we were on our way from murree to bhurban and I saw all the little tuck shops always with the racks outside, packets of chips. the sky turned orange and the sky turned pink, but then the sky turned purple. And everything was beautiful, it was post sunset, and we were driving in between mountains. the thing about Pakistan’s mountains is that they’re covered with trees; Chir. 🌲

So much more majestic.

dua and I were controlling the playlist and I only wanted to play Allah hu Akbar by cokestudio. Everything was just pretty, and Nature seemed to be charming, us as a family as we drove, in all her glory.

Baba drove faster and faster, and I do remember at some point Dua played a song and some lyric said tere rang rangi gayi me sohneya and I had to sing loud, I thought of all love and beauty around me, and the biggest of all, I thought of him. One that I felt in all the sun’s warm embrace through out the day from my dad’s car.

I’ve been carrying you with me, and what an honour. To be seas apart and not feel distant from you for a second. What an honour.
