While I do enjoy trafficshipping and hermitshipping, it is ALWAYS within the context of a game and the cc's personas. In my reasoning, if they can murder each other in game and not real life, they can kiss a little bit in game and not be shipped irl.

The people who attribute the octo kill to Grian only are annoying, BUT the people who say it was entirely Etho's idea and execution while Grian just hit a torch are also a little annoying. Etho suggested the idea they all agreed on, but they workshopped it together ("It'd be too obvious like this, but what if we did it this way?") and each of them played their roles. I feel like some of you people, Grian and Etho fans alike, missed the whole meeting they had about it, including the very explicit statements of this being a team effort. I doubt anyone would have agreed to climb the latter if it wasn't Etho asking (at least not as willingly or not without suspicion). It was pretty much decided it would be Gem to activate it since people would immediately suspect Grian (correct) but ended up being Grian because people were arriving sooner than expected. From the very start any kills that happened as a result from whatever trap was set up should not have been attributed to any singular member, but all three. You make the rest of us look bad.

Probably an ice cold take but if you see Scott as a double winner but don’t think Cleo is a winner, you need to really examine why that is. Why is one April Fool’s Special any different than the other? Why is Cleo (and the rest of the lifers btw) calling themself a winner not enough for you?

(Also to be clear, I both consider Cleo a winner and Scott to be a double winner. This isn’t trying to invalidate Scott’s second win, I am a Scott fan and consider his second win a win. I just think there’s a weird double standard with Cleo for some reason in the fan base)

youre so right for saying etho deserves as much if not more credit for the octokill. I feel like such a hater for saying it but it’s true. he even said he was saving it for a boogey kill where it would have been entirely his. but when it comes down to it some people will only care about who pulled the trigger🙄

I really, really hate fandom discourse. It's driven me out of a lot of spaces I used to love and I definitely do not want to be part of instigating a fight. But I cannot sit quietly and observe when Grian himself said at the end of his video it was a joint kill. When a character or persona gets so popular and becomes a figurehead of a fandom, it almost always works out to where they become the one character that matters, especially to their hardcore fans. I know logically that Etho probably doesn't care, but I care that he gets credit. Grian, from what I know of him, would hate that he's the one to get all the credit. This man constantly makes sure his friends get the acknowledgement they deserve and definitely respects Etho. He would want the kills to be under the Secret Society, not one person.

Its honestly such a relief that a lot of other people feel the same way, it's reassuring to know I'm not just being dramatic.
