Anybody else been using bathtubs as troughs?😂 This one has been useful, but doesn’t beat an actual trough- Your donations have not only given our animals food, but also for actual water troughs they all needed during the worst of the drought. Follow along with us as we prepare for our winter garden! 🥬🥬🥬🥔🥔🥔 These are the best practices that have worked in the past for us that we would to share: 1. Mix of sheep and/or horse manure into the soil. 2. Blood and Bone mix sprinkled on top which is excellent for iron and plant growth. Mix this through! 3. Once your chosen veggies are planted, pour Seasole Seaweed Solution. This solution gives them a rapid mineral for their uptake and transplant shock for them to settle into the ground well. 4. Voila! Meet our Stunner Stallion, Strider! A Pure Crabbet Arabian Stallion which means he descends from the pure old blood lines. His roots run deep to one farm in England, Crabbet Park Stud, that was established by Wilfred and Lady Anne Blunt in 1878. She use to import Pure Crabbet Arabian horses to England, she would pick from the best and they descended from them. These type of Stallions have a Good heart, Good Stamina and confirmation. We love our wonderful Acorn Trees! We love sitting under them for lunch on a warm Autumns day or a Spring evening barbecue. Every year we receive a huge bunch of acorns on all of the branches to make acorn flour or plant new trees with the seeds. Now this year due to the extreme heat of the drought this wasn’t the case and we sure miss it! Last year, our nieces and nephews picked all the acorns and planted them in random spots in our paddocks. They have spouted up and are now being repotted to be nurtured until they are ready to be planted in the perfect places around the house. We hope that we don’t get a repeat of no acorns from extreme dry weather next year!
