What Will People Say
What Will People Say
Sameen nearly stumbled in her rush, breezed past a corner, just about dodged an incoming pedestrian who yelled something about patience behind her, and only just relaxed when she could see the cafe’s sign fifty meters away.
She flew in, oblivious to the many disapproving looks aimed in her direction, seemed to telepathically know where her friends would be, honed in on them like a homing…

It’s you vs. you EVERYDAY
It’s you vs. you EVERYDAY
News published about two Korean giants planning to invest in the healthcare and fitness industry of Pakistan induced me to an exploration. We live in a society where there exist two sects. One faction abominating exercise, as for them, it is an utter nuisance and involves way too much hard work, while for others it is a routine, a part of their existence. We have been hearing people in Pakistan…

Mystical Pakistan
Pakistan may be not much think-able for many travellers due to the severe image created by local and international media, but there is a lot of interest to Visit Pakistan. Pakistan is the real India where everything began, the Indus civilisation, the scripts of Ragveda, The Buddhism and the language Sanskrit were all started here. We are also a land of the highest mountains of the world including…

The Circus of 1857
The Circus of 1857
The Last Mughal Emperor Abu Zafar Sirajuddin Muhammad Bahadur Shah Zafar Recently I was talking to a friend in Malaysia, and she asked me to define what does farce means? I was startled at her question first and that of telling her that it involves a ridiculous situation but then I asked her to wait until the weekend and read my blog to have a better insight on the word. The last Mughal Emperor…

Recently I had a chance to fly Thai Airways and enjoy some of its premium services, which includes the usage of Thai Airways’ flagship Royal Silk business class lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport’s Concourse D and a complimentary spa treatment, so without much ado let me begin the review.  Royal Silk Business Class Lounge is clouted in the middle of the terminal in a location that can’t be knocked out, with the airline’s premium passengers enjoying speedy access after passport control and clear security check via Thai’s private channel, and then take the first escalator down, which takes you directly into this Royal Silk Lounge and complimentary spa treatments nearby in the Royal Orchid Spa. Once inside, you’ll find an array of seating. The lounge is basically one long rectangle, with a dominant alley managing from one end to the other and then out into the terminal at the other end.
The food section was well stocked with a good selection of warm and cold options. The main island in the centre served hot appetizers and mains while cold sandwiches and desserts were being served in a separate area across the room. There is a live station as well that was serving that mushroom and pork wontons in a clear soup. Not much of the Halal food options were available, but I managed to find some delicious fried fish and rice. There is a room where you may make your own machine-made espresso coffee to the side as well as choose from a range of fresh ingredients to make your own salad.
The business centre in the lounge looked dated and the closed cubicles did not inspire me to give it a try, however, the internet is pretty much decent. WiFi is available throughout the lounge – you’ll receive a unique username and password when you arrive, which you’ll need to enter after connecting to the THAINetwork_Silk(D) hotspot. Boarding calls aren’t made within the lounge itself, so, therefore, keep an attentive eye and check with the reception or the board in the lounge for boarding updates. The staff is very honest, I had forgotten my phone in the lounge and the poor lad had to run all the way to the boarding gate to pass the phone to me, really impressive!
Now at the boarding gate, there were two cramped up queues, one for the economy class passengers and the other for the Silk Business Class Passengers. Ironically, the economy class passengers were being moved faster than the premium class passengers. Also, Thai Airways didn’t have a separate shuttle for business class passengers to be carried to the aircraft. Economy and Business Class passengers have all crammed up alike in the same shuttle bus and driven towards the aircraft, which was annoying.
Tumblr media
The particular flight TG 508 was being operated on Airbus A 330 aircraft that features angled lie-flat business class seats arranged in a 2-2-2 configuration. The seats are well padded, quite comfortable, and I was able to nap in them.
Tumblr media
Thai Airways’ amenities are high quality, at least in terms of what they do provide. My headphones were comfortable on the ear and came with decent sound quality as well. The pillow was big and supportive, and the blanket was quilted and comfortable. Even the amenity kit contained good quality toiletries and accessories.
I was rather impressed by the quality of lunch served, along with the appetizers and a wide range of hot and cold drinks and snacks available throughout the flight. I ordered traditional Thai lunch and sweet potato baked with a banana slice and topped with coconut cream in dessert which was delicious. Later in snacks, I ordered Lamb Kebabs and they were tasty as well.
In-flight service was very good. The flight attendants were friendly for the most part, they were smiling and seemed happy to be there to serve and assist you. Thai Airways’ A330 business class is exactly what I expected except that the airport shuttle driven to the aircraft was downright indifferent to my expectations – other than that, I love an airline that commits fully to a solid brand, and Thai Airways did exactly that. Definitely going to fly them again on other routes as well.
Thai Airways TG 508 A 330 Business Class! Recently I had a chance to fly Thai Airways and enjoy some of its premium services, which includes the usage of Thai Airways' flagship Royal Silk business class lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport's Concourse D and a complimentary spa treatment, so without much ado let me begin the review.

While planning a family holiday with my dad and sister, we are very much particular in choosing the right hotel because there is nothing like a bad hotel suite room to put you off on your holiday! After all the hectic activities/travels through the day, one yearns for a good night’s sleep in a good, comfortable bed. While booking an accommodation, we look for best deals and also value for money. To this end, it is our experience that the traveler reviews featured at online spaces
Lobby
helps us decide, though a word of caution here, one should not look at just a couple of reviews and decide, because most of the places will have both positive as well as negative reviews. The trick is to find the one that has more positive reviews and keeping this in consideration for my recent 9 nights 10 days holiday, we chose The Intercontinental Pattaya Resort, and it didn’t turned out to be any short of expectations rather it has much more to offer then what was actually anticipated.
With Miss Rangtiwa Boontam Manager Club Intercontinental
Set on a green, forested headland overlooking Koh Larn (Coral Island) and the Gulf of Thailand, InterContinental Pattaya Resort offers elegantly-designed accommodation with views of lush tropical gardens or the deep blue sea. We were booked into the Club Intercontinental Tropical Terrace Suite by the efficient Bobby the Club Intercontinental Butler in capable way. To make our stay even more pleasant, even being on a leave, Miss Rungtiwa Boontam the Club Intercontinental Manager had the room prepared just as per my request. The suite is just comfortable and large with modern decor, but what it really lacked in my opinion is the availability of a separate attached dinning and sitting room that suites are actually famous for, although this feature was missed by us throughout our stay because for Halal reasons, we had brought in our own Muslim Food Range and dining in room without a dining table was a bit uncomfortable but the bolstering came in as this Club Tropical Terrace Suite had a private sala, overlooking the garden, and one of the resort’s swimming lagoon. The suite also featured an oversized bathroom with dual washbasins, and a large floor covering bath. Thanks to Ms. Panutchakron Lapapan and Mr. Suphachit Uthaisa (Got) the very hardworking and diligent house keepers, we had a made up room and fresh bathroom daily, though we decide to have the bed sheets changed every third day instead of them being changed on daily basis.
Make Way For The Buggy!
We arrived on a rainy day to a warm welcome. At the check in we were offered traditional orchid garlands and a very refreshing herbal cold tea (I wish I could get the recipe for this delicious delight) and we were driven in a buggy to our room with a note that we can avail buggy service whenever we wish to arrive at the reception or go anywhere else within the hotel but, we felt that it would be a slur to not walk at this more like a private country club than a typical holiday resort with luxuriant green gardens full of tranquil peace.
  Spirituality Lagoon
Even though there are plenty of sparkling beaches available in Pattaya, we still appreciate a convenient pool to take a dip in at the end of the day or a nice relaxing hot tub to soak our muscles. This resort proudly boast three beautiful, lagoon-style pools, each surrounded by lush greenery, which are perfect for swimming and sunbathing, with plenty of sun beds for relaxation
and a cooling drink always within easy reach. The shallow Splash Lagoon is suitable for young ones or those interested in learning how to swim. Then there is a serenity pool which has a warm design including a trifling water swirl. And the one that was in front of my room is the Spirituality Lagoon which is perfect for doing lengths, but, if you want an extra dive then there is a private white sand beach, where one can relax, play beach games and work on the sun tan or simply swim in the calming waves of the Gulf of Thailand, and if this is still not enough then for the water and beach loving guests,
Lost in thoughts at the private beach
Intercontinental Pattaya offers a tour of the stunning islands of the Gulf of Thailand aboard the Princess Yacht, complete with trained crew or a ride to the island on a speedboat directly from the resort beach, or explore the underwater world around the island from a glass-bottom boat. The guests are also encouraged to embark on taking a trip to Coral Island (Koh Larn) and spend the day swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing.
  With Jotupol and Mr. Thanawut
Pattaya has something for everyone. Shoppers will love the sun sets, downtown Pattaya and Walking Street coming alive. From booming bazaars to quiet sophisticated shopping malls it all could be reached thanks to the complimentary shuttle service to and from Central Festival shopping centre and the resort. Just do not forget to call the reception half an hour early to book your space in the shuttle to avoid inconvenience and disappointment. The concierge team is very friendly. Mr. Thanawut Kadkrathok (Toni) will handle any inquiry personally. He assisted us with planning holiday activities and booked us a couple of tours that my sister and I really enjoyed. If Toni is not available then look around for Jotupol, the bell boy. He sure will  try his best to assist you.
  Fitness Centre
Maintaining your health and fitness routine while on a vacation helps make traveling more holistic. The 24 hours open fitness centre has all the equipment that is needed for a regular workout.  You may also enjoy a body, facial, and beauty treatments in a tropical garden with entrancing water sorts, and with a décor of natural woods and fabrics at the Amburaya Spa, or you may indulge in buying s
The HARNN Shop
ome award-winning Harnn brand body, and skin care products that date back centuries and are exclusively available to guests of Intercontinental Resort at the Harnn shop within the resort next to the Elements Restaurant. However, I felt missing of a proper shopping arcade within the property, which I think the management should consider having.
  Breakfast at Elements
The buffet breakfast, served at the Elements restaurant was the best way to start our day. From freshly baked croissants, to made-to-order eggs, to a view of a calm ocean and tropical greenery from the terrace that would help you ease into a new day. Tae (Santi), Kim and Nui the elements team are really great people who added to our overall experience. They were once the type of tea we preferred and during our entire stay, we never had to repeat, and tea was served just the way we relished, what else may we expect and say for them apart from that they are sincere and dedicated staff. The omelet team Sunisa and Narin, had our day started with their smiles and greetings! Waitekon
Waitekon The Bartender at his best
the bartender is great at skills and he definitely refreshed us throughout at the club intercontinental with his special mocktails. This property boasts two great restaurants, each with indoor and outdoor seating options; however, what this resort lacks is an availability of a Halal Food exclusive restaurant. Staying at a resort is usually meant an all-inclusive deal, but the non-availability of this feature was the only dark complaint that we could rise up with.
Ms. Maneenuch Asst. Front Office Manager, Mr. Hiru Resort Manager, Papa and Myself
The Resort Manager Mr. Hiru Daryanani and the Front Office Assistant Manager Miss Maneenuch Sanghaphasak are two meticulous, attentive and conscientious people who are an asset for this resort. They are personally available with all the warmth of traditional Thai hospitality to make your trip goings-on memorable and to ensure you get the most out of your holiday and enjoy the full Intercontinental Pattaya Resort experience. For us they really made our stay at this haven truly memorable. We are definitely going to return to this luxury heavenly sanctuary for another spectacular holiday, hopefully very soon!

The Chase Begins With A Farewell
The Chase Begins With A Farewell
Bidding Farewell “It is hard to say goodbye to a project which has been less of a work and more of a life. I will miss you all and I am sad that the joyride of working with you all has to come to an end. I bid you all good-bye.” Said Usman Aman the off going director of the movie Taaqub – The Chase Begin, during a farewell organized by the movie’s new director Talha Ghouri at his famous…

#Funny how it's mainly white #people saying to not pull the #race #card.. How many #whitepeople have really felt #racial #oppression? I mean really had someone look at you like your #scum over something you have no ability to change. I think If two white people suffered an #acid #attack from a #Muslim it would be #headline #news and would be treated as terrorism with two minutes silence in all public arenas. *Jameel Muhktar and his cousin had acid thrown in their car eight days ago* terrorism is not Islam... Terrorism is a feel beyond any religion race or creed!
