suddenly viscerally remembered when I was in first grade and decided that “I got a boo boo” was too childish of a way to communicate to my mom that I’d gotten hurt.

I was a bookish kid though, so instead I switched to “mommy, I’ve been wounded” which in retrospect must’ve been a little odd to hear from a six-year-old.

not-so-friendly reminder that hunting is an important part of conservation in many cases and that painting all hunting as morally, ethically, and/or environmentally "bad" does a major disservice to indigenous people, poor communities, and our environment

#also if you let the deer overpopulate you ARE going to have a bad fuckin time #without hunting the only way to manage the population is to bring in coyotes. and i may have mentioned this before but #coyotes are now so overpopulated in my area that they are not only the top predator but they are also now hunting people!!!#and they will eat any fuckin animal they manage to catch #and if this is your first knowledge of the issue then you arent listening to indigenous people #because they have been trying to share their lived experience of this for centuries #so dont come crying to them when coyotes eat your cat and start stalking you!!!#yeehaw folk tag

controversial opinion but top surgery and other trans healthcare shouldnt be trans exclusive. so what if an autistic woman wants top surgery because boobs are a sensory nightmare?? good on her. she isnt "mutilating" herself any more than anyone else who gets cosmetic surgery for anything.

it doesnt have to be exclusively "trans healthcare." maybe a cis guy just wants boobs or a cis girl wants a dick. who cares. your bodys yours. customize that bitch. the more normalized it is to just do whatever with your body for any reason the easier itll be for the people who need to do it to actually go through with it because they wont be socially pressured as hard or harassed afterwards.
