he’s nervous the moment he walks in. hair gelled back. brought flowers. said “good morning, it’s so nice to meet you, ma’am and sir” with his best formal tone like he’s applying for a job in your heart. 

and then he sees your mom. 

“oh, uh. wow. you’re… really tall. like. wow.” 

and THEN she says, in a voice deeper than aiku’s: “yoichi, huh? cute name.” 

he flinches so hard he almost drops the flowers. 

and just when he thinks he’s safe, here comes your dad. looking like a garden gnome in a cardigan. “hi sweetheart! who’s this cutie pie ~” 

isagi’s jaw drops. he actually glances at you like you just set him up in a prank show. 

"wait. wait, wait, wait. this isn't like a roleplay thing? this is real?" 

your mom sits down. the chair creaks like it’s fighting for its life. your dad pours him tea and says: “so, how are things going between you and my little girl ~” in the most sugary anime schoolgirl voice. 

isagi short-circuits. he can’t stop calling them sir AND ma’am at the same time. he ends up saying “sir-ma’am” like twelve times before he’s just staring at his rice in spiritual crisis. 

he's a good boy. but he’s never recovering from this.

you told him to “just be polite.” that’s it. that was your only warning. 

he shows up dressed in black from head to toe like he’s meeting royalty. rings the doorbell like it’s a funeral. mentally prepared to get interrogated by your “scary dad.” 

instead, a 7'1 beast woman with the voice of a retired mafia boss opens the door and goes, “you the boyfriend? get in here.” 

rin freezes like a cat in water. 

“this is your mom?” he asks, quietly, while taking off his shoes like he’s entering a shrine. 

she pats his head like a toddler, and his hair flattens. his eye twitches. 

then your dad walks in like a disney woodland creature and goes, “aww! look at his cute little scowl!” 

rin sits down like he’s in enemy territory. won’t touch the pancakes. won’t speak unless spoken to. your mom keeps making him eat more. she piles six sausage links onto his plate while telling stories about how she used to be a bouncer at underground nightclubs. rin tries to nod politely but ends up choking on his water. 

by the end of it, your dad hugs him (barely reaches his chest) and rin just stands there like a pole. 

he mutters “thank you for breakfast,” bows ninety degrees, and walks out like he’s escaping the mafia. 

you ask if he wants to come again. he says “never.” 

kaiser michael

kaiser walks in like he owns the house. wearing cologne. winked at you in front of the door. 

“watch this, baby. parents love me.” 

and then he meets your mom. “hi, you must be– HOLY– are you standing on something???” your mom’s like “no.” 

your dad then walks in and goes, “oh my! what a handsome young man!” 

kaiser blinks. leans down. “aw thanks, little fella. you must be her… wait are you her dad???” 

he’s panicking. trying to hold it together. your dad keeps calling him pet names like “sweet cheeks.” 

your mom keeps staring him down like she’s waiting for him to say something dumb so she can drop-kick him through the floorboards. 

he tries to crack jokes to lighten the mood, but your mom just grunts and your dad giggles. 

kaiser’s entire power complex starts crumbling in real time. 

by the time breakfast ends, he’s standing perfectly straight and saying “thank you for the meal ma’am sir sir-ma’am thank you again so much goodbye now–” 

you tease him in the car and he goes, “you didn’t tell me your mom could crush my skull like a grape and your dad sounds like a pixie on helium.” “and you still wanna date me?” “yeah, but now i understand what fear feels like.” 

shidou ryusei

you made a mistake. a big one. you invited shidou to meet your parents. 

and he walks in, sees your tall, terrifying mom with her wrestler voice and goes: “holy MILF.” dead silence. your mom’s like “what did you say?” shidou: “i said hi.” you: “HE SAID HI. HE SAID HI!!” 

then your five-foot-tall dad enters and shidou SCREECHES. “AWWWWWWWW! WHO’S THIS LITTLE GUY?! CAN I PUT HIM IN MY POCKET??” 

your dad is trying to act serious, trying to be intimidating, but his voice is literally chipmunk-pitched. 

he threatens to “cut shidou's tongue out” but it comes out like: “i’ll CUT your tongue OUT mister! :x” 

shidou’s wheezing. he loves it here. 

he keeps calling them “lean beef patty and vertically challenged man.” 

he picks your dad up like a toddler. your dad slaps him. shidou calls him “scrappy.” 

your mom keeps trying to maintain order, but she ends up arm-wrestling shidou at the table while your dad yells in the background. 

it ends with someone bleeding, someone crying, and shidou asking if he can come back next weekend. 

you say no. your mom says yes. 

itoshi sae

he shows up with a bottle of wine and a smug little smirk. thinks this is gonna be easy. 

you open the door and there’s your 7’1 hulk mom towering like a tree. “you must be sae. come in.” 

he blinks once. twice. glitches slightly. “… you play basketball or something?” 

your mom laughs and it shakes the furniture. your dad pops out from the kitchen and goes: “helloooOOOoOO ~ welcome in ~” sounding like a squeaky cartoon witch. sae turns slowly. his soul leaves his body. 

he thinks he can handle it. he’s wrong. 

your dad starts asking him questions like, “what are your intentions with my daughter?” while slicing strawberries in the airiest, softest voice known to man. 

your mom says, “if you hurt her, i will snap you in half.” and he BELIEVES her. 

he's quiet the whole breakfast, just sipping his coffee with the faintest “wtf” in his eyes. your dad keeps trying to show him pictures of his crochet projects. your mom casually mentions she once bench-pressed a horse. 

sae excuses himself to the bathroom and just stands in there, staring at the mirror, whispering: “they’re both lying. they have to be lying.” 

nagi seishiro

you tell him he’s meeting your parents for breakfast and he just goes, “ugh. do i have to?” 

shows up in sweatpants. hair barely brushed. brings nothing. yawns in front of your front door. 

then your mom opens it and he's instantly blinking up at a 7'1 goddess built like an olympic weightlifter. “you’re the boyfriend?” nagi, still half-asleep: “... whoa.” 

your dad skips over like a cartoon bunny and goes, “you’re even cuter than she described!!” 

nagi actually recoils. “why is his voice like that?” he whispers to you like your dad isn’t two feet away. 

breakfast starts and nagi just sits there bewildered. your mom keeps slamming platters of food in front of him like he’s a growing boy. 

your dad asks him questions like, “do you love our daughter ~” in the softest falsetto. 

nagi's chewing toast and goes, “mhm. yeah. she’s cool.” 

your mom nearly flips the table. “‘cool’? that’s it??” 

nagi almost runs out mid-bite.

mikage reo

reo was prepared. or so he thought. 

wore the designer shirt. brought your mom a bouquet and your dad a gift basket. even practiced polite bowing. 

and then your mom opened the door and he saw the titanic-sized amazon with a jawline sharper than his entire stock portfolio. 

he smiles. politely. “hello, ma’am. it’s an honor–” your mom interrupts him with “sit down.” he sits down. immediately. 

your dad prances in and goes, “i’ve seen you on TV! you’re sooooo handsome~” and reo’s eye twitches. “is… is that helium? what is going on?” 

your mom watches him like a hawk. your dad keeps complimenting his eyebrows. reo is spinning mentally. 

then your dad casually asks, “so, do you and my daughter sleep together?” with the most twinky little voice ever.
