“Is that… Marinette?”

Chat was taking his turn on patrol, when he spotted the blue-haired pigtails bouncing into the local aquarium’s entrance. He dropped his baton down off of the building he had been sat atop, sliding down elegantly, swiftly following his friend inside.

He watched in admiration as the girl sat in front of one of the tanks, sketchbook in hand, sticking her tongue out in concentration as she aggressively doodled away - seemingly frustrated.

The boy sneaked a little closer, being caught immediately. He wasn’t sure how she’d heard him, but, needless to say, he was impressed.

“Hey, purr-incess,” He slinked down beside her, “Whatcha working on?”

“Hi, kitty, I’m, well, struggling to find inspiration recently… so I thought I’d check it out here,” Marinette smiled, half-heartedly, “Why are you here, anyways?”

“Oh, you know, I just love… um, fish?” He rubbed the back of his neck, a dorky grin plastered on his face, to which he was met with a blank stare, “Okay, fine, I was bored.”

The two sat together, silently looking into the tank ahead of them, bathed in the blue glow of the building.

“Hey, kitty?” Marinette finally spoke up, quietly looking at her friend.

“Yeah, Mari?”

“That fish looks like you.” Chat followed her pointed hand to a fish in front of them.

An ugly fish.

He laughed as he looked up, Marinette chuckling alongside him. Once they’d gotten out of the aquarium, the sun had come out, reflecting on the boy’s emerald eyes.

“Well, I’ll let you get on with your hunt for inspiration.” Chat smiled, ready to dash away.

“Wait,” Mari said quietly - a little nervous, it seemed, “Can you stay still for a moment?”

“Sure, anything for you,” He smiled as he naturally posed, “How come?”

“Your suit in this light - it gave me an idea.” She began to sketch away at a design.

Chat smiled as he watched her, and couldn’t help but notice the way that the sunset hit her, accentuating her features.

“Hey, princess?”

“Yeah?”

The boy took a step closer, tilting his friend’s chin up, gently, “You look beautiful.”

Vee Rates Ships!

Aarmau:

- 7/10

- i personally fw aarmau quite heavy, they’re basic and cute and they had a slowburn that i heavily appreciate

- however, it IS canonically um, problematic, so that’s knocked a few points off (plus they’re just the main ship, it’s not that interesting)

Zane~Chan / Zana:

- 9/10

- this is easily one of my favourites, i mean cmon their dynamic is adorable

- weirdly though, i enjoyed this ship more during S2 / S3 - i just think the Nana/Garroth kiss storyline in S5 really knocked it down a few pegs for me (although i blame the writing rather than the ship itself)

- i love their development + they’re really cute, well done mystreet

Travlyn:

- 5/10

- i have VERY mixed opinions on this one, cough domestic violence, cough harassment, etc

- their development? stunning. i’m a big fan of seeing their progress in both S2 and S5, and it’s super clear that they truly care about eachother

- if ONLY they weren’t toxic at the beginning. otherwise i guarantee i would adore this ship, but for now i maintain the love-hate relationship

Garrance:

- 6/10

- i was never huge on this when the fandom was still active and mystreet was ongoing ?

- it’s cute and i can say confidently that i like it ! it’s just sort of there for me, nothing really stands out, they had a sweet dynamic though

- i might’ve liked it more if i’d seen more of it, like if laurance hadn’t been written off after S3

i think these are the most popular ships i could think of, but i’ll definitely find a list of all the ships and make a masterlist !
