“Look what the cat dragged in,” Hale said. The corner of his lips tilting up into a knowing grin at the sound of the familiar voice behind him. “Care for a drink, mate?”
He grinned and looked over at his old friend. “Dragged? More like begged me to come in.” He nodded. “Sure a drink sounds lovely right now.” He moved and sat down next to him.

He looked at her a bit taken aback by what she said to the person who had asked that. He shrugged. “Nice stash to have. Very pretty and shiny. Any other perks come with running the gift lounge?”
“What? I am running the gift lounge. So what if I keep my own secret stash of goodies? Host perks,” Kenzi shrugged, when someone questioned why they weren’t allowed to have the last tiffany’s bracelet.

“What? This? It’s just a scratch?” Mads said followed by a little smile as she watched the person enter the room. She knew she looked like crap. She was in a lot better shape than she was before, thanks to werewolf healing and all, and would be released soon enough, but it didn’t change how broken she still felt. She was terrified for both her cousin and her friend of the same name and wanted more than anything to go after them. But, instead, here she was, stuck having to put on a brave face.
Ace looked at Maddy grateful to have found the woman alive. She smiled back and walked over to her. “I was so worried when I heard you were int he hospital.” She wanted to hug the woman but didn’t want to hurt any of the injuries she could see. “What can I do to help you?”

“Well look at that. You found me,” Nate looked up from where he sat on the hood of his car at the person walking up to him. He had woken up from being knocked out during the explosion and had preceded to check himself out. Despite the unfamiliar smile he wore, he wasn’t ready to go back up to his typical hide out on the roof, like nothing happened. Even if he was pretending everything was fine, a part of him knew he was far from it. The boy was no longer human and, for the good or the bad, he’d never be the same again. Holding his bag of chips over towards the person beside him, he offered up, “Corn chip?” And although the red head’s smile said ‘nothing was wrong’, it was pretty clear from the twisted look that now haunted his eyes, that he was not the same guy he was a few days ago.
Ace looked over at him. “I didn’t know I was looking for you but it is good to see you.” She had been really worried he had been seriously hurt or killed in that attack. She didn’t know what was up with that smile but it didn’t look like any of the ones he had ever given her before. It looked fake and she didn’t want him to feel like he had to fake anything with her. She walked closer and nodded her head. “Sure.” She reached over and took a handful of them. He didn’t look okay at all and there was definitely something wrong but he hadn’t pushed her to reveal what was wrong with her so she wouldn’t push him. She leaned against his car but didn’t move too close so as not to make him feel like she was trying to invade his space. She wished she knew what she should do or say to help but figured there was nothing. If he wanted to talk she would talk or listen but if he wanted a distraction she was willing to offer that up too. “This your car?”

“Oh I have tons, Cassie and I have legit spent hours rehearsing silly moves just for fun, wanna learn some?”
Ace laughed and nodded her head. “Sure why not. I would love to learn some of these moves.” It sounded like a good way to spend the time.

“I have to say that when things go wrong, it’s actually entertaining. Because how often do these kind of things happen? Chili mishaps, modeling mishaps, it’s quite entertaining to be on the sidelines watching the madness.”
Ace looked over at the man and smiled. “It seems like here these things happen a lot. Although I’ve never seen this many things happen in such a short period before. I think I enjoy being on the sides watching rather than in the middle covered in chili though so far it has been very entertaining.”

“The events are never boring.” He pointed out the important distinction with a grin. “Those quiet periods between events can be a real dry spell.” Adam was mainly teasing. Hollow Grove had its quiet nights but when an event rolled around, the town went wild. “The fun is in the chaos.”
Ace nodded her head. “I am starting to learn that. At least there is no massive snow storm with this one. Not sure I could handle another mini snowpacalypse so soon.” She shrugged. “I haven’t really been here long enough yet to experience a dry spell.” She teased back and smiled. “I am starting to learn to embrace chaos though it may take me a while to fully get there.”

“Trust me, the last thing this place is is boring,” Lorelei joked, chuckling a bit at the memories of all the things she’d experienced in town since moving here. “I’d like to say you get used to it, but you never really do,” she added. She was happy to see Ace smiling though and seeming to enjoy herself through everything. “But the real question is what’s been your favorite part so far, hmm?”
Ace looked over and smiled at Lorelei. “That’s true. If there is one thing this town never seems to be it is boring.” She shrugged. “Maybe some could get used to it but I don’t think I ever could. Or want to.” She smiled and thought about that for a moment. “It was fun to see the different baskets people made and also to watch the game between the fire department and the police. What has been your favorite part so far?”

Waving her pompoms in the air she did a twirl, “Bringing you neutral cheerleader realness, who said that you can’t support both teams?” she asked with a grin.
Ace laughed. “I think that makes the game more fun and it sure does give you more people to root for. Got any good moves?”

“I think that was the move exciting game I’ve ever been to before. I know not everyone could win but they should have been able to.”
“It definitely was a lot of fun to watch that’s for sure.” She grinned and nodded her head. “Yeah it would have been nice if everyone was able to win.”
