He thoroughly enjoyed walked the top floors. The privilege possessed, even when there workers surely curious of his presence among their levels. At most he'd flash a smile or wink to any cute associates, but stuck mostly to the goal of his top boss lest that precious time of hers be wasted.

The work satchel was dropped by the door before Vaati answered. "Goddess forbid I take any detours this time." And coming up to lean against over to see that lovely face of hers, allowing that cologne she liked so much to waft in the space between while giving her a look up and down, finally he added, "And I'd been thinking about you every night."

Part of the game was always teasing back, and that was another perk with her: the game. As if wrestling with that he could tangibly grab, but could also very well bite back. He liked that. He made sure she knew it, too. That personal time she texted, would be his as well in time.

Being so bold that it should drop jaws should anyone witness such scandal, Vaati cupped her cheek and drew her attention away from the window and towards himself. Center of attention as always. "Eyes on me now, princess."

“Perhaps. But the privilege to my personal time must be earned.”

It was a bit fun playing the tease, even though she knew this was completely unprofessional. It made her feel a bit like a young woman again— one that hadn’t made several mistakes in her love life and was now divorced and alone.

At least she had her career.

“I guess we’ll see. Depends on the type of grape. Don’t take too long, I have meetings all afternoon. I think you have a shoot in the afternoon too. ”

Was she purposefully making this harder on him? Perhaps. But that was the fun of toying around with a younger man. Most of the time they didn’t demand intimacy in the same way someone older would and she needed that. He was a fun distraction. Nothing more.

Hylia’s office was at the top floor of a very tall building overlooking the entirety of the capital. Very few people had access to these levels of the company without good reason, and very few people got to meet with the CEO of Triforce Inc without planning a meeting first.

So Vaati’s sudden presence was always an anomaly. It was always overlooked by the people working on the top floors. They were being paid well to not ask questions.

When Vaati arrived she was staring out the window, lost in thought. However, the woman seemed to have an awareness to her.

“Finally made it, I see. Good to know you didn’t get lost this time.”

~༺ :||  Inserting the card with a ding, he then pocketed the apartment key card. It had been such a long day, that perhaps he shouldn't have returned home empty handed. Shrugging off his satchel, he reflected back over the day, namely the new business proposition, the mounds of signing, pleasantries over dinner as he put on that charming smile of his, bumping into the one odd woman on the street that passed him such a displaced stare...

Honestly if she'd been a fan desiring a selfie or someone he'd grudged overstepping in the industry, she never said anything. May have been the new affiliates accompanying him, too.

Either way, the remainder of the day was packed with flashing cameras. Enough that his head still ached and welcomed the darkly lit room.

Shifting the light switch to something more dimly lit, Vaati haphazardly casted aside his jacket upon the sofa and approached the kitchen. A glass of water... That sounded nice.

Though his attention shifted towards something amiss. Canting his head, he noticed a door shut. "Hmm?"

He never closed the doors inside...

~༺ :||  Vaati wiped the tears from his eyes. So much for trying to be brave, but he was listening to the mage without the dreaded feeling of being far from his master. Not that he'd be missed... Probably... Regardless, ears perked up at the offer with the mouse nodding eagerly at such promise.

He didn't expect Pure Vanilla to bow, though. That was something only royalty did, right? At least those he'd learned about. Meeting such figures wasn't a privilege he'd earned yet, but Vaati fumbled but bowed in turn as not to disrespect wondering if the other was indeed nobility. "Thank you."

Falling into a walk behind the cookie, his nose twitched at the smell of actual vanilla where the scent followed after. Some shift in the bushes was enough of a start that instinctively made the cookie's robes a comforting handhold. "A-ah... Is this okay, Pure Vanilla?" he squeaked. "I was chased by a cat, and I'm still scared it may have followed me."

Despite its unnerving stare, it was a nonjudgmental look as Pure Vanilla’s head tilted at the name. Sage Elzo? He knew there’d been several cookies who’d taken on apprentices, but none with such a specific look to their person; nor has he ever heard of an Elzo before. The eye closed as Pure Vanilla twirled his staff some.

“Hm,” curiouser and curiouser! “I’m afraid I’ve not met a mage by that name, but… perhaps! We may just be able to find you a way home all the same, Vaati, was it?” The names sounded foreign to his ears, Pure Vanilla had already confirmed this was not a normal cookie, so it’d made sense for there not to be a -Cookie at the end of the young stranger’s name…

“Oh! My apologies, my name is Pure Vanilla Cookie, you may call me Pure Vanilla if its easier.” A hand to the souljam, giving the young Vaati a proper bow. “Shall we find our way out of this maze and look into this mystery?”

This cookie looked kindly, and well... "I'm a little lost," he sniffled.

~༺ :||   That first kiss was entirely bliss. Even with the force behind it, he couldn't help but sigh into it as if it were the first and the last. She'd never know how it always made him feel, the sensations of a simple touch... For her hands, her lips, to be upon him, Vaati drew her in possessively. This moment she freely chose to give in. He'd savor his wife's kiss.

This pleasure given, he returned Zelda's obvious desire with his own. And the breeze which was upon his person engulfed her as well in sweet cool. For this moment, he didn't wish it to end anytime soon.

Although it did. Unaware her hands had been fumbling with the clasp of his cloak, the mage was taken softly aback by it slipping from his shoulders. Red eyes peered down at her hands grasping his shoulders, and lips twitched with amusement where she splayed those royal fingers across his violet tunic as if hesitantly pushing the initial boundaries of her little exploration.

"Done already? You tease."

He nipped at her cheek, grinning with deliberately exposed fangs.

Then suddenly he was forced back and ungracefully lost his balance. Upon his luxurious sheets, Vaati pushed himself up and would have sat up further were the princess not forcing him back down upon the pillows. Lips parted in further surprise how despite their consistent bickering, she was always testing in ways that perpetually captured his attention in its entirety. He never wished to give her up with how his heart raced every moment they were together- in anger, in excitement, and perhaps... lo-

Zelda drew a painful hiss from the demon. The slightest of shifts across his groin were so crude for a princess, and Vaati swiftly gripped her wrist.

But that breath's release was enough of a confidence booster when she did it again. And goddesses it felt good. He laid back entirely, relinquishing her to do as she pleased. Only his eyes in the darkness never wavered. Rather than dangerous warnings, there was something that had appeared tamed and waiting. At least for the moment.

What better way for a demon to slip inside a royal ball, hidden behind a mask, and happily dancing knowing they could level the entire castle?

@serandipity ~༺ :||  That readiness was quite pleasing. If she'd turned towards outside help- say... some insufferable hero garbed in green... That may upset him enough that a more opposing side would manifest. No Link spawn deserved coming near his goddess, no matter the reason he himself could easily handle on his own.

Hylia's delightful warning caused a pleasant little skip of sandals upon the floor as he trailed behind her. And a hum as if carelessly listening. Canting his head around her, Vaati curiously looked the tiny statue over for the strange magic pouring forth from it.

Strange he never picked up on a gate below the temple, but perhaps that was part of her seal. It surely would have been a odd specimen for study. At the mention of gloom and corruption, Vaati chimed in arrogantly, "I can take care of your gloom. So long as you stand close within the barrier of wind, my power should keep it at bay."

Grand as he was, there were still other forms far greater than this human guise possessed.

But already, the sorcerer was reaching out towards that statue with mere desire to analyze the initial magic thereof. And eager to read that of the unknown contents beyond.

For all his bravado about being an evil demon, Vaati sure had... switched sides wasn't quite the correct answer. It was just that he was inherently selfish, and causing the world's ruin may never have been on his agenda in the first place since his seal broke.

Which made it even more dangerous to trust him. She was in his object of interest right now, but what if that changed? What if he became beholden to the power sealed away? Demons were just as whimsical as gods.

But he was right. A poorly maintained seal would cause problems as it began to weaken. She was truly in a bind here.

To turn to a demon for help... She must have truly must have been... desperate. How far she had fallen, but if that seal broke...

"....Alright. But if I catch even a hint of anything funny, I will pay the price to seal you up again myself. Come with me. I will need additional magic to open the gate where we need to go."

She gestured for him to follow her down into the basement of the temple, there another small statue of herself existed, but magic radiated off this one much in the same way magic radiated off the door of time.

"I will undo the gate to the place that binds the seal. It will be infested with gloom. Under normal circumstances, this body cannot with stand such corruption, but if we can cross through the gate without touching the gloom... I might be able to make my way to the seal and reinforce the seal."

~༺ :||  Was it stolen? Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. Regardless, Vaati turned the artifact in his hand and studied every little detail. He'd need take it back to his home to determine which era this could be from- at least if it was from a time from before his last imprisonment. With that thought alone he needed new historical texts of the more recent changes in Hyrule.

The mage sighed. It was always annoying to play catch up with the times. Not to mention aggravating to see some of the misconceptions of modern assumptions regarding their own kingdom's history.

Pocketing the relic, he began inquiring for the local library. And not long after, Vaati had indeed located the building with full intent to "borrow" some material.

~༺ :||  He pulled Hylia into the woods along farther from her temple, but still close enough if she felt compelled to visit her horrid spring. Giving her an occasional change of scenery always seemed to brighten her day, which he shouldn't care about given the bad blood between the holy and demonic. But whatever. He was different.

In his other arm, Vaati carried a picnic basket. Everything inside specially prepared from Hyrule Town. Sandwiches, breads, cookies, cakes, fruits, everything delectable he could stuff it to the brim with. Indulgences and new confections that he was pretty certain the goddess hadn't tried either.

And over his shoulder was another satchel. Just some things for shared conversations after a meal- namely historical books and a few smaller oddities. Kinstones and carved gems.

The songbirds that settled overhead signaled their arrival. At least... they had garnered his attention when he paused a moment to watch them fly carefree as if nothing else mattered in that moment. It would have been hard to believe he was the cruel sorcerer of old by the way he gazed up at them, but the gaze would break with satisfaction.

"Well? You didn't seem to hesitate too much this time. Is someone actually excited to have a date with me?" he teased.
