I also lost the 5050 might dolphin towards the end of the banner at least I got 3 of her sub cat boy
I didn't even get to reach that I have 20 to pity. I had so many wishes saved (like 60). There's a Hoyo art competition and I will submit my art as a last ditch effort to get the prize of polychrome (I think 5k). And I guess the $300 too. But I assume I'll be a runner up if anything I've seen some great fanart for Jane Doe.
I just have to hope I don't lose the 50/50. I have 20 days.

I have a new fascination.
And also started yet another wip. At least this means I'll have plenty to post soon because a lot of my WIPs are 80% done.

I promise it will happen one day. May take a week, maybe up to a year. Hell maybe more. Art will be waiting for your return I'm sure.

The year is 2024 and people still try to talk about how traditional art is more valuable than digital, saying things like "traditional has more soul" and requires more work.
I'm sorry. What do you think digital art is??? You think people don't study their ass off? My digital skill 100% translate to traditional and I think that should say something. I am not alone in this either.

You know, it dawned on me. I should elaborate for those who *do not* know actually.
I am someone who has never used this method but this is what I am fairly certain this learning method is based upon, there's a website for it too:
Drawabox is a set of free exercise-based lessons that focus on the fundamentals - the skills you'll need to make sense of all the other resources and tutorials out there. First we focus on the basic mechanics of mark making, and how to use your arm. By the end, we develop a strong understanding of form, 3D space and construction.
The learning method is focused on lines, perspective and form, and it's done via box drawing primarily. With some line practicing.
The goal is to draw boxes, freehand, and having them just about follow along to a focal point. The importance is on freehanding this, so that when it comes to free form drawing you naturally use perspective to your advantage.
I hope this explanation makes sense. I did my best to give it a fair explanation. I had no idea this method existed until, uh, this year.
I am oh so curious:
Please feel free to talk about your experience as well. I am recently realizing I learned how to draw in a rather unorthodox way and am just very fascinated with learning methods right now and want to know more experiences.
If you didn't uses draw a box please say how you have learned to draw. Regardless of how long or if you are a professional or hobbyist. I'm just curious -ᄒᴥᄒ-

My artsy 2 cents.
These poses have always been like a photoshoot things to me. I've never understood the problem it isn't like they're a real person stuck in the pose for all eternity. All art drawn is metaphorically a camera man capturing the final shot.
And as someone that used myself as reference for years, yeah most things people claim are impossible are not informed, and the argument of impractical is dumb because it's a "photoshoot" imo.
Okay, I’ve become rather irked by how much the boobs-n-butt pose is so harped on, as if it’s some hilarious, impossible thing. These were done on a whim, so I apologize for the small/crappy photos and sketchy outlines. Once I find my camera again, I’d like to take some shots that show the whole body and how this pose actually works.
These are all practical positions, and they were all relatively comfortable to do and stay in for a good period of time. Even though the boobs-n-butt pose looks a little funny, it’s entirely plausible and anatomically correct (although it can be taken too far). So, don’t be afraid to draw it. Hopefully these photos help a little with drawing such positions!
EDIT: (again) Oh my, these notes. Well, I’m glad at least some people find these useful. Figured I’d add some drawings that show BOTH male and females in such positions.
