"Sure, they had softened in the past few years. Growing to accommodate the push and pull needed for them to interact beyond their first impressions. Impressions that would have remained once formed, had life not had other plans. But they were still both stubborn and learning one another’s ways."

On the Care and Keeping of Husbands Houseplants

Jounouchi’s been getting really into houseplants lately. It seems every day when Kaiba comes home from work, he finds a new one tucked into some corner or shelf or windowsill of their penthouse. If he didn’t know better, he’d think they were multiplying on their own. But Jounouchi’s continuous plant babble always reveals the secret: “Did you see the new monstera?” “The ponytail palm needs more light, I think.” “I put the dracaena on the table in the entryway.” And Kaiba would always respond with, “The what?” Which would lead to an exaggerated sigh, and some variation of, “You’re a billionaire genius, but you don’t know what plants are called?”

Q:  Hi! As I'm putting together my writer's application, I'm struggling with the portfolio section of the form. I'll be honest—I don't typically write a lot of sfw things outside of original fiction. Would it be better to link my regular nsfw ao3 or to just move the couple of sfw things I have on hand into a google folder and share that? My submissions are all sfw, but I'm not sure what would be best for the portfolio. Thank you!

A:  Hello! It is entirely up to you. As long as the submissions and final zine piece are sfw, I don't mind if the portfolio has nsfw work, so feel free to share that if you prefer!

We are looking to fill our team with beloved JouKai/KaiJou artists and authors. Applications will be open from May 15, 2023 - June 12, 2023 and close at 11:59 PM EST.

Here is the proposed game plan:

20-25 contributors | (Possible break-down of 12 page artists, 3 merch artists, and 10 writers)

There are 4 Invited Guests | 2 artists and 2 writers

Digital (PDF) + Physical (Portrait Style, perfect bound, glossy pages, matte cover) with added merchandise if possible

Nonprofit, befitting The Trevor Project; Once production costs are accounted for, leftovers will be donated
