Lust have it - June
I decided to get this box because I got an email offering the box for $7 I couldn’t say no to a deal like that and I’ve always wanted to know if I was missing out by choosing bellabox and not lust have it.
For $7 I’m very happy, and for $20 (the normal price) I’d still be getting well over my monies worth with a lot of full size products.
I’m very interested in trying the cosmetic kitchen stuff, especially the body scrub. Foot masks aren’t something I’ve ever used before but I’m happy to try them out.
I’ll always use up chapsticks because of my chronically dry lips, this one isn’t the best lipbalm I’ve ever used but it’s pretty good.
I haven’t tried the hair protectant yet because I don’t do a lot of heat styling anymore, but it’s always good to have on hand.
The lipstick is a basic red and I’m sure I’d get use out of it if I didn’t have so many already. I regret swatching it because it could have made a good gift.
From swatching the lipstick seemed very creamy so it would probably be prone to bleeding. It does claim to be moisturising and repairing though so I guess that’s what they were going for.
All in all a pretty solid box but since I already receive bellabox monthly and I’ve prepaid for a year I don’t think I’ll continue to get this. I already ordered next months accidentally because I didn’t know when they took out the payments, but I’m not upset about that because I love getting subscription boxes.
I am disappointed that I didn't get a makeup bag as promised, even if I already have way too many.

Philosophy microdelivery peel
I received this sample today as part of a gift with purchase pack and was very eager to try it out.
While I didn’t notice the warming sensation I read I would experience I didn’t mind because my skin felt amazing after using this. It felt clean and smooth, but not tight or dried out. There doesn’t appear to be a huge difference on camera but in real life my skin is much less dull and impurities seem to be less noticeable.
So far I am impressed and since these little sample sachets have enough for two uses I’m definitely looking forward to using it again
This is a product I will definitely consider purchasing the full size of.

Some comparison swatches of MAC limited edition lipsticks I've picked up recently. Order from left to right in first picture. - Burmese Kiss - Lavender Jade - Romantic Breakdown - Steam Heat - Tumble Dry - Free as a butterfly - Barbecue Order reversed in other two pictures. The Lustre finish lipsticks are all very similar and I definitely don't need all of them, romantic breakdown is pinker, tumble dry has some orange in it and free as a butterfly is barely there. (I use it as a highlight in the middle of my lips on top of other colours) Lavender jade is clearly the most unique and I'm so happy I was able to pick it up during one of the very short restocks they had recently. I would be happy to only have the Lavender from the Bao Bao wan collection, but I bought the other two when the collection had first launched and lavender jade was sold out. (They were an impulse, feeling sorry for myself cause i missed out purchase) I would consider Burmese kiss, Steam heat, and Barbecue to be in a similar colour range but they are different enough I can justify having them all. Burmese kiss is a pinky coral and the least like the other two, Barbecue is a very orange red, and while steam heat appears to have a little orange (it's described as a yellow red by MAC) it's definitely more red. I am going to have to stop myself from purchasing any more of these lustre's from the collections because they are just all too similar and not something I'm going to get much use out of.

Killer queen by Katy Perry This sample packaging is pretty smart, while I'd obviously prefer to have a little spray bottle so I can try it out a bit better the little cloth pad inside this sachet is soaked in the perfume and I was able to wipe it onto my skin to get a proper feel for it and how it works with me. I'm no good at picking scents so I'm not going to even try, and instead have googled and found this: "Top notes include wild berries, dark plum and bergamot accords. The main note of the heart is velvety red flower (Celosia), but there are also Sambac jasmine and rainbow plumeria. The base contains cashmere, patchouli and liquid praline." The scent is nice, but I don't think it's something I'd purchase and wear.

So I tried the keratin oil 3 minute recovery and so far I am deeply disappointed.
While working it through my hair I found that it was starting to tangle, which I thought was very unusual for something that is supposed to be conditioning.
It felt very thin and went almost watery as I tried to put it through my hair. In my experience hair treatments are usually quite thick and can really be worked into the hair but this was just the complete opposite of that.
Once I rinsed it out my hair felt horrible and dry (while still wet and in the shower) it was so bad I couldn’t bare to leave it like that and had to use conditioner.
I decided to try the sea mineral moisture conditioner and it was a life saver. I was able to detangle the mess the “treatment” had done to my hair, and it did a good job of getting moisture back into my hair.
I quite liked the smell of the conditioner, which I had heard some bad things about.
My final thoughts on these so far would be I look forward to using the sea mineral conditioner again and trying the shampoo and I’m seriously considering throwing out the “treatment”
Ordered a bunch of things during a 40% off Priceline sale. This is the OGX stuff.
So far I’m liking the argan oil, it smells nice and seems to be doing the same job any other hair oil I’ve bought before does.
I haven’t tried the rest but I’ve used a sample of ogx’s coconut milk shampoo and conditioner before and I quite liked that so I have high hopes.
Might use the treatment tonight to get my hair ready for being dyed later this week.

I recently made an adore beauty order to replace a couple products that have become essentials in my routine. Dermalogica pre cleanse - This stuff is like magic, since I've started using it I've not touched makeup remover (except when fixing makeup mishaps) because it just melts everything off my face. It's gentle enough I can rub it against my lashes to get off my mascara without burning my eyes and it does an amazing job of removing benefit's they're real which isn't an easy task. Daily microfoliant - I don't use this daily as the name suggests you do, but it's definitely gentle enough that I think I could if I wanted to. It leaves my skin feeling lovely and clean, without feeling dry and stripped like some exfoliators can. Another massive plus about both of these products it they last forever, I purchased them both for the first time back in April 2014 and have only repurchased now so I have them when I run out. The rest of the things in the picture were all free from adore with my order. - The timtam is a cute extra they always include - The asap sample size and dermalogica sachet are free samples (you get two with every order over $30) - The little dermalogica sample kit was a free gift with coupon code (they always have some sort of code going) I am looking forward to trying the SPF booster and the hydrating booster because I am always looking to hydrate and protect my sensitive skin.

Garnier Nutrisse creme permanent hair colour featuring the tiniest tint bowl in the world. These were also a part of my 40% off order, however the dye ended up being out of stock online so I got a refund and had to go in store to get it. (Luckily it was still on special) This is a repurchased product, and was the hair dye I used when I first went copper. I really liked it and sort of regret not just continuing to use this dye rather than trying others and going to the hair salon. Looking forward to vibrant hair and getting rid of my roots.

IVI Organic illuminating range
Cream cleanser - I liked this cleanser, I found it gentle enough to not leave my skin begging for moisturising. There’s enough in the sample for at least another use so I’d like to try this out with makeup on to see if it’s any good at getting stuff off but so far I’m happy with it. I gently rubbed it around my eyes and didn’t feel any bad reactions from that.
Facial serum - this was a really difficult sample to use as the serum just poured out the sachet as soon as it was opened. I didn’t notice any real difference after using it but serums usually aren’t made to be immediate. My face felt sort of sticky after using it but that could have been because of how much I used. I don’t know that’s i’d purchase it but I’ll definitely finish the sachet to try and build a better opinion.
Brightening hydrator - This is a really thick moisturiser that feels very heavy on the skin, not something I’d want to use before makeup. It seems to be doing its job but it takes a long time to sink in so doesn’t give me the instant gratification I like from my moisturisers. There’s a couple more uses in the sachet cause you don’t need much.
I still need to try the other cleanser but It's for oily/combination skin so probably isn't going to be my cup of tea.

LonVitalite - 24K Active Gold Full Eye Mask
I got this sample in a Bellabox a little while ago and finally got around to trying it.
They feel like any other cloth mask I’ve used before but they are just for the eyes rather than the face. Because of how small the slit in these are you have to keep your eyes closed during application. (This is obviously on purpose so the product can get all over the eye area) I applied one at a time because I didn’t think I’d be able to lay there with my eyes closed.
I did not keep them on for the suggested amount of time (15-20 mins) because I started to get a slight burning sensation. I do have very sensitive skin and eyes and this was just a slight reaction probably caused by the product getting in my eye. Since this is specifically made for the eyes I don’t think I should be reacting like that and therefore doubt I’ll ever purchase more.
I also didn't notice any immediate effects after using, my skin didn't feel softer or anything like that.

I did a practice run of my Halloween makeup last week. I struggled with getting the little cracks right so I intended to do another trial before the night. But now I'm too tired and just sitting here practicing on my hand cause I can't be fucked going to a mirror and practicing on my face.

Septembers Bellabox I've been holding off on posting about this because honestly I was really disappointed and just couldn't be bothered with it. But since this months one is in the mail and I'm getting anxious waiting for it I thought I'd try doing this instead. Wotnot facial wipes It says these are for sensitive skin which is good for me and I use facial wipes a fair bit so I know I'll use these. I just can't help but be disappointed by the fact I only get 5 wipes. I haven't actually tried these yet so I can't comment on if they're any good or not. Value $1.59 (based on dividing full size cost) Klorane pomegranate shampoo I don't mind getting shampoo samples but I really think if they're going to do it they should at least give a sample of the conditioner that goes with the shampoo. The sample is quite small and from opening the bottle it doesn't smell that great. It has a very artificial smell to it. I'll try it out eventually but it's not something I'm excited to go and use. Value $1.36 (based on dividing full size cost) Tigi catwalk session series true wax Never in my life have I used hair wax, so I really don't know if I'll find a use for this, but I guess now I'll have wax if I ever need it. The product smells quite nice, but I haven't used it so I have no idea if it's any good. Value $10 (price from amazon, Bellabox states that the value is $27.95 and leads me to tigi's website to find stockists but that website wasn't very helpful in finding where to buy it) Bioderma sensibo mask This is one of the products I'm actually looking forward to trying. I enjoy using masks and will be happy to try this one out. Value $7.99 (based on dividing full size cost) Sleek makeup eye dust in Inferno I've heard good things about sleek so I am very happy to add something to my collection by them. I don't use loose pigments very much but I will definitely be trying this out. The swatch on my arm is just dry but I think that it would look a lot more intense used wet, as with most pigments. The colour is also nice, I would describe it as a slightly rose toned copper. Value $4.49 (from sleeks website, Bella box stated no value which is assume is because they don't sell the product in their store, which I found weird since they sell some sleek) "Bonus samples" Color stay makeup in natural beige I'll try this out to see how the formula is but I'm pretty much positive this will be too dark for me. I know this is a bonus sample but it annoys me that Bellabox doesn't take my skin tone into account for these types of samples. I'm pretty sure everyone got the same colour so I think there was a lot of disappointment about this product. Value $1.74 (based on dividing full size cost) Garner perfect blur I'm happy to try this product out, it's nice to get samples of things I know I can easily go buy in store if I like. Value $1.15 (based on dividing full size cost) Total value $28.32 Technically I still got more than what I paid for the box but this box is probably the most disappointing one I've received so far. I have high hopes for this months box.

I made an order through Nordstrom and had a lovely person I met through reddit send my package to a parcel forwarder (as nordstrom wouldn't send the order to a forwarder)
She threw in a bunch of extra for me including all these bare minerals pigments. The are all really nice and I can see myself getting use out of all of them. I don't use loose pigments much but these may change that.
These are all finger swatches done without primer.

August Bellabox I figured since I’m receiving these every month I should keep track of what I’m getting and what’s good.
Aveeno daily moisturising lotion I’ve been interested in trying Aveeno and I can never have enough travel moisturisers. I always have one in my handbag because I suffer from extremely dry hands. So this is a winner for me just by being handy.
The moisturiser doesn’t feel like anything magical but it does the job. It feels light and soaks in quickly which is always a plus. It isn’t irritating my skin at all which is really important for my hands. It’s stated in the bottle to be fragrance free and that holds true as there’s pretty much no smell at all.
Savoir Faire eyeshadow in Kinetic 022 This eyeshadow is full sized and stated to be of $24 value. I’m not familiar with the brand at all so I’m happy to get to try it out.
It’s very soft and seems to blend easily. (With my finger at least) the colour is quite sheer but is buildable. The colour also has a lot of sparkle to it but the glitter is very fine. I love purple and sparkle so I’m happy.
I’ll have to try this one out on my eyes and see how it goes but so far I’m happy to add this to my collection.
Burt’s bees radiance day cream
I’m still searching for my holy grail day moisturiser so I’m happy to have anther one to try out. This one doesn’t have any SPF in it so it will be good if I know I’m going to be in photos with flash. I have used the cream yet because I just got a new one to try out, but I stuck my finger in a rubbed it into the back of my hand. It feels very light, an almost whipped consistency. It seems to soak in rather quickly which is a big plus for rushing in the morning. I’ve been happy with the quality of all the Burt’s bees products I’ve tried so in looking forward to using this one as well. Ogx nourishing coconut milk shampoo and conditioner Recently I’ve been trying a lot of different shampoos and conditioners so I’m happy to have another one to try out. I don’t like getting too many hair products from my Bella boxes though because that’s not why I signed up for it. But they haven’t been too frequent and it is good to have new products that I haven’t tried before. Sally Hansen complete salon manicure in mermaids tale This nail polish is beautiful and I don’t have anything like it so I’m really happy with it. My nails are in pretty bad condition at the moment because I’ve been stress picking at them. I’m trying to repair and grow them out again and am really excited to use this. I can’t say much about the claims that this is a base, strengthened and too coat all in one because I’ve only just out it on to write this post. The glitter is really pretty in it but is a little difficult to get even across the nail, and the base colour is quite translucent so I think I’d wear a base colour underneath so that you can’t see my nail through the colour. The picture is with three coats and you can still see through the base. Palmers cocoa body butter I don’t see much use in a sachet of this product, a small bottle would be much more appropriate and usable. I already know I like it though so I’m not really missing out. I guess I’ll use it at some point, maybe carry it in my bag for when I need it. Overall I am very pleased with this months box and think it was well worth the $15 The full sized products are the eyeshadow and nail polish which come to $38.95 RRP the rest are all sample sizes which seem big enough to let me get enough use to make my decision on the products. (Except the cocoa butter which is only “bonus” anyways) I honestly don’t get how these things fit into their theme of “Sport” but I’m not complaining as sport isn’t really my thing.

My empties and their replacements. Lancôme Double action eye makeup remover This remover is amazing, it dissolves benefits "they're real mascara" without any effort and as far as i'm concerned that's a pretty high bar. A little goes a long way, which sort of justifies the price tag. It has a slight residue but if you rub it into your skin it actually feels quite nice, so it's never bothered me. I would definitely repurchase and I already have. Olay regenerist revitalising hydration cream I received this sample size pot in a recent bellabox and I fell in love instantly. The cream is thin and feels light and soaks in very nicely. I get pretty lazy with my sunscreen on my face so it's always great to have some SPF in my moisturiser. This little pot also lasted a long time even with everyday use so it seems well worth the money (if I were to purchase the product) My only issue is the packaging. I'm not a huge fan of pots/tubs for my moisturisers because I always worry about something getting in there and ruining the whole thing. If this were in a pump bottle i'd be ecstatic. I would repurchase this product but since I only finished it a day ago and I just received a new day cream as a gift with purchase when I replaced my remover I'll be trying out the new cream first. Lancôme Absolue Premium replenishing cream As I just mentioned I received this today in the mail as a gift with purchase. So far I don't think I've been disappointed in anything I've purchased from Lancôme so I am eager to try this out. The timing of its arrival was just perfect as well.
