Blueberry Cheesecake recipe (fool proof, promise!)
Blueberry Cheesecake recipe (fool proof, promise!)
Tumblr media
Tomorrow it’s Mother’s Day and I just had to come up with a fruity cake. Alright, it had to be Blueberry Cheesecake. And as I am not much of a baking queen I had to keep it simple and straight forward. I love those homemade bakes with raw original texture, nothing too fancy, but something that is soooo good! I have to admit this is my first blueberry cheesecake ever, but boy did it turn out well!…

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire… We all know that Christmas song, right? Nothing speaks more to our imagination than the thought of a cosy fire place and sharing the deep connecting pleasure with family and friends, while roasting some chestnuts. The simple things we do in the presence of our loved ones. The smell is that of the…

Gluten-free Stinging Nettle Quiche The Ultimate Recipe! Sprice your taste buds!!
Gluten-Free Stinging Nettle Quiche – the ultimate Recipe
Let’s talk Nettles boys and gals…!! You know who they are, they grow about everywhere! I think they might be the most hated of weeds around in a fancy garden and are therefore heavily concidered to be pest controled. So most people try to beat them with horrific Round-Up and  have no clue of what they are actually trying to controle.
Stop!…

My love affair with nature is so deep that I am not satisfied with being a mere onlooker, or nature tourist. I crave a more real and meaningful relationship. The spicy teas and tasty delicacies I prepare from wild ingredients are the bread and wine in which I have communion and fellowship with nature, and with the Author of that nature. - Euell Gibbons

So I've been looking for this antique coffee brewer for ages 🙈😳🙈 Turns out I had it in front of my nose all the time.... Same with the coffee.... I was going through my stuff and found some unopened, brand new Lavazza packs in my suitcase, along with some hotel soaps and a beautiful herbal face moisturizer... That scent, combined with the found treasure of Coffee which I brought home from my last unforgettable trip to Italy, almost made me cry.... How things just come together when you least expect it and give you the Best Day Ever... And off I went to brew some goodness.... A moment of gratefulness and reflexion, remembering the old ways while feeling nostalgic.... Slow coffee it is.... The taste (always Lavazza ❤️).... Velvety, full and rich...! Wish I brought even more of this 'crema e gusto' Lavazza... I wonder how late Auntie Jana would feel about brewing some Italian goodness in her coffee pot 😊🙏 IG 👉 Wild Kitchen Tales

Today we celebrate the richness and harmony of divine Persian food with Khoresht-E Bademjan, a glorious eggplant stew... If you have never had Iranian food, go look for a Persian restaurant and try for yourself.... Experts believe that even after so many years, the tone of Persian food and food poetry has not changed much. Unlike other food cultures around the earth, Persian cuisine has not lost its identity and essence. Today, we find that most of the food cultures around the earth have lost their identity and have readily coalesced with globalized food culture. Persians believe that their food culture and literary arts are the pillars of their culture... And rightfully so... There is something we can learn from them... Many things 😁

The (re)birth of a plant.... The ultimate miracle of creation made visible... The Seed reminds us of a truth written into the whole of creation: that life can only come by death. The grain of wheat is ineffective and unproductive as long as it is kept away from the soil. But when it is cast into the ground, into the cold tomb of the earth, then from within comes life. If the species of a plant is to continue, then its seed must change, must be transformed, must lose its identity, so that the new plant may grow. If the seed is kept in safety and security, it will not bring forth anything new.... The harvested grain or peas or corn etc represents both food to sustain us through the coming winter months, and also the promise of hope contained in the seed to be sown in Spring. Let me give you the opportunity to ponder the meaning of the seeds in your own lives and to relefct on the harvest we are gathering in. We may ask ourselves questions such as these: - What new growth do I harvest and celebrate in my own life? - What will sustain me through the darker months ahead? - What seeds do I hold in store ready to plant when light and warmth returns? Have a fruitful weekend!!

Saint Francis of Assisi: Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; Where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek To be consoled as to console, To be understood as to understand, To be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive; It is in pardoning that we are pardoned; It is in dying to self that we are born to eternal life. - Eknath Easwaran Photography by Evelien van der Leeden 🌿 Wild Kitchen Tales 👈

Message from the Eldertree... Death is a symbol of rebirth, transformation, change, and initiation. The sun is rising; a new day is being born. The blooms symbolize the rejuvenation that we will experience by shedding our old skin, our worn-out ways, for the rebirth of self. Death of the old is necessary for the new to emerge. The old is like the compost heap, full of rich experiences from which new forms emerge. If we resist the changes we may experience emotional and/or physical pain. But if we exercise our creative imagination and visualize a new, more peaceful, at-ease self, a self the is in a better position than before, then we can move more easily through the unknown fathoms of death and let it take us from constrictive patterns of the past to emerge like the phoenix soaring upward. Death is getting down to the bare bones. It asks us to look at our true inner yearnings for emotional and spiritual peace. It asks us to be reborn through our union with a Greater Power. #elder If the Elder is your Moon Tree your imagination is fertile. You can make something beautiful out of anything, and you always feel wealthy no matter how little you have. Most importantly, you know that love is free. You are likely to be happiest in a profession that allows you to care for others.
