Reassurance to age regressors with trauma:
You are not a burden to your friends, your partner, your caregiver, or anyone else when you regress. If anyone in your circle has a problem with it, that's THEIR problem, not yours.
Your regression is not 'dirty' or 'gross' or any other word like that. You are free to cry, and scream and fuss during your regression if you need to. Regression is not always happy, but that's okay. You do what you need to cope.
Once you regress, there's no rush to go back up in age, or be an adult. You can be regressed for weeks or months, however long you need is fine.
No one is going to take away your toys or comfort items. They're right there with you, and that's where they'll stay, I promise.
It's okay to talk to your caregiver about boundaries your regressed self has. Boundaries count during regression as much as they do when you are big. Example: My little doesn't like timeouts, they make her upset so when she gets fussy, I ask her to "draw papa why you're frustrated instead." And then she explains it to me.
It's alright to have a loud outburst while you're regressed. Sometimes, it may be scary to do that if it's always been met with negativity, but it shouldn't have ever been that way.
It's okay to ask your caregiver to hold you, or tell them you need attention, or a hug. If they can't at the moment, that doesn't mean they don't love you though. Still, any caregiver will understand if you tell them that.
No one secretly hates you. I promise you, no one secretly hates you, or your regression.
I'm so glad you were born. Thank you for making the world a more beautiful place because you are in it. I care about you and want more than anything for you to be safe and happy 💝

💥Ways to help your Little with anger issues💥
Having anger issues, especially if you’re little can be draining and exhausting (- from the Little who suffers from severe anger issues)
💢 Do NOT yell at them or punish them!! Yelling at/punishing your little can make things worse! Know that your little one CANNOT control their anger and doing things like this can only increase their anger and/or make them feel guilty
💥 Talk to them! Sit down with them and try to talk to them about what’s making them upset. Please note that your little one might not always answer you, if their anger issues are severe or if in the middle of a temper tantrum. So be patient and understanding
💢 Try to distract them! Keeping your little one’s mind occupied can help their anger to go away! Examples: doing things they enjoy, making them their favourite food, taking them to places they like… many options!
💥 Making them laugh! Try and do something funny!! Something that’d make them 100% laugh! They might try to deny it at first, but if you keep going - they’ll burst into laughter xD <33
💢 Give them a piece of paper and let them write down all of the stuff that’s making them upset! Some littles might be having troubles expressing their emotions through words, so writing is a good option!
💥 Let them let it all out!! This is a perfect and the best option! (in my opinion)! giving the space to your little one to express their feelings always works! sometimes we all need to let all our troubles and feelings out!

Hey
Uh
Caregivers?
Pro tip (from a little)
Don't tell us to use our words. Sometimes we're non verbal, a lot of parents use it (sometimes in an ab*sive way or the parent was just bad) or anything else. Instead, please say "can you communicate what's the matter?" Of course you can say "can you communicate what's wrong" or "communicate what you want" or whatever you choose. It opens your little to other options of communication like sign language, pointing, writing or typing. It's good to have multiple ways of communication

I’m sorry but I’m too impatient to do this one day at a time so I’ll do this all now
1) I would definitely go to the candy aisle first
2) I don’t really care tbh. I just want one that has a lot of space to move
3) I can’t choose just one so I’ll list my top three. First I’d like an orange exotic shorthair cat, they are my favorite type of cat. Second I’d like a rabbit because they are very cute and I love bunnies. Lastly I’d like a leopard gecko because my math teacher has one and it is so cute and so sweet.
4) I think my favorite is when a plastic toy has multiple different textures to it (like when an action figure has smooth plastic hair but bumpy plastic on his uniform.) I also like how different 3D patterns feel on plastic.
5) I don’t have a preference because one day I might need a floppy on but another day I might need a firm one, so yeah it really doesn’t matter.
6) I like taking a nap an hour after I get home from school (around 3:30-4:00) because I’m usually exhausted from the day and it’s also not too close to my bedtime that I won’t be able to sleep when I wake up from the nap
7) I like holding hands the best because I can do it for a long time without getting overwhelmed and because hugs can be easily forced or suffocating. I’ve also never gotten a head pat, I don’t think I’d enjoy it as much anyway
8) I do enjoy coloring and my favorite thing to use is colored pencils.
9) I would say cats because they are not only my favorite animal, they also have a higher chance than any other animal to be my pet so I’d like to communicate to understand it needs and stuff.
10) I prefer a water bottle (I’ve never tried a sippy or bottle so I don’t know if they would be better) I hate using normal cups and I really hate using mugs. Wether I use one or two hands depends on my mood and what I’m doing when I drink
11) my ideal day out is to be with one person that I care about, only one. I’d like to get fast food, explore places, and do fun things with them.
12) Fall is my favorite season because it is the comfiest for me. I like the cold so when it’s chilly I usually don’t need a jacket cause it’s it’s not that cold.
13) my go-to activity to help me regress is just looking and browsing through agere content till I feel small enough

Age Regression in Mental Health (review of a scholarly article)
This post is based off of the article “Understanding Age Regression” which was posted on the website Healthline and written by Kimberly Holland on August 30, 2019.
Age Regression Itself
“Age regression occurs when someone reverts to a younger state of mind. This retreat may be only a few years younger than the person’s physical age. It could also be much younger, into early childhood or even infancy.”
What People in Psychology Think About it
Sigmund Freud (a psychologist) said age regression was an unconscious defense mechanism. Carl Jung (a psychiatrist) believed it could be a positive experience and wasn’t meant to escape anything and could help people feel younger, more open, and less stressed. Other psychologists think of it as a way for people to achieve a therapeutic goal (Holland 2019).
Types of Age Regression
As a Symptom: it can be a result of a psychiatric or medical issue like schizophrenia, dementia, dissociative identity disorder, dementia, or borderline personality disorder. For those wo th personality disorders, it can be spontaneous when the person deals with triggers.
Clinical: it can be used as a therapeutic technique. Therapists can use hypnotherapy as well to get back to a certain age to relive and hopefully recover from a trauma.
Trauma Recovery: those with a history of trauma can be more likely to regress to cope with said trauma. Age regression when used in this sense is a form of security against insecurity or fear.
Self-Help: for some, age regression is intentional. It can be used to block out worry or stress and to avoid personal problems or tough issues.
“As a form of self-help, age regression may help you revert to a time in your life when you felt loved, cared for, and secure. In that sense, this can be a positive experience.”
Is Age Regression Sexual?
“Age regression is never considered sexual. It’s a type of defense mechanism that allows you to mentally escape to a different time in your life.”
Is Age Regression Safe?
If you find yourself involuntarily regressing without control, you should seek help from a medical professional. But if you’re doing it in a safe environment and as a form of relaxation or self-help, go for it.
My thoughts on the article:
It is so refreshing to see an article on age regression on a form of mainstream media such as the website this article was posted on. I really appreciate how it’s written as well, because it’s factual and makes a ton of sense.
The author of this article really spoke about age regression in its true form and addressed the most important topics. I truly agree with everything the author wrote and highly suggest sending this article to whoever you want to tell about your age regression. It’s non-biased, straight to the point, and brings in all sides of age regression.
If you want me to post more information like this let me know! I hope this review can help you out in whatever way you need it to.

age regression
this is just for anyone who stumbles upon this blog and doesn’t know what this term means.
age regression is a coping mechanism where a person mentally regresses back to an age of a child, toddler, or baby to cope with trauma, mental illness, etc. it can also be for fun, and to relive the childhood memories that some never had. this is never sexual.
we know that we are not a child physically but our mind regresses back to a child mentally.
anybody can be a little. some regress from 0-7, 8-16. whatever age the little regress to they are valid.
some age regressors refer to themselves as littles or their significant other (but does not have to be) as “daddy”, “mommy”, “caretaker/caregiver” since they typically take care of their “littles” as if they’re an actual child.
what it is:
- a coping mechanism
- stress reliever
- therapy approved
- safe for minors
what it is not:
- kink
- ddlg, ddlb, mdlb, mdlg, or its variants
- nsfw
- any form of bdsm
- ageplay

you don’t need to explain your age regression to anyone, it is valid no matter how or why you regress!
