hiya! in regards to wolvden, is there anything in particular we should be doing to prepare for winter? i'm seeing that around a lot with no elaboration and it's worrying me

Wolvden winter is a mechanic in the game, for sure, but it’s not a HUGE mechanic. What you’ll see is hunts failing more often so make sure you have a stable food source for your pack over the cold winter months.

Also since herbalism has now been introduced and illnesses will activate for most players tomorrow (if you started later, illnesses are active after your 5th RO. You can safely lick the toad before that lol)..

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GET A QUARANTINE DEN. Immediately, if you don’t have one. Get it. You need it, you will 100% need it. UNSORTED IS NOT A DEN. IT DOES NOT QUARANTINE WOLVES. You will suffer a terrible fate if you leave your sick wolf in unsorted.

Winter brings one of the most notorious illnesses to Wolvden- influenza. It spreads like wildfire. Literally. If one of your wolves gets it and isn’t properly quarantine, next RO multiple wolves will have it. And once your pack is overridden with influenza, all you can really do is wait for the inevitable unless you’ve prepared with your herbalist. The influenza cure is one of the most rare cures on site due to the herbs it uses being mostly found in the southern area of the map. You need to trade for herbs with Herbie or on the TC to make sure you have at least 1 use of it. Because trust me, you do not want influenza in your den. Once it crops up you need to heal it immediately or quarantine it immediately.

DON’T MASS BREED IN WINTER. Pups are more likely to get ill and die of illness, they get in all sorts of trouble. Breeding is fine if you have the pupsitters to handle it but I wouldn’t largely expand the size of your pack during winter. Wait until spring to do your mass merle breedings, you’ll be in issues if a pup gets influenza and then it’s mom gets influenza. I’d say don’t mass breed in general, your pack definitely isn’t strong enough at 4 days in to handle so many pretty pups without them getting killed.

But, really, if you followed the tutorials at the start of the game (aka you actually read them) you don’t have issues. Bury some bigger food and make sure your herbalist has a large scale of medicine to use. Winter will pass and spring will be good for us all. It’s painted as this super spooky scary thing but if you play with your head on your shoulders you’ll be fine.

As a tip, save up on acorns and explore in the Prairie! It has a helpful encounter for food. Utilize the Grouse House guides in the Chatter (found in usermade guides).

This is very helpful and I agree with what they are saying. It is much easier to prioritize your favorite pups. If you want them to have the best chance I recommend not putting more than 2-4 pups per Pupsitter until she/he gains more proficiency. The more proficiency your pupsitter has the better she/he can protect your pups.

Remember, your pups aren’t 100% guaranteed to survive UNLESS their survival bar is completely full.

FEED AND PLAY WITH MOMS.

INVEST IN MULTIPLE PUPSITTERS.

PRIORITIZE PUPS YOU LOVE THE MOST.

Hello everyone as you can tell by the above I plan to stream Wolvden.

What do you mean?

I have bought Early Access to Wolven, and now I plan to stream my play through. I have gotten permission via email to stream the game during EA as well as post here about the stream.

Here I will have my first ever Talking Stream(At least that's the plan). I will talk and discuss Wolven as well as answer any questions you may have about the game and how it plays. I am a Beta tester so if you have questions about beta, I can answer them, but only starting on the 25th. I can not speak about beta till EA is live.

I recommend if you have any questions for me to write them down prior to the stream. That or you can ask them Here. Just note any WD questions will not be answered till the 25th when the game goes live for EA, be it in Stream or Here.

I suggest that you make a account for Twitch so you may talk to me through messages. I am figuring everything out so maybe this will not be nessasry though. I will update as I go.

How can I get Early Access?

Sales are now listed on the wolvden page. You can buy EA from the link below.

The option for buying will be avaible till the 23rd. Please note only Moon Moon is left. This is still EA but you will get a random ID when signing up and you will get no bonus GC.

If you do buy or already have EA, Wolvden will be having a Gold Cone(GC) sale this will be the premium currency at a USD discount for the 2 weeks of EA only! So if interested in some cheaper GC check it out getting EA.

The actual time for playing the game (for EA) will be on the 25th. If you can't or do not want to buy a account then the Public release will be October 9th. EA is not necessary at all, it is only for those wanting to try and get a lower ID and for those wanting a head start in gameplay.

You are free to follow me, or you can just save the link and pop in when I go live as I may have other streams before hand. I will be posting a message here when I go live.

The Stream time is not yet desided but it will take place on 9-25-20. This is the first day of EA so those who join will see the game play from the very begining.

There will be a 15-30+ minute window for people to join the stream as not to miss anything. I will be talking causally and introducing myself as well as talk about random things while we all wait or people to tune in ^^ I will take some questions down during this wait time to answer once we start throughout the stream.

What will this stream have exactly?

I can't say exactly due to spoilers, but I will be streaming from day 1 during the first log in. This will be before I do anything and I will be on the wolf creation screen.

So you will get a first look at all WD content from the start! This stream will include all of the different features currently in WD avaible on Day 1.

What if I miss the stream, or parts of the stream?

I will try and record the stream to post to YouTube if I can, but if you do miss the stream it will at least be avaible for 14 days on my Twitch account page ^^ so you can view what you miss there. If the recording works I will be linking the video below here sometime after it is uploaded.

I have questions now. What can I do?

Well while I can't answer anything to specific on the game really, you are free to ask me questions mainly pertaining to the stream(if you want me to answer before the 25th). Though you can create a ask here and I will answer here and possibly via Stream if the question is about Wolvden EA/Beta Content.

I will make a FAQ based on questions I get, just note I will live answer any questions you may have as well. If I find it is better to talk live about your question, I will add it to a list that I will discuss while streaming.
