There’s something so surreal about figuring out you’re trans. It’s like an ice cube being set on the counter for too long, until it’s just a pile or water. It tried its hardest to stay solid, but it melted because it couldn’t hold it anymore. I don’t hate my body, I don’t hate how other people see my body, it just feels wrong. I have no feeling in my skin where I should. I have no thoughts in my head anymore because it’s all consumed by “what if they find out”, “why can’t I just be okay with what I have”, and worst of all “what if you’re faking it.”

I am a control freak honestly, if something isn’t done the way I like it, I can’t handle it. Maybe that’s what makes figuring myself out so hard. I want to be comfortable, and nothing about my existence right now is even close to that. Every morning I dread getting out of bed because it means I have to get dressed, I stall showering as long as I can so I don’t have to endure what that comes with. I cut my hair off until everyone thinks I’m a boy but I can’t even enjoy that because my family will eventually correct them. I bind my chest but there’s always a little voice telling me that everyone can see through it.

I’m tired. I’m so so tired.

So what do I do? Honestly I have no idea. I just keep living because I know I’ll be comfortable someday when I’m fully melted and I can happily tell people who I am. I suck at waiting but It’ll be worth it.

I'd truly be the worst person to stick into a timeloop because I'd really just spend the first 5 years catching up on my book tbr, the next 7 on all the movies and shows that've Been On My List for ages, and then another decade on ao3. like sure nothing may stick but my memories will and i can just go into a supermarket to get snacks and wine each day, and i have art to indulge in. like thanks for the hints on how to get out but respectfully, I am busy

Funny how the media glamorizes neurodivergence until they see what it’s actually like. Like when I almost had a full on meltdown because my storage boxes squeaked wrong, or when I’m too restless to fall asleep and I want to bite something until my teeth crack, or when I’ve been nonstop clicking my tongue for the past few days until my tongue is sore.
