When i think of HOPE, i think of YOU

when they talk about sunshine, my heart calls out your name

the human embodiment of "LOVE", maybe you were born in the month of love because you're so full of it

when the sun shines brightly in the sky after the thunderstorms, it reminds me of how you stand tall while fighting the hardships life has thrown at your way

from hiding myself to accepting me for who I'm, my eternal source of inspiration has always been YOU.

a devine creation of god themself,

she's the WOMAN;

she's the power, she's the prayer, she's the karma.

" I'm the moth, you're the flame

my existence is set ablaze,

what a fool I was, to think that you and I will embark on this journey of "forever" together.

what a fool I was to even think that your embrace will be my safe place always.

what a fool I was, a fool who thought I'll get to hold your hands and walk on this path of life with you.

what a fool I was, to give you my all.

what a fool I was, a fool who was thinking that you'll cage my heart with safety and will protect it from all the agony.

what a fool I was, a fool who was lost in your eyes; a fool who cradled your soul close to my heart.

what a fool I was, to think of calling you "mine" forever.

what a fool I was to fall in love with you, you who tore heart apart and ripped it open.

I was a fool to love you, someone who set my soul on fire and left me under the numbing rains.

every vein in my body pumping with love

love for you but you splintered it apart

this heart of mine is now torn apart into pieces

this soul of mine, once blooming with your love

is now withering away with the pain of letting you go

I was ready to face the thunderstorms

I burnt my bones to keep you warm

only for you to abandon me in the coldest nights

you were the sunshine, lighting up my life

now, keeping myself breathing has become a fight

Death is a woman do not fear her

her scythe is only for protection against groping hands that line the road to Tartarus

before she claims a soul she lays her scythe down and sings

embracing that soul with fierce loving arms she sings

heedless of fire floods plagues bullets bombs

her song is in a tongue that was already old when ziggurats rose in Babylon

if you could decipher it you would know all things have their time even stars and galaxies must go quietly offstage

You left me at my lowest

yet I pick you back up from yours

you always say we would drown together

but it feels as though I’m your chore

i gave you my my floaty and you took it with grace

but never offered to share 

when you saw the look on my face

i constantly try to fix it

but I know we can’t be saved

because deep down I know you don’t care for me

and I can no longer numb the pain
