I like a few style tags, but if the tag section is too long, there's a much higher chance that i'll just skip the whole thing.

This is a shoutout to all the ao3 authors out there that use the tagging system to its fullest extent whenever they tag their fics. You all are the reason why there’s still good left in the world.

And to the author of the Sonic fanfiction I just found that only had seven (COUNT IT, SEVEN) tags, six of which were character tags and the seventh was a relationship tag, you made me feel many different things, but intrigued or curious was not one of those emotions.

I beg of you to put more of yourself out there.

I don't know if it's the consensus, but it is definitely an existing theory that the reason Messers exist is because, while there was no law restricting who could own a sword, there were laws restricting who could make one. Armsmiths and knifemakers were different guilds, and it's a theory that for some reason they drew the distinction between their trades based on the construction of the hilt (which would make sense, mind you; it makes sense that tradesmen define their good by how they're made), and when knifemakers wanted in on the self defense weapon action, they just started making really big knives.

iirc (it's been some time since i took number theory) 4 is also wanky; so for number theory the cases a lot of the time go odd primes, odd prime powers, 2, 4, powers of 2 (and composite numbers if that's applicable)

it is really funny in number theory seeing like. 1 million theorems about ODD primes and being like, a complete math newb like "why is it odd primes? aren't all primes odd, except 2" and then ur professor is like yeah 2 fucking sucks and like does not fit any of our proofs so we have to deal with it separately and etc. and they have like such vitriol for. prime number 2.
