Too many things I CAN do not enough things I WANT to do. I could read or play a game or watch a movie/tv show, all things i have ample selection to choose from, but none of that sounds enjoyable right now. I hate feeling like there's nothing fun to do when there's tons of things i can do that i normally would love to do. The only thing I want to do is be with my bf but I can't. This sucks

I hate that starting to clean is the most torturous act imaginable according to my brain. Cleaning isn't even that bad and i love being in a freshly cleaned space, but it took me two hours this morning to force myself to start cleaning my bedroom. It was significantly worse to live in the mess than it was to clean the mess and yet my brain wasn't letting me clean it.

Never think or say the words " I'm gonna go to bed early tonight" that is a curse that makes sure you get no sleep at all. I thought that to myself 2 hours ago and immediately tried to go to sleep. I fear i may be up all night. I was also thinking about what I want to cook tomorrow and now I'm hungry and can't sleep. Horrible experience 0/10

"But sire Lady Elizabeth has made several public threats on your life, are you sure it's wise to send your knights away?" The captain of the guard was incredulous at the order.

"Do you think me so weak as to fall to an unarmed woman? Leave us now!" The room fell silent save for the shuffling of advisors and knights filing out of the room.

"I knew you were foolish, but did you really expect me to come here unarmed." A dagger slipped out of Lady Elizabeth's sleeve and into her hand as soon as the door latched shut.

"Ok so real talk, you and I both know that I have no idea what I'm doing, but I did a fair amount of research into you and I have a proposal for you. You could kill me to become queen, i have no doubt you'd succeed, though it would be quite the hassle. First you'd have to kill me, which itself isn't going to be easy, then you'd have to escape alive and get enough of the court to follow a usurper which while many already don't like me, backing the kingslayer is a bad look politically so they'd be hesitant at least. On the other hand you could become queen simply by marriage and gain almost all the power you need to enact the change you want to see and you get to skip all the hassle."

"is marriage really the only option? Can't I simply be an advisor?" Lady Elizabeth looked at the king with disgust, imagining all the possible ulterior motives he may be planning.

"The court unfortunately would not take your voice seriously as an average woman, but as a queen they'd be required by law to hang on your every word. I sense you may be weary of being expected to perform 'wifely duties.' Fear not, this marriage would be strictly political, we'll figure out an heir later." The king's words made Elizabeth's grip on the dagger loosen slightly.

"The public will suspect that something is amiss if I suddenly switch from trying to kill you to marry you." Elizabeth's voice softened slightly as she spoke.

"the wedding will be announced in roughly a year. Until then I will say that we had a civil political conversation where I convinced you violence was not the answer and you convinced me to make you an advisor. Not far from the truth actually. A year is plenty of time for the public to believe a romance bloomed between us. I will do my best to advocate for your ideas among the court until you become queen. Have we got a deal?"

Elizabeth looked thoughtful for a moment. "Yes i think this will work out for everyone's best interest."

"Guards!" The king bellowed, causing Elizabeth to jump, and a team of knights to barge in swords drawn. "Could you please escort Lady Elizabeth to her new quarters? The finest room available. We want to make my newest advisor feel welcomed."

A king who doesn't really want to and isn't able to run the kingdom properly catches wind of a noble woman who wants to kill him to take over and he realizes she is extremely competent so he decides to propose to her to save everyone the hassle and they have a surprisingly healthy relationship.
