i think the funniest killing eve take is like "why are you shipping eve with a psychopath!!" when ms eve polastri, in episode one (1), responded to a man's assassination with "cool!", stabbed herself in the leg to see how it would feel, and told her husband her five-step plan for killing him and disposing of his body so she'd never get caught. she's been crazy since day 1 babes. this is a nuts4nuts relationship

This was refreshing to see considering I’ve been screaming about it for about five years. Please stop just…. stop with the bastardization of this term.
I’m so so so happy that we’ve come so far with queer representation that this word means nothing to young queer people but it does have a meaning. And it is very specific.
It is also not queerbaiting when a fandom wants a pairing to happen and it doesn’t in canon unless there was an intentional marketing/press push to imply that it would happen or overt hinting simply to entice with no follow through.
I will add one counter point to Dana’s post: actual kissing can be queerbaiting. Straight women characters kissing has so very often been a sweeps ploy and it was always for the male gaze. Nothing of substance.

I've seen a ton of momentum lost just over the last couple days. I know we're exhausted and I know we're all hurting, but we have to keep fighting and making our voices heard. I was hoping something bigger would be organized, if I had a bigger presence across social media I'd try to organize something myself, but people are more focused on this nonexistent secret episode and we need to shift our focus and our energy into something productive.
This is a link to contact the networks that aired Killing Eve (AMC/BBC America). I ask that everyone please send them an email letting them know that you have cancelled your AMC+ subscription and will not be supporting any AMC or BBC America programming until they make a statement condemining Killing Eve for perpetuating the harmful BYG trope. Ask them to recognize how traumatic this was for the audience given the long history of violence committed against queer characters, who right after finding happiness end up losing their life only moments later. If you want to explain your position further, drive home the fact that while queer characters can die, it must be handled with care and be a natural progression of the story. Not a 3 minute horror film in which Villanelle is shot in the arms of the woman she loves in one of the most barbaric and vile sequences I've ever witnessed. Villanelle wasn't given a meaningful death, her death was purely for shock value. Silence gets us nowhere and unfortunately money talks. If AMC/BBC America won't speak out from a moral standpoint, if they know they're losing money they may be more prone to act. Please take some time to send an email to both AMC & BBC America (link provided works for both). The more emails sent, the bigger impact we'll have. I'm happy to help anyone who may not be sure what to say. Just please, take action. Please share this, both here and across any other social media you use. Let's make not just a splash, but a wave

Did you see the rating the last episode is getting on rotten tomatoes? The last time I checked it was down to 27%
That's so sexy of us
That reminds me. Go to IMDB and give a 1-star rating. The finale is currently at 2.7, which is still too high!

Laura Neal wrote some of the most overtly homophobic television I have ever seen. This was worse than Lexa because the entire season was one big allegory for why being religious and straight is the only way to live your life.
Notice how May was okay until she acted on her feelings for another girl, then she’s murdered by that girl. Fernanda, same thing: first time with a woman, that woman gets her murdered by proxy. Helene: I don’t need to spell it out. Gunn: wants another woman too much, eyes gouged out and abandoned.
Villanelle: spends months being quiet and changing via Christianity, but once she gives that up and gets back to killing and showing her love for women (Eve in this case), she’s punished in the end by being murdered by a straight woman she was vulnerable with while in an intimate moment with the not-straight woman she had changed everything around for. The idea I got from this was that if you turned your life around for god and be on the straight & narrow, you’re good. If you try to change for ‘man’ (or woman), then it’s not good enough and you’re not worthy of the celestial light.
Eve: Previously straight woman who was lured in by the thrill of a woman, but is baptized and reborn in the blood of her lover so that she can have another chance at everlasting life. Because according to Laura ‘Don’t Say Gay’ Neal, Eve was reborn in that water and screaming in relief for her new life sans the sin of loving other women (that last part is my addition, but I figure that’s what Neal said to herself when she masturbated over thoughts of crying sapphic fans).
It’s an embarrassment that Jodie and Sandra were forced to film this mess. I would have preferred the show been canceled after season 3 due to the pandemic rather than come back and film this Christian fanfiction on steroids.
I expect the spinoff to feature Carolyn handing out Bibles at the book club.
Well if the only way to live is religious and straight then i'm going to pray that Laura Neal goes straight to hell can I get an amen. I kept saying if 4x08 ends badly I'm going to pretend that 3x08 is the series finale, but I honestly don't think I'll ever be able to watch this show again so there's probably not much point in my trying to erase s4 from my brain. Remember when we all used to joke that we wished KE could be erased from our brains so that we could remember what it was like when it discovered it for the first time??? Now I just want it erased to forget.
Jodie and Sandra are ultimate professionals. I would've told em to fuck off and thank you very much, but that's just me. But as good as they are, even they couldn't save this season. S3 should've been the end of it
Spin-off? What spin-off? There is no way in fuck anybody is touching Sid Gentle Films with a 10 ft pole after this debacle. And especially a spin-off with Carolyn? She murdered a fan favorite, nobody was going to watch that fucking show anyway, but especially not now

"Villanelle is a complex individual who struggles to find love with Eve despite being deprived of it for most of her life. When you present a queer character like this, and at the end of the series instill the idea that all that work and suffering has no payoff other than dying in your partner's arms, that death is still the bleak fate befitting of Villanelle, that Eve (who's gone through many intense battles in pursuit of this relationship) is meant to end the story screaming in agony, alone, watching her dead lover float away after an out-of-nowhere sniper attack...yeah, I'll let you figure out how that affects the queer psyche"
