Sherlock is hurt

Mycroft finds a composer position for Sherlock at an Abbey, and with music, and visits from John, he struggles to find his way back to wholeness. This is a stellar story with spies, and falcons and flashbacks - so well written!

Sweet William by Joules Mer (joulesmer),   10 k, mature. John fingers were clumsy on his phone as he tapped out a text message to Sherlock: They were wrong: it’s a boy. I named him William. Mary is lost, and John is left to raise a child alone. Sherlock is  hurt, and finally two idiots realize some truths.

Observe, Control, Delete by Chryse, 9 k, mature. When Sherlock woke up in the hospital, again, alone, again, with the dullness of morphine lying over him like a smothering blanket, again, he had to close his eyes for a long, long moment. But then he gritted his teeth and reached to punch down the level on his PCA. If the only thing he could control was how much narcotic was being dumped into his system, then by God he would control it.

5 Times Dr. John Watson Touched Sherlock’s Bum and the 1 Time He Asked Him To by brage, 13 k, explicit. 5+1 fic in which the title is the summary. Loads of minor medical issues that leave poor Sherlock a bit wumped with each chapter, but no worries, John is an excellent doctor.

All the Best and Brightest Creatures by wordstrings,, 188 k, explicit. Sherlock sent Jim Moriarty to prison for killing Carl Powers at age ten. This is the story of the consequences. Warnings for violence, drugs, torture.

Ricochet by testosterone_tea, 6 k, explicit. Sherlock is injured by a stray bullet in an armed confrontation, and John is angry about it, right up until he finds out that the bullet that hurt Sherlock came from his gun. Guilt-ridden and ashamed, John meets Sherlock’s every ridiculous whim. But the ever-observant Sherlock is bound to figure it out sooner or later…

Vena Cava by SilentAuror, 27 k, explicit. Sherlock has been shot in the chest; John has been shot in the heart. Though everything is broken, they do their best to heal the wounds that Mary left on them both.
