The Fanfic as Screenplay

I feel like I've never actually seen fanfics written in the style of screenplay before and honestly I think a lot of younger writers that are more versed in shows could write them a lot easier since it's mostly dialogue based and most of the content people write fics for already kind of follow that same structure. They also better lend themselves to song references and sudden transitions between scenes (CUT TO, and all that) . I've seen a lot of songfics in my day and I feel like it would feel less bizarre in the context of a screenplay or perhaps a musical script(though that's a different flavor than a screenplay, admittedly).

I dunno, just rambling I guess (and avoiding my creative writing homework that's past due LOL)

what do you guys think? Have you seen any?
