Spoilers ahead- Read on your own free will! Friendly reminder to all Shadowhunters, Warlocks, Vampires, and Downworlders alike ~ These opinions are mine and mine alone. Be respectful and kind even when you don’t agree. We are one fandom, one Shadow World.

Holy fucking shit! I’ve watch the episode twice now and i still cant get over this episode. It was outstanding! With a mix of new and a mix of old, this season finale is awesome for show fans and book fans.

First we have Sebastian summoning his mother, the evil and awful demon- Yeah, you know that one. I can’t for season 3 with our new big bad Lilith, i’m excited to see who they cast for the part. I hope it’s someone who’s been acting for a bit, this role is super important and a newbie would just diminish the importance of the character. Simon and Luke running off to save Maia was awesome. I like that we get to see more of her, in the books she wasnt around too much but she was always a great character. I’m sad we only got to see a little bit of Meliorn in the finale, its always nice to see him. Sarah’s performance as the queen was definitely better than when we first saw her. I think she’s still got room to grow. 

OMG and the core four doing their thing, hunting that flying demon dragon! LOVED IT!! Those four are so freaking attractive it hurts! 

Malec!! I’m so happy these two got over their issues. It makes me happy to see them together, but the amount of sass that these two were throwing at each other was amazing. Harry really gets into it and i think he’s perfect. 

I LOVED the look on Valentine’s face when Raziel was like ‘Thats not heavens wish’, i just laughed. Alan has done such an amazing job as Valentine and i can’t wait to see what he does with his future. He will always be my favourite Valen-slime. Also lets talk about how Clary went nuts and went into crazy Morgentern mode and totally dominated valentines ass then over killed him - like i’m talking slashed through and a knife to the chest about 4 fucking times. She really wanted him dead. 

MY MAIN THING ABOUT THIS EPISODE?? CLACCCCEEE! Fucking finally! But shit is still going to get worse before it gets better. It’s always been like that. My heart literally shattered when Jace was telling Clary that everything was going to be okay, but she didn’t know how and there was nothing he could do to help her but then my beautiful angel kicked up the superpowers and saved his girl. But when Malachi told the circle to proceed (in cutting Clary’s head off) when Jace said NO, i was almost in tears. I hate when people say Kat and Dom don’t have chemistry, Y’all be blind! Then they ran to each other and hugged, i love that he checked her over to make sure she was okay. my heart!!!! But the scene at Lake Lynn fucking destroyed me. It’s my second favourite scene in the entire series and they just fucking nailed it. Everything was perfect and Dom improvising the ‘I love you’ just broke me, i was a goner when Clary was begging him to stay with her. BUT MY FAVOURITE LINES WERE USED!!! “You could have had anything else in the world, and you chose me”-“i don’t want anything else in the world” it was everything i wanted and more. Kat and Dom just did an amazing job and i couldn’t be happier, i love them as Jace and Clary. These two characters have been through so much shit, that they fucking deserve to be happy and i hope that they show some happy scenes between the two before they are torn apart again. 

And Alec during Jace’s death was fucking brutal, Matt did such an amazing job. I literally felt like his world was shattering. His best friend, his partner in crime, his Parabatai was dying and there was nothing he could do. My heart shattered. 

On a some what happy note the party scene was awesome, i never knew how much i wanted to see drunk Luke until i had it. He was amazing! I love that for one split moment everything was okay. Maia and Simon were happy (Even though he now has to deal with the Seelie Queen), Luke was drunk af and great (But then Ollie showed up. Like bitch no.) I loved how Luke tried to hug Jace but Jace wouldn’t hug him because he was a ‘wet/sticky dog’, Alec and Magnus were happy, Izzy was happy, Clary finally found a family that loved her, she was happy and finally let herself love Jace but my baby, poor Jace just came back from the dead and is feeling distant. :( 

BOOK SPOILERS THAT WILL LEAD TO PLOT OF SEASON 3- read on your own free will. 

I’m so excited for season 3, we’ll get Lilith, Team Evil vs Team Good and Jordan. It’s going to be kick ass! I’m really hoping that when Lilith showed up at the end of the episode she didn’t connect Jace and Sebby, right then and there because that scene is super fucking important in the books. You see Jace struggle between not hurting Clary but also following orders and being linked to Sebby. I also hope that we get to see that struggle with Jace, he’s finally happy with Clary but deep down he feels something wrong with him since he came back and he has those nightmares. I’d love to see how they play that out.

Some of you may wonder how I come up with my ideas. This one I feel was a Eureka moment—where everything comes together to finally make sense. But to understand the Edom connection to Lord of Shadows, I’ll have to explain to you step by step how I got there…

I can never stop myself from thinking about Céline Herondale (née Montaclaire)

We know so little of her, and yet those pieces of information shatter my heart. 

As a child she was abused by her own family (Montclaire) which lead to her constantly running away, but with nowhere else to go, she would always come back. She almost became an iron sister just to get away from her family, but then things changed, she found somewhere, or rather someone, to run to.

Céline then joined The Circle, with the intent of finding a place to belong and people to love her, she trusted Valentine with all she had.

At age of 18, she had to marry a man who Valentine forced to leave the wife he loved to be with Céline. Stephen Herondale was not in love with Céline, we know that from letters he wrote himself, the Montclaire lost not only her name but also the chance to be truly loved. She was now a Herondale, and as such, moved to the Herondale Manor with Stephen (her husband) and his parents. 

Still there was hope, she soon was pregnant of Stephen's child, pregnant of the Jace Herondale we know and love. She was going to give birth to someone who would truly love her like she had always dreamed, she would belong with someone and that someone was her son. But that never happened.

When she was 8 months pregnant, Valentine had her husband murdered, and the same faith encountered her. The one person she trusted to change her life to the better plotted her death, and, if that wasn’t enough, the story that was told was that she committed suicide because of her husband’s death. Imagine having everyone think you took your life and, consequently, your son’s? Suicide is not at all accepted by shadowhunters, so she did not even get to be burned like the other Nephilim, instead she was buried at some crossroad in Idris.

Her child was then off her dead body and spent his childhood being raised by the one who plotted hers and her huband’s deaths.

Céline Herondale went through a lot, she deserved so much better and no one even bothers talking about her.
