Even tho it all happened for shits and giggles and PURELY by chance, the Forger family has the Desmond’s CORNERED.

Damian is very much into Anya to the point that he would strap a bomb on his neck.

Melinda trusts and likes Yor so much that she is willing to spill the beans about her marriage to her husband, Loid Forger the psychiatrist; because she trusts Yor and by extension, her husband.

And of course, Twilight who has been watching Donovan’s each and every move .

So except for Demetrius, each Desmond has a Forger right on their tails.

If anything, DONOVAN MUST FEEL THREATENED BY THAT.

All this makes me feel that it’s about time Donovan would make a move which could harm the Forgers. This is scary. The stakes are HIGH.

Today's chapter was well.......awkward. but I think it perfectly captures the contrast between the Desmond and Forger family dinners.

But anyways.....

THEORY: DESMOND CAN DEFINITELY READ MINDS

Demetrius did not even have to ask his father and Donovan said exactly what Demetrius wanted him to say.

Moreover

THIS is the face of a man who has just now received some new information. And bro did not have ANY type of conversation at the dinner table

I think it's not even a theory anymore at this point. It's so obvious.

But this also means that he knows about twilight when he met him in Eden. Omg the stakes are HIGH

How the identity reveals will go (accd to me)

So today’s chapter was such a TREAT. but with this hugeee reveal, I think it’s kinda obvious now in which order the identity reveals will go

So today we got THIS

Now that we know that Donovan can read minds, it seems that the identity reveals will go in this order.

Anya

Yor

Twilight (probably in the last 10-20 chapters, would probably be the last conflict in the forger family)

Anya forger

it has become kind of obvious that now Twilight would be onto people who have been ‘rumoured’ to have telepathic abilities. He may stumble upon the case files of the experiments which happened and would find out about Anya, OR Anya would tell him herself out of good conscience like she told to Damian.(the latter is more likely in my opinion)

Twilight is NOT gonna let Melinda’s theory about Desmond slide. Especially because if it is true, then he AND the family he has built might end up in danger.

Yor forger

For Yor I think she would try to deny her ‘other job’ until she no longer can. She still thinks Loid would abandon her if she reveals this side of her so…

For me I think when Loid makes contact with Desmond for a second time, and Desmond is now even more sure of Twilight’s progress and intentions, he would do something to stop him. I think it’s twilight’s contact with Melinda that would make him take the step and he would send people to hurt him and by extension the Forger family.

And when Yor kicks everyone’s ass then she reluctantly tells her secret under the assumption that they attacked because of her.

Spy x Family Ch. 106: Violence

One of the things about having grown up in a less-than-ideal family is that, in the future, when you have your own family, you can build it differently.

We still don't know how Yor grew up but we do know that [Redacted] was in an abusive situation. It's easy to learn after seeing violence happen once and again, to do the same and say "that's what my dad used to do and I don't know better." However, there's also a different path...

Since there was very little dialogue, it may seem like not much happened but we learned a lot about the Desmonds in this chapter. Here are few observations about the Desmond:

It's very noticeable Donovan Desmond has absolute control over his family. Melinda clearly doesn't want to be there but she is there because she has no choice.

Violence is not always physical; he doesn't have to slap his kids into submission. Emotional and psychological violence do as much damage. Did you notice that "twitch" and those eyes?

That's fear. That's control. That's violence.

And you know what happens when there's fear? Well, the result is distance. There's so much space between them and they're supposed to be a "real" family:

I don't think Donovan Desmond wanted to have dinner with his family. He wanted to remind them who is the boss.

We still know very little about Donovan Desmond. Everything points out at him being the "big bad guy", however, Endo is a master of developing morally-gray characters. So my theory is that Donovan Desmond may turn out to be a good leader for his people and Ostania, maybe someone who tried to stop the way. However, he's also going to turn out to be a horrible father and husband. The opposite of our Loid Forger, who is a devoted father and loving husband (yes, even if he doesn't want to admit it).

I wonder if at some point we'll see Desmond lose control with one of the members of his family. Right now, no one even dares to talk to him, but maybe one day Damian (with Anya and his friend's influence) will be brave enough to attempt to talk to him. Believe it or not, he's a good candidate to step out of line and anger his father.

There are also some theories that say Donovan Desmond can read minds and I think it's a possibility. If that's the case, that means he already knows Twilight is a spy and is just letting WISE play a little before taking action. It's a scary possibility.

A final note: Those kids are better off living in the dormitory. Yeah, Damian may feel abandoned by his parents but look at this face!

At least in the dorms he's not being terrorized by his own dad and also, by seeing other kids and other families, he's also learning this isn't the standard. Hopefully in the future, when he has his own family, he'll choose to do things differently.

Y'all ever see anime couples THAT good that reading fanfiction about any one of them where the other isn't the main love interest seems like like...illegal?

It's like, for me, I'd look at both of them and feel "yeah, these two belong together no questions asked"

Henry and his wife: He did love her

This is kinda stating the obvious but yeah....

This arc RUINED me, it hurt to read it but moreover it ruined them as well. Henry and Martha I mean.

Henry did love Martha but realised his feelings late. He didn't want to get married, but he did and was a good husband. Even Martha says this.

I feel that Henry never told her his wife about Martha because she might feel guilty of ruining their story. We can see this here

Henry is crying. He is devastated. But he pulls himself away and fixes his face at the sight of his wife because he cannot let her know. Even Martha hadn't stopped her tears but there Henry was, all calm and composed at the sight of his wife.

I think even though he did NOT want to get married, he was a very good husband to Lucia.

Someone has GOT TO mention how fucking romantic and vanilla Aren Kuboyasu and Shun Kaido from The Disastrous Life of Saiki K are

Like y'all remember that episode when Aren got a love letter which was actually from a rival gang?? OMFG Aren was so happy about it and how he explained to Saiki that he would have ONLY one woman in his life and would marry her and all that!? Dude was planning a wedding and the kids' names c'mon. Like that is a romantic mind istg (fellow romantics assemble)

And how in this one episode(i forgot which one) Kaido is explaining what dating is to Nendo and the group is watching....like, seeing him blush over THE THOUGHT of holding hands omg. And he had totally lost it when he was JUST talking about kissing. Like yes we need men like you Kaido

Idrk but these two scenes made me realise how romantic these two characters are and how big of a simp I am for them :')

Spy x family manga spoilers

I would have LOVED getting Henry and Martha backstory if we weren't at such a crucial part in the manga's storyline. The last two chapters have been short stories which completely ignorewhat happened in the previous chapter. They're supposed to follow up a very important chapter where Anya tells Damian her secret. But no.

Not to mention that in this chapter we don't even see our Forger family for even a single panel.

It's just frustrating that after that critical chapter we've gotten ABSOLUTELY NOTHING which relates to it or moves the plot forward.

Whatever Endo's cooking I trust....but that doesn't mean I'm not disappointed by today's chapter.
