Stormbringer

[stormbringer spoilers?]

Finished the seventh novel today and I was sobbing aggressively. Chuuya deserved so much better, he had only wanted to know the truth, and the truth alone. He holds so much culpability and suffering. The amount of agony he had went through to avenge his friends alone at the age of 16, made me rethink life decisions. When Dazai had carried Chuuya on his back, I teared up so much. Dazai had taken Chuuya to bid his friends a goodbye. His last goodbye that is.

Asagiri wrote stormbringer in such a detailed yet beautiful way that held so much meaning, I truly love his works.

I felt much pain while reading but at the end of the day I do not regret my decision in reading it. In fact I would be lying for sure if i were to say that I didn't enjoy it. I got to understand Chuuya's character way better and also see him differently, whether that be for better or for worse, I can't say.

Also I love Adam's character dearly.

Soukoku/Double Black

It's sad to think they will never get their happy ending, they are both running out of time. They have both lost so much, and gain so little. The way these two have been described by Asagiri himself is truly beautiful. They are soulmates for sure, whether it be platonic or in a romantic manner, they hold each other dearly. Although they will never admit it themselves or come to their senses, deep down they know that they have each others back.

When they are fighting side by side, words aren't even needed between the two. It is almost as if they can read each others mind in some cases. Their trust for each other is something I envy, especially on Chuuya's side. The trust he has for Dazai is so special, even though Dazai has lied to him many times in the past, Chuuya puts that aside and goes all in with Dazai's words.

It's lovely really.

But as of now time truly is running out for the both of them, I wonder how long they will be able to hold that fake facade they hold so close to themselves. I wonder if they will make it till the end. It would be interesting to see one of them break down, crying, screaming, letting it all out. Something they've had to hold in for so long and bound to let out at one point.

One of my many skk theories

⚠mention of suicide and stormbringer spoilers⚠

I feel that Soukoku will come to an end in a very bittersweet way.

Ending with Dazai finally finding his Partner to commit double suicicde with, that Partner being none other than Nakahara Chuuya. They will both get what they want in the end. They will no longer be burdened by their own will to find a reason to live or wanting to be human. Double Black will be no longer. But it will be for the best.

It would end their suffering for good, would it not? Chuuya reaches for something that he knows he will never get, (being fully human again), he would kill to have that feeling once more. Then there is Dazai. Dazai no longer feels human, something the two of them share. Dazai does in fact search for a reason to live but it is almost as if it's out of reach for him.

I could certainly elaborate on this theory if needed to? You guys are more than welcome to share your thoughts on this if wanted!

I don't exactly ship these two romantically, but I certainly do believe they are soulmates, whether it be in Partners, friends or in a romantic sense! But all in all I do feel very confident that they will die side by side.

(I also wanted to add that all my theories that I will most likely be posting from now on, are all indeed mine. I do not like to copy other peoples. I analyse and take in many details to create my own theories, Thankyou! Bye now.)

I think that if these two were given another chance, they honestly could have been good friends, and understand each other much more better. In another life they could have been much more. I'm sure of it.
