it's also possible that you're not losing weight because your calorie deficit is too big, which makes your metabolism shut down! so calculate your basal& active metabolic rate and track your calorie intake. Cutting out carbs& eating enough protein helps a lot, too :)

This is what 2000 calories can look like at Chipotle, or at home.
I was reading the New York Times this morning and one of the quotes struck me. “It is the collapse of home cooking that directly led to the obesity epidemic.”
CHIPOTLE: Carnitas burrito (945), chips and guacamole (770), Coke (276).
HOME: Yogurt with fruit and nuts (210), toast and jam (85), coffee (2), beef stir-fry and farro (400), diet soda (0), pretzels (220), pear (100), chicken and arugula (490), Brussels sprouts and squash (55), water (0), wine (120), cookies (200)
The home cooked shot doesn’t depict clean eating or meals I’d eat everyday, but it does show that if you cook at home, you’re more likely to eat better and “eat more” (volume-wise) without a thought. It’s also cheaper!! Do you like to cook?
