Arranged date with Vincent Valentine:

You were working with AVALANCHE for 6 months now. You almost considered them your family, I mean, you spent more than the half of your days with them, working, or just having some fun in Tifa’s Bar.

You passed most of your time in Tifa’s, talking with her and with Aerith, taking care of Marlene and even sometimes Cloud went there to have a drink and chat for a little. The last one you expected to find there was Vincent. He is a very reserved person, not really talkative but for some reason, he seemed to like to come there and pass some time with us, even if he never says to much.

It was inneblitable, he was weirdly handsome, and even if you two never had a proper conversation before, both of you started to look at eachother for a bit to longer than normal people use to do. I mean, everyone noticed that. You could be playing darts with Cloud or Cid, that he was looking at you non stop, and of course you returned these looks. Cloud in not known for his pacience, so one day he just went to you and said “I don’t know what you two are doing but it’s uncomfortable and weird, so stop it or I’ll have to do it”. I mean, the tension was palpable, and the story repeated for almost a month after Cloud’s talk with you.

He was definitely serious when he said that he would end it himself. You went to Tifa’s as normal, but you only found her. You wanted to ask if something happened because she had an enormous smile on her face, but you didn’t have the time, since Vincent came in followed by Cloud. Tifa leaded you to a chair and put your favourite drink on the desk. Vincent followed her too and sit there, in front of you. Cloud laughed at the image, and said “Hope you two enjoy your date, Tifa will help you two if you need anything” and went outside. Tifa smiled at you and went outside with Cloud, leaving you two alone. Vincent didn’t talk at first, he just nodded and looked nervously everywhere. You couldn’t help it and said “Well, maybe I’m the only one who thinks it but, we look good together, like we have a connection or something... I don’t now... I just like you and I though you liked me too, but we never talk with eachother so...”. Vincent smiles softly at you. He nodded and replied “Yeah, at first I didn’t know why Cloud wanted me here today, but I have to say that it was a pleasant surprise”. You couldn’t help but smile. You two were nervous but you started to know more about eachother. You even made him laugh! He couldn’t help it, he was falling in love. The date came into an end, and you two said goodbye to Cloud and Tifa. He asked were you lived and both of you agreed to pass the night in his home, it was way closer than yours. You were nervous, what is going to happen now? You should kiss him? I mean you’re staying in his home and you like him like a lot so... He was looking at you, again, and started leaning slowly at you. You noticed it, he was trying to kiss you. He looked amazing, only illuminated by the moonlight. He leaned forwards and your lips touched. It was short, it’s been a very long time since he kissed someone. You couldn’t help but smile. He told you were the bed was and leaned there with you, holding you as if you were going to disappear. Vincent caressed your face softly, looking at you with immense lovely eyes. “Rest well” Vincent said while he placed a tender kiss on your forehead.

Even though he was a bit of a ladies man back in his Turk days, it’s been a while since he’s been with someone.

It was a lifetime ago, so at first he’s very in his own head about the whole thing.

It takes some coaxing for him to actually get naked. He’s self-conscious about his scars, but he finally figures that if he expects you to be comfortable being naked in front of him, he should trust you to see him.  

Unlike when he was younger, if he’s sleeping with anyone, it’s got to be someone he has strong feelings for. 

This will show in the way he touches you.

His hands would smoothly caress your skin and his soft lips will plant unhurried kisses down your nack and collar bone.

On your first time together, he’ll want to keep to positions where you’re facing him. He’ll keep it as intimate as possible. 

He’s really into eye contact. He loves watching you resist the urge to shut your eyes as he pushes into you for the first time. 

He’ll hold your face in place as his thumb rubs over your bottom lip as you moan. 

He’ll go slow for a while, reveling in the feeling of you.

A = Affection(How affectionate are they with a s/o?)

Vincent isn’t much into PDA, not because he doesn’t like it, it’s because it’s been ages since he touched another human in a familiar or romantic way. If you hold his hand on public, you try to hug him or kiss him, 8/10 times he’s going to freeze. But if you do these exact things in private, he’s going to respond the same way towards you.

B = Breath(What could their s/o do to take their breath away?)

Physical contact. He’s touch starved, even if he looks like he doesn’t really like physical contact. Every time you hold his hand, you give him a massage or just touch him lightly, he gets shocked. He doesn’t really know how to respond to it, but he loves it.

C = Cuddling(Do they cuddle? If they do, how and when do they cuddle?)

YES, absolutely. He really likes to cuddle, but he doesn’t know how to ask for it. He usually waits until you cuddle into him. In rare occasions he pulls you close to him, gives you some puppy like eyes and then you just have to cuddle with him.

He’s usually the big spoon, but he melts when you hold him or rest again his chest. He’s a really nice cuddler, but his body temperature is kinda colder than yours and his hair sometimes gets in your mouth.

D = Dream(What do they dream of doing with their s/o?)

Living a normal life, without worries about the geostigma, Sephiroth, Hojo or saving the world. He just wants to have a normal life like he used to have before the accident. Living peacefully, lying in the grass with you until you both fall asleep, listening to music, maybe having your own kids since he grow to fond of Marlene.

E = Effort(How much effort do they put into a relationship?)

You may not notice it at first, but he puts a lot of effort into it. He’s a lonely man, but after discovering his feelings for you, he wants to give the best of him to make you comfortable and to make you feel loved. It’s difficult because all the little things he does are very subble, like looking at you directly in the eyes (something weird for him since he always looks down when someone talks to him), picking some flowers from the church and giving them to you, or giving you his cloak when it’s cold outside.

F = Fear(What do they do if their s/o is scared? How do they handle it?)

He makes them go under his cloak and puts his arm in your wrist, embracing you. It makes him feel more confident and you feel way safer.

G = Gifts(What type of gifts do they give their s/o? Do they want a gift in return?)

He’s a gentleman, when he goes somewhere and you’re not with him, he always tries to come back home with a little gift. Don’t expect a super expensive ring, or something like that. He could buy it, but is not his style. He usually buys some cute necklaces that reminded him about you, maybe some flowers if he’s not to away from home, or even food that you love.

H = Hugs(Do they hug their s/o? How often?)

He loves hugging you from behind and smelling your neck or your hair from there. He also likes when you sit on his lap, facing him and you hug him like that, it makes him feel protected and warm. He hugs you at least once a day, and you hug him at least three times. He would like to spend his entire day just hugging you.

I = Intimacy(How romantic are they? Do they have problems with intimacy?)

He have spent at least 25 years sleeping, alone, in the dark, in a haunted hause... so you can spect some problems with intimacy here.

He’s romantic, in a weird way. He usually feels awkward if you make him go to a fancy dinner. But he sometimes lights a little candle on his apartment, gets two cups of red wine for both of you, and cooks a pretty decent dinner.

J = Jealous(Do they get jealous? How do they act when jealous?)

Yes, he can get pretty jealous sometimes, but he just keep it to himself. He has trust issues, that’s obvious. His love, that was kinda reciprocated, leaves him to keep dating a crazy old man who also almost killed the entire humanity and experimented with fetus. I mean, that’s hard to swallow.

He’s scared of not being good enough for you, he’s scared of being a monster, he’s scared of hurting you, he’s scared of HOJO hurting you. He has traumas, and all those traumas make him feel his blood burn when another man flirts with you, when he sees you too close or too friendly with another person that he doesn’t trust. He wants to pull you close into a kiss and tell that guy to fuck off, but he could never do that, he just stands there, watching the scene.

K = Kiss(Are they a good kisser? Do they like to kiss? How often do they try to kiss you?)

Before the accident, I think that he had almost one lover. He was an attractive person, with beautiful feautures, and a charming personality. He had kissed some girls before, but it’s been a lot since that. He’s a shy kisser at first, he’s nervous, he wants to make it perfect, and he does it!! He’s a really good kisser.

He gives you some pecks before he goes outside, also before going to sleep or after waking up.

L = Love(When do they say they love you? How often do they say it? Do they prefer to say or show it?)

You have to wait for it. He’s not the best at expressing himself. He would have said that he loved you around the first day you started dating, but he couldn’t.

You say it pretty often. He loves hearing it and he always tells you that he loves you back. When you’re cuddling him, or just alone with him, he just sais it. He loves when you get excited and start kissing his whole face.

M = Marriage(Do they want to get married? If so, what kind of ceremony?)

He absolutely wants to spend the rest of his life with you. He want to start a family and love you until the end of your days.

He would mind a small ceremony, with Claud, Barret, Tifa, Reeves... and your family. A really intimate ceremony, maybe in the old church.

N = Night out(What type of dates do they like to go on? How often do they like to go on them?)

He doesn’t mind dates, but they’re not his type. He prefers just going out for a walk with you, maybe going to the cinema, but not the classy dinner date on a restaurant.

O = Out of the Ordinary(What’s something they don’t normally do with/for their s/o?)

Fighting. He hates fights. He hates being angry with you, so, if you both are angry with eachother for something, he always apologizes first.

P =Playful(Are they playful in a relationship? If so, how do they play around/mess with their s/o?)

Not really. I mean, he’s not the funniest guy in the group, but he can mess with you a little when he feels like it. If you’re in the bar playing darts, and you’re losing, he jokes about how bad you are.

Q = Questions(Do they ask their s/o their opinion on things? Do they share theirs?)

Absolutely. He wants to know your opinion about almost anything. He loves listening to you. If you ask him for his opinion, he’s going to tell you, but he always says that his opinion is not that important. If you’re happy about something that he doesn’t find really exciting, he just tells you that is fine, only to please you. Seeing you happy is all he wants.

R = Random(How spontaneous is their relationship? Do they do things on the spot or plan ahead?)

Nothing is random with this man. He likes to think about almost everything, even the smallest thing like what type of weather you like the most so you both can go out that day.

S = Sleep(How do they sleep with their s/o?)

Cuddling you or facing you. He holds you like you’re going to disappear. He loves holding you close, feeling your warm body around him. He also loves sleeping resting his head on your knees, he finds it confty.

T = Trust(How much do they trust their s/o?)

With his whole life. He could do anything for you. He trusts you to talk about his past, his bad moments, when he feels down, just anything. He know that you’re always going to listen to him, and that’s all he needs.

U = Unique(What makes them unique as a s/o?)

The way you make him feel. He feels confident, loved and cared when you’re around. Your mere presence tranquilices him.

V = Vulnerable(How long until they can be vulnerable around their s/o? What are they like in this state?)

He’s a really reserved man. You will need a lot of pacience to make this man open around you. He’s been though really rough things, and he’s scared of trusting and loving another person.

But after, at least, a loooong a year, he could be prepared for love again. When he’s vulnerable he feels both, scared and pleased. Scared because he doesn’t want to love and lose everyting again, pleased to feel like this, this feel of love embraces him and he’s actually pretty excited about it.

W = Wild Card(Get a random domestic headcanon of the character of your choice)

He can fall asleep anywhere. It’s impressive. You have seen him awake for 4 days in a row, and then you could leave for 10 minutes and find him sleeping in a chair with his head resting on the table.

X = X-Ray(What would they do if their s/o got injured?)

He will blame himself. He always does that because he could have protected you better, he could have told you not to go to a mission, he could have done a hundred things so you don’t get injured.

Y = Yuck(Do they have any pet peeves about their s/o? Are there any habits that might bother their s/o?)

He gets mellancolic pretty easily. You try to cheer him up but when he gets that way, but it’s kinda difficult. You feel bad seeing him like that, so you always try to hug him and making him feel that you’re right there. He knows it and always thanks you for being there when he’s down.

Z = Zeal(Are they passionate as a s/o? Do they want or like passion?)

He’s a really passionate lover, but he also feels awkward trying to be like that. He loves when you kiss him passionately, when things gets hotter, that drives him crazy, but he always seems calm and collected, even if he is burning inside.
