It’s just not “realistic”

Brekkie is a goblin beast master ranger who was invented as an NPC on the spur of the moment when I realized my table of first-time players were probably going to need help finding the goblins’ lair after beating their raiding party, and had Aryll Flynn capture the last surviving goblin (a female spearman, by happenstance of the mini on the table) for interrogation before the players could coup de grace her. Brekkie wound up becoming Aryll’s sidekick, and the two set off on their own adventures off screen from the PC party’s, occasionally crossing paths. The last time they met the pair, Aryll was helping the survivors of Brekkie’s clan build a farm for themselves far from the empire’s borders.
Not super in love with how Waffles’ coloring turned out, but at a certain point, y’just gotta move on. =3=

Aryll Flynn is a lightfoot halfling swashbuckler rogue; one of many PC character concepts that I repurposed as an NPC for a campaign I used to run. My players met Aryll on their first adventure when they were sent to investigate a village that had been attacked by goblin raiders. Aryll had been passing through town by chance when the attack came, and when the players arrived, was defending the last of the villagers holed up in the inn. I had put her there just to keep some of the goblins busy, but she wound up having to leave the inn and essentially put the party on her back and carry them to victory when the fact that every player at that table was brand new to tabletop gaming really exerted itself. From then on, Aryll Flynn the halfling remained a memetic badass among those players until the campaign ended.
I’ve recently started writing slice of life shorts about Aryll and her goblin girlfriend, Brekkie, which you can read on tumblr or Ao3.

Zah the Tree-Eater
My character from a recently-completed Curse of Strahd campaign, Zah was a female troll who consumed the remains of a dryad slain by Strahd, and became a troll freak, adopting some of the dryad’s powers and appearance. In this case, she also adopted the dryad’s spirit as a voice in her head.
Zah was a Blade-Pact Warlock of the Archfey (the dryad she consumed being her patron) using a troll player character homebrew of my own creation. Over the course of the campaign, Zah became one of the party’s most prominent frontline fighters. The dryad magic she acquired by eating one caused goodberries to grow in her hair. She acquired a cursed arm that gave her advantage on strength checks and the ability to produce flame after chopping it off of a town guard and replacing her own with it. Her signature weapon was a Sun Sword which, during the process of being bound as her pact weapon, transformed into a Sun Maul.
She was dumb as a post, and completely open to suggestion, such as the idea that a wedding dress made for someone not 8 feet tall would look fantastic on her. She once opened a door so hard it killed a man (it’s okay, he was a vampire cultist). She talked a hoard of town guards into surrendering on the basis that they would probably win a fight with the party, but which ones of them really wanted to be the ones to die in the process? She had a habit of routinely eating party members after they died, as a sign of respect... and also to temporarily mutate some of their racial abilities.
I hope that I will one day have as much fun playing a character again as I had with Zah, but it’s going to be a tall order.

Sir Tigra, former Knight of Frael, and commander of the mercenary company made up of the player characters in my forum-based tactical RPG, Fire Emblem Tropera. This damn thing took me weeks, I’m so out of practice, but I’m just thrilled with her. <3

Antagonist from an online RPG I’m running right now, based on Fire Emblem.
Lieutenant Corban Greham is an officer of the Rangers, Imperial Vissan’s elite light infantry corps. My players have just encountered him for the first time as he pursues Prince Addelus of Frael into the mountains following Vissan’s invasion.

Current D&D character, Lira Lorali, forest gnome eldritch knight, and templar of the Daughters of Titania. The Daughters are a sect of fey-descended mortal women, mostly wood elves and forest gnomes, who worship the fairy queen in the belief that if they die in her service they will be reborn to dwell forever in the Feywilds as full-blooded fey. So... basically Valhalla, with more unicorns and you don’t walk on the rainbows.

Getting back in practice now that I’ve finally got a new tablet. Very pleased with Sunset, not such much with the flowers. :P

Scorpio: no human has ever seen a Scorpio mermaid, they remain deep beneath the sea where few have ever reached, where no light touches, reclusive and secretive, their scales are as dark as the night but their skin is patterned with intricate swirls which emit a hazy, purple glow just as their eyes do, their tails are as lithe as an eel and finned in a similar manner
