that isn't native to yours.

Despite not being a sea creature, she is pretty good at talking with them, she has a Al Tinnin, Kelpie, the capricorn spirit, the pisces spirit, the aquarius spirit, a Terrible Dogfish, at her disposal. Her dream is to aqquire a Kraken, Leviathan or Jörmungandr.

I spent most of the day ignoring the thought of coming up with her but then I said "fuck it, I'll just make her because I have too, I won't think about making it any good" and I ended up enjoying it??? And I felt creative and got the juices flowing, anyway I was happy about that, I may change her in the future but considering that before drawing her I was like "ugh ok Im gonna make a cool design with no lore to make this quicker" but I still somehow made lore shows how excited I got, this is why I love inktober, man

Phoenix Quill's Inktober: Day 3, the Dragon Witch

She's a red dragon, and they don't tend to study witchery, wizardry and such, so she's an odd one out amongst red dragons. She's known as THE dragon witch because of that, even though there are technically more dragon witches of other species.

She didn't have a teacher and got by learning magic by deciphering books and experimenting, because of that her magic is kinda "off-brand", you see, she couldn't read the books that well so she kinda guessed what they said, with lots of trial and error, she felt like she learned the books but she actually made it totally different. She started to write her own magic book with how she makes her spells and her instructions are things like "[...]think about something you hate and hold your wand tight[...]", "[...]you need to break open a clam and eat it, but only if it's red[...]", "[...]rub your wand for it to work", "drink swamp water", "it necessitates you taking 7 cockatrices' organs, all of them for no chance of failure", "and stab them with your wand, clean the blood later or use it for spells" and such. She has such a way with words.

She also holds her wand with a fist, which is deemed incorrect by the Benona Witch Comittee, here are some words from their members about her:

"I once read her book and it's incomprehensible from my perspective. What the hell does "add pepper to your tongue to make it easier" mean? What kind of stuff has she cooked, half her book is detailing ways to do gruesome things that bring you discomfort to do spells, it doesn't have to be that way, I, for one, never do this because I can gain my stress source from the outside world without any need of pepper or cockatrice bites!"

Phoenix Quill's Inktober: Day 2, the Puppet Witch

Ah, the girl? Oh no the puppet is the witch, of course!

Little puppet's named Fantóchima and the girl's name is Micalena(both are subject to change in the future). Micalena is a witch but she pretends not to and pretends that all the spells she makes are actually executed by Fantóchima. She knows a variety of spells and isn't specialized in a single thing, but she is very good at throwing condensed energy at people.

Her clothing is also inspired by Festa Junina, with the plaid pattern, stiches, and the three lines on her cheek that somewhat resemble the freckles some people draw on themselves during Festa Junina

Phoenix Quill's Inktober: Day 1, the Witch of Eyes

(Her hat is supposed to be shaped like an eye from above)(Her fingernails have eye print)(I tried drawing optical illusions on her dress but I'm not built for this)

She has eyes that she can control and see through, on her hair, on her bag, and her earring too. Inside her bag are more eyes. She characterizes her work as a witch by mastering illusions, like optical illusions, and turning ropes into snakes.

You can make a contract with her by letting her use your eye, or take it. What she offers via contract is to give your eye(that's left) something special, see something for you(like spy on people), or use her illusions.

Would you give her your eye? I would let her use my eye, because then she'd see everything I see and I can draw a naked satyr to freak her out

The Alola protagonists are by far the most spacey, ":)", unreactive protagonists and for many years I thought it was just a fault of the game that theyre like that and that they did it out of not wanting to put the effort or immersion idk, but yknow what? Every other protagonist has reactions so this to me is just their personality now, they're head empty, only happy, sometimes scared or surprised, but mostly all happy thoughts inside head, even when evil people try to kill them
