Mission Silent Elk: Chapter 3
A Yuri centric story
Synopsis:
As Ostania is on the verge of facing its biggest possible crisis, the Secret Police appoints Yuri to investigate a very promising lead who is in close proximity to all the higher government officials including Donovan Desmond. His mission is to find out whether the opposition leader is in fact influencing the current government and to figure out if the central government is anything else other than a fraud.
Chapter summary:
As Twilight negotiates with Handler, A party at full swing happens in the other side of town.
Tumblr media
It had been two days since both Yuri and Twilight made significant progress on their respective missions. Tonight was the night of the graduation party, after which the final-year students, including Andrea Walters, would move out of their dorms.
Yuri had continued to spy on Ms. Walters during the last two days, but there had been no major developments. Her condition, however, seemed to worsen—her dark eye bags and hollowed cheeks showed she hadn’t been eating properly. Whatever was on her mind, it was weighing on her heavily.
While Yuri observed from a distance, Westalis’s top spy, Twilight, contemplated his next move.
********************
“If Ms. Walters has been discovered, we’re all in trouble,” Handler said, her voice calm but clearly concerned.
“How did you figure that out?” she asked.
“Yuri Briar, a member of the secret police, was sent to spy on her. He was at Eden Academy. If they’re that desperate, they must be sure of something.”
Handler considered making a comment about Yuri Briar being his wife’s brother but decided against it. Twilight was always defensive when it came to his family.
“Have the secret police found the operative in contact with Ms. Walters?” she asked, always concerned for her team.
“Not yet,” Twilight replied.
“Well, she’s always been a high-risk, high-reward source of intel. It’s only because of her that we know…” Handler trailed off, not wanting to state the obvious. “I don’t know how we can stop this. If we try, we’ll only fuel their suspicions. The agent in contact with her will be pulled from Berlint soon, but…”
She hesitated—a rare sight, and one that made Twilight uncomfortable.
“Is something wrong?” Twilight’s voice softened, no longer that of a spy but of a concerned friend.
Handler put her head in her hands, whispering, “Ms. Walters… she knows.”
“Knows what?” Twilight’s voice tensed.
“About Operation Strix,” Handler whispered, guilt weighing on her words.
“WHAT? Why would you even do that?” Twilight’s anger flared, barely kept in check.
“To build trust, Twilight. Why do you think she works with us? We promised her protection. She needed to know if we had more agents stationed at Eden—if we could save her, if it came to that.”
Though she sounded apologetic, the damage was done.
“Why would you do that? You’ve put the whole operation at risk! You’ve put my family at risk—Yor and Anya!”
The emotion in Twilight’s voice surprised them both. He stormed out of the room, unwilling to explain his outburst. Not when Handler had made such a dangerous mistake.
That night, Twilight should have been at Eden, monitoring the graduation party. Instead, he went home, surprising Yor and Anya with a spontaneous trip. They were thrilled, excited to visit Frigis again.
Twilight knew what he was doing. He should prioritize his mission, but he couldn’t. He decided he would leave Yor and Anya in Frigis for a few days and return to Berlint. If he were compromised, at least his family wouldn’t be imprisoned—or worse, tortured. He could send a message to Yor, perhaps a letter, explaining everything. Yor and Anya might hate him, but at least they would be safe.
Yor would understand. She had to, right?
As his wife and daughter slept after packing for the trip, Twilight sat down to write the letter he hoped he would never have to send.
On the other side of town, the graduation party was in full swing.
**************
Yuri hid behind a bush in the exotic garden, different from his usual spot. Tonight, he was watching the party hall instead of the lunch area. Thirty minutes had passed since the party started, and it was in full motion. And yet, there was no sign of Ms Walters. Yuri wondered if she would even make an appearance.
After another thirty minutes, she finally arrived—fashionably late, of course.
She looked breathtaking. Her red satin gown flowed to the floor, hugging her figure perfectly, while her matching stilettos added an extra touch of elegance. Her hair, usually pinned up, cascaded in soft curls, giving her a fresh and striking look. She wasn’t just stunning—she was mesmerizing. It wasn’t only Yuri who noticed her; the entire room turned in her direction. People gravitated toward her like moths to a flame.
She appeared uncomfortable with the attention—her body language made that clear. Yet, she composed herself, flashing a big smile and engaging in small talk with everyone who approached her. As the hours passed and the party continued, many guests found their way to the dance floor. Most of them were couples, eager to flaunt their partners now that the term had ended and there were no more rules to follow.
A surprising number of people asked Ms. Walters to dance—far too many for Yuri’s liking. She was undeniably a beautiful woman, but Yuri suspected most of the attention came from her social status rather than her looks. After all, she wasn’t just any student—she was the President’s daughter, arguably the most important figure at this prestigious school.
From time to time, Ms. Walters slipped away to a window or balcony, enjoying a cigarette, a glass of wine, or occasionally a whiskey. It was in these quiet moments that Yuri noticed the same worried expression she had carried over the past few days. Other than that, she seemed to enjoy the attention, smiling and chatting with ease. She was quite the actress, and was successfully able to hide her true feelings. Yuri thought to himself.
Several more hours had passed, and most of the guests had taken their leave. Only a few stragglers remained, including Andrea Walters.
“Ugh, I told my driver to pick me up at 11, but he’s nowhere to be found!” one of the remaining girls complained. “These peasants disgust me. They can’t even do a simple job right, yet they have the nerve to complain when they’re out of work.”
Yuri mentally scoffed at her. She reeks of a superiority complex, he thought.
“What about you, Andrea?” The girl’s sudden question seemed to catch Andrea off guard, but she quickly composed herself and answered carefully.
“Oh, I mistakenly told my driver to come at midnight,” Andrea replied.
“My driver just arrived. If you like, Andrea, we can drop you off at the presidential estate. My father’s always wanted to help the president in any way he could,” one of the boys standing nearby chimed in, clearly attempting to associate himself with her.
Andrea saw through the hollow gesture. “Thank you, but I’d rather wait for my driver,” she said politely but firmly.
Defeated, the boy went to his car.
As more time passed, the crowd thinned even further until Andrea was the last one remaining. It was now half past midnight. Yuri’s attention spiked as he noticed the professor Andrea had spoken with a few days ago approaching her.
“Your car has been here since 11, Andrea,” the professor said apologetically. “You really should go home.”
Andrea stopped and gave him her full attention. They walked together to retrieve her bag from the baggage counter. She slipped into a long overcoat, which completely concealed her elegant dress, and began braiding her hair.
“I’ve decided to take matters into my own hands, Professor,” Andrea said quietly. “You were right—I shouldn’t endanger anyone else.”
“Oh? Is that so?” the professor replied, sounding almost amused.
“Yes,” Andrea responded, offering no further explanation. She then made her way to the dorms and retrieved two heavy bags. Without another word, she walked out of Eden, deliberately avoiding the car that had come to pick her up by exiting through the second gate.
Yuri, watching from the shadows, decided to follow her at a safe distance.

Making a plan on how he should spy on Ms. Andrea Walters was one thing, but Yuri surely had not realised how difficult this would turn out to be. During the whole week which led to the graduation party, Ms. Walters had not once stepped outside the gates of Eden Academy.
Yuri had received certain intel about his target that, her being a very high profile person, she had special access and could enter and leave the premises as she wished even though she lived in the dorms at Eden. And yet, she had not gone outside of Eden for a whole week. For four days, Yuri would be near the gates of Eden, hoping to see Ms Walters. Sometimes he would be at the nearby coffee shop, or else trying to find a book to purchase in the nearby book shop. If he wasn't doing any of those, he would stand in a dark corner of the alleyway just hoping to get a glimpse of her.
And yet, for 4 days, he didn't see her even once. It seemed as if he would never be able to see her after all.
This made him make a very brave and risky choice which he usually wouldn't do. He decided to sneak into Eden to spy on her. It was a desperate move.
Sneaking into Eden was a difficult task, not a lot of people could just simply climb over the 9 feet wall. But what was even more difficult was staying still in the same place for 6 to 10 hrs. Yuri hid behind a bush in the exotic plants garden which gave him a pretty decent view of the lunch area and he hoped to see her at least once.
And finally he did. During lunch time, when all the final year students came in this big group, he saw his target. And she seemed to look different from her picture.
She looked.... tired. Her eyes, which had seemed to perceive everything, looked tired and she had eyebags as if she hadn't slept properly for days. Her walk and posture were both lethargic as if she was using the last bit of her strength to do every mundane task. She tried to appear engaged with her peers, but her mind was elsewhere. She forced a smile as they were chatting, her eyes drifting absently. Her fingers play with the edge of her napkin, and she occasionally nodded at the right moments, though it seemed clear to Yuri that her thoughts were preoccupied. It seemed as if she was deeply worried about something. Even though she herself was not an imperial scholar, it seemed that most of the people who surrounded her were. Usually imperial scholars sit in their own lunch area.
"Maybe they're just sucking up to her." Yuri thought to himself and a part of him felt sorry for the girl as it seemed that she had no real friends.
After lunch time was over, the group decided and went back to their classes. Yuri knew he would most probably not see Ms. Walters again so he thought it would be a great time to get going.
But just then, Miss Walters diverted from her group and went to talk to one of the teachers present, her expression showed even more worry than before. As they both talked, Yuri took it upon himself to understand what they were talking about by reading their lips.
********
"Good afternoon sir", Andrea said to her teacher to start a conversation. He looked as if he was in his late fifties, he had a beard and glasses which showed the same. He seemed like a kind person.
"Hello", the professor replied nonchalantly as he started walking towards a 'faculty only' area. It was clear by his gestures that he did not want to be a part of this conversation.
"Sir I once again wanted to ask you if-"
"MISS WALTERS," the professor said in a rather loud and rude tone, with a lot of irritation. It was clear this wasn't the first time she had tried to approach this particular subject.
"Please", she paused and took a deep breath.
" I CANNOT go back to that house. Please arrange an apartment for me to live in after I graduate. You would be paid well enough."
The professor replied, "He controls this entire school AND this country Andrea. Trust me, if he knew I was the one who helped you get away from that place, me and everyone I love would be killed."
"But sir-"
"You are very selfish indeed." This time his tone was calm and polite, suiting that of a professor of an esteemed school which he was. "I can't. I want to, but I love my family and hence I can't. Goodbye Miss Walters. "
And with that, the professor left and Andrea was standing there on her own. She stood there and stayed still. It was as if she was about to start crying. But she quickly took a deep breath and within a minute, her face was back to the nonchalant expression she previously had. With that, she went away to join her group.
*******
Now that lunch time is over, Yuri was sure that he won't be able to see Andrea anytime soon today. Not until he stayed in the place where he had been hiding for the last 6 hrs. And roaming around in this school is risky indeed with all the security lurking around. So he decided to go back to his office and report everything he has seen. The information was not much, but it seemed to indicate that the information they had received could possibly be true. After all, it is too early to confirm.
Yuri once again climbed over the wall of Eden and was now on his way to his office. But it seemed that he had missed something, or someone.
After all, that person is said to be the best spy of Westalis.
Twilight was sitting on a roof of one of the buildings of the school to personally keep a check on Operation Strix's progress and to keep an eye on his daughter. That was when he saw Yuri trying to exit the school without getting seen. He even had binoculars hanging on his neck. Twilight was sure no one else had seen Yuri and that was even more terrifying. Just then, he saw Andrea Walters going back to join her group of classmates.
He now had extremely important intel that has to given to headquarters as soon as possible. That evening, he went to his base to meet Handler. They never met on such short notices but it was urgent. Skipping the usual pleasantries, Twilight said:
"Our mole Ms. Walters had been identified by the Secret Police."

Mission Silent Elk: Chapter 1
Yuri Briar x reader
Synopsis
As Ostania is on the verge of facing its biggest possible crisis, the Secret Police appoints Yuri to investigate a very promising lead who is in close proximity to all the higher government officials including Donovan Desmond. His mission is to find out whether the opposition leader is in fact influencing the current government and to figure out if the central government is anything else other than a fraud.
Word count: 4771
Tumblr media
Yuri Briar, age 20, is liked by many but is hated too, but mostly, feared. People did not fear HIM, though. They feared the uniform her wore and what it represented. They feared what that uniform was capable of doing to them. So whenever he used to go make any arrests, people would look at him, sometimes even stare. But mostly, they'd fear him.
It's 9:00 in the morning and Yuri is in his office, always on time and never even a minute late. All things considered, he's a great employee, not taking many leaves unless he's sick but mostly his best quality would be how seriously he takes his job. At least that is what his boss, the Captain told the higher ups upon deciding that Yuri would be given a VERY special mission.
Mission Silent Elk
These animals were very interesting to the Caption apparently, so much that he decided to name the mission on them. They will try to avoid contact with threats at all costs, but when properly provoked, they WILL gore whatever is attacking them to death with their antlers and stomp them with their feet.
And that explained Yuri's mission perfectly.
His target? She was someone related to the most high profile person in Ostania. The president himself. His daughter, Andrea Walter, age 19, is just about to pass out of Eden College. What makes her interesting is that she seems to have no contact with her father whatsoever. She doesn't live in the presidential house even during holidays and has apparently not made a public appearance with her father since 2 years, basically a year after he was elected.
But the most interesting piece of intel about her is that she is under suspicion of being a spy working under WISE.
The rumour does not put any question on her lineage whatsoever, because she indeed IS her father's sole heir. Their remarkably matching features are solid proof. Her brown eyes, her brown hair, and her medium tone matched exactly with her father's features. She looked very simple, nothing in her made her stand out in a crowd. And yet, she did.
Some of her peers said that she has a gaze which can see right through a person, while the others blame her higher social standing. She was very lean, with curves in all the right places. Some people even put that as the reason why she stood out.
Now why she was under suspicion of being a spy was clear as day. A piece of information had been revealed to WISE, something only a couple of people could know, and Ms. Walter was one of them.
The information was about the President and the leader of the opposition party, Mr. Donovan Desmond.
After the assassination of the First Lady, Mrs. Sarah Walters 2 years ago, it is said that Mr Desmond lives with the president. As if the real person controlling everything is still Donovan and the President is just the figurative head. The report also talked about the sudden change in the President's mannerisms, as if blaming Donovan for "influencing" him in a wrong way. It could be said that it was because of the very public assassination of his wife, but for it all to continue for 2 years very much indicated that he is indeed being manipulated. A case or a scandal that big could cause the whole country to collapse. So the media was very selectively not showing any news or footage which indicated this. Even the assassination of Mrs. Walters was passed off as a " sudden heart attack". But the people who were in the meeting where the "event" happened had spread the word and a few officials knew the truth.
Now, WISE had been given a report this controversial about Donovan about a year ago. This, among the various other reasons, forced them to commence Operation Strix with their best agent, Twilight.
"So Captain, what do you want me to do?", Yuri asked after reading the report on Andrea Walter, his voice had an obvious strain, as if not being able to believe that a fraud as big as this could even be done.
The Captain finished his smoke and gave Yuri a look. He answered, " She's going to graduate Eden in a week. That means she won't be staying in her student's lodging anymore. That will make it easier for us to spy on her. We can even find out where she stays during her holidays." The Captain paused, and pulled out a picture of her from the table's drawer and added, " A week from now they will have a graduation party after which the students shall be moving out. Now, Yuri, you need to observe her from afar. After all, it is nothing but just suspicions of being a spy. But her high status makes this rather controversial." He smoked another cigarette. While putting it out in the ash tray, he continued, " You need to observe her closely. If a situation arises that you need to make contact with her, don't hesitate. Because of your young age she most probably won't suspect you of being one of us".
As the chief concluded, Yuri felt a knot forming in his stomach. But he decided to continue rereading the report, he finally took a look at her picture the Captain had pulled up. She looked exactly as she had been described. She looked alert and intuitive. That just made Yuri suspect her even more.
He considered everything and made a lot of calculations in his mind; about the mission, about Andrea, and said, " I'll put Andrea under my surveillance for the next seven days and I'll try to make some contact during her graduation party at Eden. That would be my best shot."
"As expected from you Yuri, that's a very prudential approach." The Captain replied instantly. Yuri replied with an ingenuine smile and saluted him before leaving the room. Going back to his office along with the report and mission details, he was determined that he would find the truth regarding the matter.
He left out a sigh thinking about how draining this particular mission could be. But he knew one thing for sure, that his work was just getting started.

Blue Lock characters as Taylor Swift songs + explanation
Notes: Hi guys, so this was another random idea I so...here I am, I guess? But yea do tell me if you guys disagree with any of the song choices here lmao. Would love to hear from you guys
Tumblr media
ISAGI YOICHI
Tumblr media
"I laid the groundwork and then, just like clockwork
The dominoes cascaded in a line
What if I told you I'm a mastermind?"
And
"If you fail to plan, you plan to fail
Strategy sets the scene for the tale"
And
"Of a chain reaction of countermoves
To assess the equation of you
Checkmate, I couldn't lose."
My boy Isagi came into the Blue Lock system as the second last player and crept his way to the top. He's literally the mastermind pulling the pieces together and winning matches. It's really amazing how he had no ability tha made him stand out much except his brain and that was enough for him.
So yea this is HIS song.
BACHIRA MEGURU
Tumblr media
"I never miss a beat
I'm lightnin' on my feet"
And
"I'm dancin' on my own (dancin' on my own)
I make the moves up as I go (moves up as I go)
But I keep cruisin'
Can't stop, won't stop groovin'
It's like I got this music in my mind
Sayin' it's gonna be alright"
The song 100% represents Bachira' childish, carefree and happy-to-go personality and some of the lyrics (which I put above) totally show his abilities like cmon. 😭
Okay so the first two lines are like about his dribbling ability, right? And even in the next para the top lines are like how he's not following a rhythm and is doing whatever he wants to and THAT IS SOMETHING HE DOES IN THE NEL. (Sorry got too excited)
And the last two lines are about the "monster" he had, which existed in his mind. It was very relevant in the first selection.
NAGI SEISHIRO
Tumblr media
"And I'm just getting color back into my face
I'm just mad as hell cause I loved this place
For so long, London
Had a good run
A moment of warm sun"
This is VERY specific but I do think this fits really well during the second selection when Nagi chooses to go with Isagi and leaves Reo. Nagi actually stops being the lazy-genius he had been until episode 10 of the anime which has the match between Team V and Team Z where has an awakening (hence the "getting color back into his face" lyric) and he is gaining a passion for football which he never thought someone like him could even have. In Episode Nagi, even Reo acknowledges that the one who made Nagi put in actual efforts in a football match (which he had never done before) was Isagi and not him. Isagi was the reason of Nagi's awakening. And Reo was so sad that he was not the reason.
And right after his awakening, he decides to leave Reo because now he actually wants to improve and has a goal: To beat Isagi. And for that he has to leave Reo. So...yeah.
ITOSHI RIN
Tumblr media
"And you call me up again just to break me like a promise
So casually cruel in the name of being honest"
And
"Time won't fly, it's like I'm paralyzed by it
I'd like to be my old self again
But I'm still trying to find it"
And
"You kept me like a secret, but I kept you like an oath"
Okay again this one is also very specific just like Nagi's but i think this song completely represents Rin's relationship with his brother, Sae. Beating Sae is the only reason we have been given for whatever he does.
When we first see Rin at the start of the second selection, one of the first things he says is how he has to beat his brother and that's basically the bane of his existence.
And in between the confrontation between the brothers when Sae comes home from Spain and thenU20 VS Blue Lock Eleven match; a year has passed and Rin's feeling fir his brother is EXACTLY the same. (Hence the second para)
Also we can notice this during the Itoshi brothers' flashback, Sae had always been the way he is at this point since childhood. But Rin was different, he was a happy and naive kid. But that's gone now. Also how after the U20 VS the Blue Lock Eleven match when Sae comes to Rin, and Rin (and us, the audience) think that Sae is going to praise Rin who had just been in his berserk mode before; the expression change on Rin's face is so evident and heartbreaking. His expression is almost the same one he had when he was a little kid. So yeah, its very heartbreaking when Sae praises Isagi and not him when Rin has been craving for his validation for a longggg time.
Notes part 2: This took me a lot of time to wrote so please don't let this flop 😭🤞

ITOSHI RIN HEADCANNONS + accidently meeting someone he knows when he's with you
I just made this silly drabble because I just got the idea of this scenario and I couldn't help but write it down. I hope you like reading it!
Tumblr media
Itoshi Rin would be such a cute boyfriend. After getting comfortable with you, he'd truly start confiding in you. He'd come home and talk about his day, bitch about the other players and tell you about everything IN DETAIL. You'd also be his best friend and his person.
But sometimes he'd act so silly, like his brain's circuits got fried.
That happened when you both bumped into Bachira in a supermarket.
(You and Rin are shopping in a supermarket for house supplies.)
(Bachira spots Rin and calls his name out.)
Bachira: RIN!!! Hello!?
(Rin tries to make a run for it but he catches you guys pretty quickly)
Bachira: Why did you avoid me? (Pouts) We've spent enough time to NOT ignore each other in a public place. Don't you think?
Rin: I'm sorry. What's up Meguru?
(Bachira sees you next to Rin and goes)
Bachira: Who's this?
(Rin's ears are red and there's a slight blush on his cheeks)
Rin: Well, you see.....this person....uhm I meant, this woman....we'll she's my....
Bachira: Your what?
Rin: she's my ....uhm...she's my mother you see.
(By now Rin's whole face is red. Bachira doesn't seem to notice any of this.)
Bachira: Oh! She looks so young. Excellent genes I'd say. Anyways I'm late so I got to go! See you later!
It doesn't take a detective to figure out that you're pissed at Rin.
Y/N: Your mother, really?? Oh my god.
Rin slept on the couch that night.

STARFIRE: Origins
Tumblr media
Summary:This story tells the tale of how Starfire, the princess and the rightful heir of Tamaran; finds herself on Earth after the various struggles in her life. But this time with a certain someone, she intends to stay.
Notes:This is something I've wanted to write for a LONG time. It is very much similar to Starfire's actual origin story from the comics. (I have made a few changes to make the story more influential to the character)
Tamaran had once been a beautiful planet. It had everything; beauty, minerals and of course; a civilization so advanced that they were considered to be just a fairytale.
But alas, everything was never the same for them. Before the Great War, Tamaran was a beautiful planet, full of greenery and water. But the bombs ruined the planet to such extent and the ecosystem never recovered. The oceans dried up and all that was left was a desert. The population reduced to 10% of its initial and was primarily made up of old citizens and children, the young men and women had died in the Great War.
Before the War, Tamaran was a peaceful planet. It had a source of clean energy, land which gave them various amounts of food, and water. But nothing was the same after the War.
The Great War started 2000 years ago, when the Kryptonians felt threatened by the power that the Tamaraneans had. If only they had started making war machines, they would have surpassed and taken over Krypton in an instant. That was the reason the great houses of Krypton decided to finish the war before it even began. They dropped so many bombs that the Tamaranean species barely survived.
The next 10 years were even worse. People roamed around like rats for food, killing each other for a small piece of bread.
But then, as if the Gods had themselves interfered; the Tamaraneans found an idea of survival. The main issue was that they just didn't have enough people left to get help for survival. The children grew into teenagers and it was only with the guidance of the few elderly people still alive that they had survived. If the population was to increase naturally, it would take thousands of years. But they found one more planet which had intelligent life quite similar to them and Kryptonians.
Tamaraneans could not abduct people from Krypton, so the discovery of such a planet was nothing less than a miracle. It was Earth.
They brought millions of people and the population was half of its initial value in 1-2 thousand years. By this time, a royal family had taken charge and everything was well. Tamaran was adamant it would never make the same mistake again. It had the most superior war machines in the galaxy. Other planets, out of the fear of being annihilated, used to send millions of quintals of produce. Water was hard to come by, but once they had started to extract it from space, their life had become heaven.
The royal family had forced civilians to be polygamous so as the population would not decline. The citizens had abided beautifully. How could they miss something they never knew?
Kroton had met it's doom itself. No one had to do anything. Tamaraneans were glad they did not had to get their hands dirty.
But the rest of the universe, though in terror of Tamaran, could not respect it. They called them 'troy', as even with all these riches they had now, they were not a true species.
Tamaran was flourishing. The royal family had turned out to be great leaders. With the newfound great environment and diet, few of the Tamaraneans once again found their ability to fly. They were called 'High-borns'. In the royal family, of course everyone had the ability to fly.
The Council of The Lord guided the civilians in everything they could. The King was the true ruler, and yet the council had 'suggested' many of his decisions. But now they all faced a dilemma.
There were two princesses in the royal family. Komand'r was given the royal name Blackfire. She was the elder child, destined for the throne.
Her younger sister; Koriand'r, was given the royal name Starfire.
The sisters were true friends. They spent their days together training for wars which may come at any instant. Komand'r was older than Kori by at least 10 years. And yet a secret about her was kept only in the walls of the royal castle: she could not fly!
When 5 year old Kori could fly just as good as she could walk, the king and the queen got scared for their oldest child. They were a good couple. Even though they had an enormous responsibility on their shoulders, they tried the best they could to live their daughters as much as they could. They pitied Komand'r, she was a great warrior, and yet it was not enough. Kori had been born as a spare and would live as so. She had no burden on herself and yet she practiced with her sister as if they both would get the throne.
The Council of The Lord had decided. Komand'r would not get the throne. Lord had given a sign to them that she was not meant for it. They had a vision and were told a prophecy. She would burn down everyone. Scared of this sign, they decided to announce Koriand'r, the true heir of Tamaran. The King and Queen could not interfere. They were told that if they interfered with the Lord's will they would perish. And yet, they did. They loved Komand'r. They had begged the Council to at least keep this news private so that they could come to terms with it. They soon decided they would not let her birthright get taken away from her. For 2 years, they planned the downfall of the Council. So that their planet could be just theirs to rule.
On the other side of the castle, unknown of the sacrifices the king and queen we're making for her, Komand'r grew with hate. She resented EVERYONE. And while the parents plotted the downfall of the Council, she plotted theirs.
It took 2 years, but finally the Council was no more. Overjoyed with their achievement, a private feast just for the four of them was prepared, they would re-announce the heir to be Komand'r in six month's time so that the news would not seem suspicious.
Komand'r by this time was full of poison. And she put a bit of it in her parents' wine. The King and Queen died suffering. They did not even know who got to them, perhaps it was better.
Tamaran went in a spiral. Never had a member, let two members; of the royal family be brutally murdered! Komand'r had a plan for everything. After all she had schemed for this for two whole years.
The throne room was full of confused chatter. The trumpets blew announcing the arrival of the new queen, Blackfire. She had a cape which was as beautiful as the sea they used to have. The assembly started. After all the High-borns had paid their respects to the deceased rulers, everyone looked at Blackfire, wondering what her plan of action was.
She stood up from the throne and everyone geld their breaths. In a commanding and cold voice she said, "The most unfortunate of days has come to us, not only have the previous rulers been murdered; it was done by someone we all trusted so much. The one who is guilty of this crime is Koriand'r, my sister. Guards, bring her to us all."
Kori was just a kid, she was seven. She was heartbroken over her parents death. She was in her chamber, crying. As quick as the wind, the guard came into her room and grabbed the kid as hard as they could. The poor thing could not understand anything. When she was brought in front of Blackfire and was told of her crimes, she could not believe her ears.
"I would never do anything to harm my mama and papa!! "
"And yet, you did sister. Greed is a curse. Everyone, even my wine was poisoned by this witch! "
The crowd collectively gasped. It was all so unbelievable, to find out that the royal family, the personification of care and power; was so enclosed in darkness.
The Council was gone. The King and Queen had been killed. The heir to the planet was the killer. The only person who could ascend the throne during this madness was only Komand'r. But now she is more widely known as Blackfire, the ruler of Tamaran. She was a skilled warrior and a great military leader. She believed true leaders fight with their armies in battle and if it is so, they die alongside them. That was what she knew and was sure of when the news came that the people of Karna had a huge war ongoing on their planet.
The Gordonians, who hail from the planet Karna, were infamous raiders and slavers. Their allies, The Warloads of Akaara and the Citadel made them untouchable. They were one of Tamaran's true enemies alongside the Kryptonians. But unlike the people of Krpton, the Gordonians were always trying to sneak in and destroy Tamaran to the present day.
Blackfire was smart. She knew how to run an empire in her name. She knew that the moment her plan to take the throne succeeded. And now, she could kill two birds with one stone! Giving Kori as a gift to the Gordonians would stop their frequent but weak attacks; and would put them on good terms. The Gordonians were weak enough because of the ongoing war on their planet and were not in a position to refuse. This would make her known as an excellent strategist, a noble queen who prevents bloodshed.
And then suddenly a thought came into her mind, not something prudential, but emotional. She knew that she was in a position where emotions would kill her in an instant. One slip up and this house of cards would fall down. But she was worried for her sister. She was innocent after all, wasn't she? But she put it all away in an instant. Her rule, her glory, her life, was far more important.
Considering all her options, she announced in the assembly, in a way so powerful and untouchable no one could ever object.
"My wretched sister, you will be given to the Gordonians as a peace gift. Whatever they do to you, we will not be concerned. You have been disinherited from the royal family right this instant."
The possibilities ran in everybody's mind except Kori's, she had no idea what was even being said.
On Karna, they could kill her in an instant, or worse, make her a slave and dishonour her in ways unimaginable to show their hate to the Tamaraneans. She could be made a sex slave, or a foot soldier who would die within 2 mins in battle. The possibilities of how Kori could die were endless. The punishment was cruel. Perhaps the cruelest ever given. And yet, no one dared object.
Koriand'r was sent to Karna. Now she was the Gordonians' mercy. And they were never merciful.
Trogaar was the ruler of Karna, and the reason of the ongoing war on their planet was simple. Most of the slaves they had captured had broken free and were fighting in rebellion. Both sides had weakened each other significantly, but the most loss suffered was by the common folk: people who merely wanted to survive and feed themselves and their children the grain they produced on their land.
When the news that a princess of Tamaran would be presented to them as a gift was given, Trogaar immediately accepted. He was an egoistic man and these days, he was losing most battles. He desperately needed to win this one.
When Kori was presented in his court, she was a young kid who was seven years old. But now she was painfully aware of her situation and her lack of power. She didn't dare speak to anyone unless commanded. Trogaar, immediately on the arrival of princess Koriand'r upon seeing her ragged clothes, had decided to give her three options.
"You have been sent here as a slave Koriand'r. I hope you're aware of that. This gives me the right to do whatever I please with you. I desperately want to kill you. You are Tamaranean scum, after all. But, you see, I want to change my image. I wish to be known as kind and just. So I'll let the universe or you decide your fate. You have three options Koriand'r."
The assembly watched attentively. If anything, they were sure he would kill her in an instant and yet, he didn't. This grabbed everyone's attention.
The ruler contined -
"You can become a slave: this means 20 hrs a day of manual labour, constructing castles and walls and murals in my name."
"Your second option is to become a concubine. I know I need not explain this further"
"Or you can become a foot soldier in the infantry in the ongoing war. It will be hard, but if you can actually survive and work brilliantly; you would at least be able to climb the ranks. Maybe you could even become one of my twelve pillars."
Kori picked up his sarcasm in her last sentence. He expected her to die within minutes in battle.
"If you choose the first two, you die a slave. Mind that."
Kori had had some training. It was in no way enough, but she has had some at least. She was sure of what she was about to choose ....but something just suddenly snapped.
Maybe it was the fact that she was oppressed. Maybe she had lost her mind. But even THE IDEA of returning to Tamaran in her full glory excited her. She just knew her right choice.
Kori spoke, she was weak and her voice was shriek but somehow firm and unafraid.
"The third, your majesty."
He softly gasped. He did not expect that reply at all. And from the crowd's reaction, neither was anyone else. He pretended to be unfazed.
"Very well. So be it."
Kori was sent to live with the rest of the footsoldiers in an enormous hall out of many. They all looked so...broken. You just knew they were waiting for their death rather than whatever they were doing. It was actually hell. A battle was about to happen in 15 hrs and Kori was thinking hard on how she could survive the day. No plan came in her mind and it was ironic really, she was a slave here and yet she was going to be a soldier in an army who were going to kill an army made of slaves fighting for their freedom, something they should have always had in the first place. But the situation for here forced her to not think about anyone else other than herself. It was incredibly selfish and cruel. She hated it.
If Kori had to think about her past again, she most probably wouldn't. But if she was asked about her first battle, she wouldn't even try to think about it. It was one of the most horrible parts. Most of the other foot soldiers were men, some were women. And all of them were grown people. Kori had some training, she was a royal after all. But even then, all she did during that battle was-
The trumpets blew. There were cavalries and infantries of their side running to meet their enemies in the middle. Battles actually last less than someone would expect them to. It usually goes from 2-3 hours to 8-9 hours. This one lasted for five. For the first hour, Kori just stood in between. Waiting to be killed, maybe. But she looked like a lost puppy that everyone just seemed to ignore. But one man did see her. As he came to attack, something snapped in Kori. She just....did not want to die anymore on that battlefield anymore. She wanted to live, to survive. It was a struggle. She was stabbed in her upper left arm. But she somehow managed to rip it out of her body and stab it in him one time, then another, then another, and then another. She stabbed him four times. Even with the training she has had, her stabs did not have any technique. It all just happened out of her fear of death. He died on the spot. It was the first time she had ever killed someone. For a moment, she thought she could actually go through with all this. That she would be able to survive on her own , fighting these grown people if they attacked her. But then reality hit.
The next three hours she hid herself under the body of the man she killed and pretended to be dead herself.
The trumpets blew again calling it a day. In a way, the man she killed saved him many times that day. His face did haunt her for a few weeks.
The War went on for quite some time. Numerous battles were fought and the years passed by. Kori was still there. Maybe it was what the Universe wanted, maybe she was just lucky; but she had been surviving each battle. With each battle, she gained some confidence and some new techniques. And not to mention, power. She rose in her ranks. She was lucky indeed. She stood there in the room when the people around her kept on perishing away.
The War was very tricky. Allies were called on from different worlds and the casualties were so many that no one now even tried to even keep a count of it. The planet, Karna was the harvest basket of many planets including Tamaran. Even though their relations were never ideal, the trade never stopped. Karna provided them with grains and Tamaraneans gave weapons.
As time passed, more and more land of Karna became engulfed in the War. In the beginning, 10% of the planet's land was an active warzone. By now, it was 70%. Numerous civilians died and fields were burnt. If the farmers of Karna had not produced enough grain, the planets they had established trade relations with would have came to their doors asking for it. Leaving them with nothing. The War had to stop and soon. Or else there would be nothing left worth fighting for.
War is one hell of a motivator. With the war going on for 9 years now, new inventions were made. The most prominent of them all was a ship which could travel the fastest they had ever known. It was beneficial for calling in the allies whenever the slave army needed any. The Gordonian army was losing. They needed a miracle and they needed it fast.
9 years passed by. In a war where people died like cattle, the surviving ones are bound to be given some benefits.
Kori and the remaining soldiers of her squadron had gotten training done by the Warlords of Okaara. They were known to be the best teachers after all. The best method of combat and the techniques used were all said to belong to them. In this time, Kori along with the other soldiers rose tremendously in their ranks. They were given some of the finest armour, weapons and even their own personal squadrons.
The Tamaranean body is very strong. Even though all of them had gotten the same training, Kori was deemed the best out of them all because of her brute strength. She was given another promotion. With the death of a general, she had been appointed in his place.
Now Kori was one of the 12 pillars of their force, second only to the King.

ITOSHI RIN X READER
COULD YOU EVER FORGIVE ME?
Tumblr media
Synopsis:
Childhood best friends to lovers to strangers. Itoshi Rin is fixated on soccer. Itoshi Sae ruins things.
You had known Rin since you were 9 and he was 8. You were in his older brother, Itoshi Sae's class in elementary and middle school. Sae was a very nonchalant guy, barely said anything. But boy, did he have a talent for football. He won all the districts and state competitions. He not too good at studies to be honest. He was ....above-average at best.
You were in the school's baseball team. To be frank, you HAD to choose a sport so you chose baseball because it seemed the least demanding. You were an extra and you had no motivation to be in the playing nine. The football field was just adjacent to the baseball field and one day while watching Itoshi Sae play during a match, you said:
"He's so weird, not passing the ball at all. A selfish guy most probably."
Sae heard this and took a note to give you a piece of his mind later. Rin was standing nearby, star-studded by his brother's talent. He used to watch his every mgame and even told him about you once his match was over. Sae, being the football genius he was, scored 6 goals.
Itoshi Sae made it his motive to make your life in school hell. He didn't do much, but it was enough to ruin your day. Sometimes he'd come over to your desk and call you names, sometimes he'd bitch about you to your classmates even telling the other girls to keep their distance from you. Even with all that, you had two friends and they were your ride or die.
This petty rivalry went on for years. You became somewhat frienemies. But there were times when Sae would cross the line and you would leave crying. And when Sae was not looking, Rin would quietly come up to you to apologise for his brother's immature behaviour. You were more comfortable with Rin than you had ever been with Sae to be honest.
And slowly with time, Rin started coming to you even when there hadn't been a fight. He liked spending time with you. He did not have any friends except his brother so he made sure to visit you whenever he was not hanging out with him.
And then Rin got the most devastating news of all: Itoshi Sae was leaving for Spain for his football dream at age 13. Rin himself never considered playing football, but he did love watching Sae play. When Sae told him he had a talent for soccer and asked him to play, Rin agreed. The brothers dreamt to become the best strikers in the world.
With his brother gone, he clinged to football as if it was him. And soon, football did become his everything. And so did you.
You and Rin became much closer when Itoshi Sae left for Spain. Now that there were no petty fights, you did not had to meet Rin whenever you had time. But you did. That boy was so lonely you thought. But soon you started meeting him because you genuinely liked being with him. If Rin was not playing football, he was talking to you. It wasnt until he was 14 he realised he had feelings for you.
It took him 6 more months to come to terms with his feelings and to confess. When you heard his confession, you did not know what to say and just stood there; bewildered. But soon you realised you had fallen for him too. And almost immediately, you both went from best friends to lovers. Your mother was a calm woman and did not disapprove of Rin. She believed he was a good influence. Your relationship had been going well and it had been 6 months when you heard Itoshi Sae was coming home. Rin was overjoyed and texted Sae,
" I'm so excited omg omg. Before you come to visit mom and dad, please come to (y/n 's address). We'll have a party! "
To which Sae replied,
"Ok"
When Sae came to y/n's room only to find Rin sitting on her bed, he realised they both were dating when he saw their pictures on the bedside frame. To say he was pissed was an understatement.
His trip to Spain made him realise how average he was. If anything, he was of middling talent. And he wanted to be the best or nothing. He had come back a changed man. A pessimistic guy.
Then seeing you carrying a big cake which had "welcome back Sae!" written on it was his last straw. He threw the cake and shouted;
"Rin!! How do you expect yourself to become a world class striker when you're trapped here playing house? I did not know you threw away your dream of soccer." When he said it, he sounded angry; but by the end he just sounded disappointed which was much more saddening.
You were sad and crying. You tried your best to hide it, but you couldn't. So you ran out of that room. Then Sae told Rin;
"I'm going to be the best mid-fielder, not striker. My dream changed."
To Rin this was absolute betrayal.
"What about our dream then? That you'd be the best striker and I'd be after you?"
"My dream changed and you are here having fun playing house so I assume you'd never even make it to the top 10. "
Itoshi Sae had gotten a reality check in Spain. He knows what a player like him had to give away to be the best. He just wanted the same for his brother, to be the best. But Rin's attitude towards soccer made him feel like a fool for worrying about him. For him, it was probably just a hobby he thought.
The brothers went to the nearby football practice ground where Sae made his bet.
If Rin won, he'd go back to trying to be the best striker.
The one-on-one didn't last a minute.
Sae won effortlessly.
That was the last day you saw Rin. He never called, never reached out.
The next time you saw him was when you were in the Blue Lock stadium seeing the U-20 VS Blue Lock Eleven match.
When it ended, you were so happy for Rin. He finally defeated his brother's team. And yet, the expression on his face had never been more dull.
While leaving, you ran into Itoshi Sae.
"Hey y/n"
"Hey"
"I wanted to say that....."
And Sae saw the look on your face. It was not forgiving, not in the slightest. It was pure hate and rage.
Seeing that, he swallowed his words
"Never mind, bye."
And he left.
Seeing the match made you remember every memory you shared with Rin all over again. How easily had he thrown away 8 years of friendship? As if it was nothing. As if YOU were nothing.
And yet, you couldn't hate him.
You never forgave him either.
After the big match, the blue lock boys were given 2 weeks off. As Rin was going to his home, he realised the place which actually felt like home to him was you. He had so much to apologise for.
He came to your house and rang the bell. When you opened the door he said,
"I made the biggest mistake of my life. Could you ever forgive me?"
