#foodporn 😋 Fresh rye & spelt toast topped with my vegan Green Goddess pesto (lil bit of vegan mayo under there) and a yellow split pea/chickpea hummus. Not one of my normal lunches as I'm not feeling the hunger, but this fulfilling and pretty nutritious snack sized lunch will keep me going. I know my moto is eat to live but sometimes I hit the happy medium. Yum! 👅 #vegan #vegetarian #hempoil #hummus #eattolive #eattolivenotlivetoeat

Some of you have been admiring my copper water bottle. It’s not just a fine looking water bottle, there is a purpose. Firstly, I would not suggest that everyone have a go at drinking copper water. It was recommended to me by my yoga master and an Ayurvedic doctor to aid with iron absorption and as an anti-inflammatory. Here is a bit of information on why we drink from a copper vessel. Remember, you should not drink copper water all day long. ✨ Copper is an essential micro-nutrient and helps with development of body organs, red blood cells, absorption of iron and anti-oxidant just to name a few. ✨ A small amount of copper ions dissolve into the water when stored in a copper vessel for several hours. ✨ Do not drink copper water all day long or all year long. Too much can be toxic. We should already be getting copper in the food we eat and obviously in vitamin supplements if you are taking them. ✨ Drink a small amount for 3 months, then take a break for about a month before another 3 month routine. ✨ Make sure you have a pure copper vessel without other metals mixed in. ✨ Fill you cup, jug or bottle with water and let it rest for 6-8 hours. ✨ Drink a little bit in the morning and again at night. Only a small amount is sufficient. I share with you this information as I find that the routine of taking a small amount of copper water, making better choices with what I eat and an holistic approach to yoga practice has had many health benefits in this season of my life. Ayurveda states that when you drink copper water, it has the ability to balance all three doshas in the body – Vata, Pitta, Kapha. You can read more about ayurveda and the doshas, a great source being a book by Dr Svoboda - Prakriti: Your Ayurvedic Constitution. To your health!

We've created a playlist of most of the chants & songs from our debut Kirtan on January 28, 2017. We were so blessed to have so many sweet souls in our company sharing this journey. Chanting has helped up grow and overcome obstacles so we could get together and do cool stuff. It really was a wonderful evening together. Get out there and do cool stuff!

Last minute homemade gifts! This chai sugar scrub is super popular with my friends & family. It can be used as a hand scrub, lip scrub, body scrub and smells like a sweet warm mug of chai. In fact you can add this to your tea or coffee for a coconut chai flavour. It's edible! I use a handful of fresh spices dominant in cardamom: Grind together Cardamom, cinnamon, clove, ginger, black pepper. Melt 75g coconut oil with the spices. I like to let this melted mixture sit for a few hours so the spices steep into the oil. Strain and let cool. Mix the spiced coconut oil with sugar. I use organic granulated but any sugar will do. Brown sugar is luscious. Mix it up. Get some sweet looking jars from charity shops, craft or cheap stores and pack the sugar scrub into the jars. If you can find little wooden or stainless steel scoops that's would be a lovely touch. A festive bow tied around the jar is a neat finishing touch. Try not to get water in the mixture as this might make it harden. That's where the scoop comes in handy. Use in the bath or shower but remember this is not a soapy cleanse. This is sugar and oil and will leave your skin super soft. Massage onto skin & rinse off. You will have soft smooth warm chai flavoured skin! A warming winter treat for skin and senses. Adjust the spices as you like you can used already ground spices, maybe a quarter to half a teaspoon each. I bet chai teabags steeped in the melted oil would also work. Have fun making cool stuff for you and your friends! #chaisugarscrub #diybodyscrub #chai #diychristmasgifts #skinfood #skinkind #allnatural #natural #veganskincare
