There is a dance that appears out of nowhere, steps we don't know we know until using them to calm our baby. This dance is something we learned in our sleep, from our own hearts, from our parents, going back and back through all of our ancestors. Men and women do the same dance, and acquire it without a thought. Graceful, eccentric, this wavelike sway is a skilled graciousness of the entire body. - Louise Erdrich https://www.instagram.com/p/BqR2lpPDSmH/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1s0e9fxfpi6hx

There is a kind of immersion, a soaking in bliss, that happens in those moments after a baby is fed. At times, a mutual gazing arises, a wonderfully peaceful feeling and sense of palpable connectedness and devotion. - Myla & Jon Kabat-Zinn https://www.instagram.com/p/BnQqd5gA0JF/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1tzwtnoecf994

‘as you are ’ says the universe. 'after…’ you answer. 'as you are ’ says the universe. 'before…’ you answer. 'as you are ’ says the universe. 'when…’ you answer. 'as you are’ says the universe. 'how…’ you answer. 'as you are’ says the universe. 'why…’ you answer. 'because you are happening now, right now, right at this moment and your happening is beautiful, the thing that both keeps me alive and brings me to my knees, you don’t even know how breathtaking you are, as you are’, says the universe through tears. - as you are/you are the prayer by Nayyirah Waheed

The Muslim got the word "Allah", the Christian the word "God", the Buddhist the word "Enlightenment", the Yogi "Sat-Cit-Ananda" (unattached being-unity-bliss) and the atheist "Cosmos"... They were arguing about their prayers and could not agree on a verbal level. So they decided to end their conflict and prefer to concentrate on the spiritual practice. They lived many years together on the mountain top... And they great light transformed them. They saw the light in all beings and all things of the world. They realised that they are all brothers and sisters. May we stop all religious wars in the world. May we build a golden age of love, peace and happiness on earth.
- Yoga Basic Knowledge, Nils Horn

THE PRECIOUS NO To hold the word NO in my mouth like a good coin, something valued, something possible. To teach the NO to our daughters. To value their NO more than their compliant YES. To celebrate NO. To grasp the word NO in your fist and refuse to give it up. To support the boy who says NO to violence, the girl who will not be violated, the woman who says NO, NO, NO, I WILL NOT. To love the NO, to cherish the NO, which is so often our first word. NO - the means to transformation. - Louise Erdrich, The Blue Jays Dance
