Nah in all seriousness tho theres five books, the first two of which are covered in the show, definitely worth a read (although the key elements are the same in the show and book 1/2, it varies well enough to be read as well)

OKAAAAAAY, so i finally finished lockwood & co. AND I FEEL WRECKED THAT THIS SHOW DOES NOT HAVE A SECOND SEASON?!

i watched this show after putting it off for so long from my watchlist and GOD, i instantly fell in love with it. ALSO, HELLO?! ALI HADJI-HESHMATI IS SO CUTE??? I CANNOT IMAGINE A MORE PERFECT GEORGE!

the last episode of the season has my heart AND HAS MADE ME APPRECIATE THE DYNAMIC BETWEEN LUCY AND GEORGE. i have so much to say about these two; just that my brain is all mush at the moment.

and with that being said, not only will this blog serve as my means of finding partners to write with but will also be my yapping space.

with lockwood & co. being my current [hyper]fixation, expect edits, gifs, etc. to be uploaded on this blog related to the show. yes, i am a year late to the fandom but better late than never, no?

I'm sure this has been discussed many times but I've never understood why The Sand LineTM in Attack of the Clones is so often used as an example of bad dialogue.

It's not like Anakin brings up sand out of nowhere. He's jumping off of Padme talking about her childhood experiences at the villa they're hiding out at which includes her saying, "We used to lie out on the sand and let the sun dry us and try to guess the names of the birds singing."

Anakin latches onto the word 'sand' to make conversation. He spent a good chunk of his youth on a desert planet and it's also heavily connected to his childhood trauma considering he was raised a slave there. Of fucking course the man doesn't like sand.

Is it the best dialogue ever written? Nah but it's not an unreasonable line and completely fits into the conversation she started.

Written for Locklyle Week 2024 Day #4: rain/storm

Five times Lockwood and Lucy nearly kissed during a storm, and one time they finally did

“Here I am, being such a gentleman, and this is how you thank me?” he said. Somehow her hands ended up resting on his chest; she could feel the jump of his heartbeat under her palm. “How else am I supposed to thank you?” she said, still teasing. Lockwood gazed down at her, his dark eyes soft and shining in the moonlight, his lips tugging up in a slight shy smile. She could feel his heartbeat quickening under her hands. He was so much taller than her, was he always this tall? Rain pattered softly on the umbrella and they were all alone on the quiet street, almost like they were the only two people in the whole world. Lockwood was so warm and so strong and so close . His free hand had fallen to span her waist, her fingers tangled in the front of his shirt. His cologne smelled spicy and heady, making her head spin. She tilted her chin up towards, rising slowly on her toes, and Lockwood bent his head. The cab pulled up to the curb and slammed on the brakes, water sloshing up and drenching them, and instead of kissing her forehead smacked into his nose, leaving them both reeling.
