Gotta love when you don't know how to talk about a piece. So, a few weeks ago I drew this: the duel scene between Alanna of Trebond and Dain of Melor from In the Hand of the Goddess. I hadn't posted it, yet, because this is also the first piece for my new youtube channel, MouseWorks, where I post book discussions and art speedpaints/tutorials. The first video launched yesterday, which covers both the full, step-by-step of creating this illustration, and also my thoughts on the first two books of The Song of the Lioness by Tamora Pierce. I recently binged the Circle of Magic series by Tamora Pierce! I'm pretty happy with my interpretation of the characters (I feel like I could have made Tris fatter, but still better than that one cover, you know LOL), anyway Briar is the most trans, and Sandry is a Wasian.
