The much needed hiatus: discovering myself for the first time
When I graduated from college, I decided it was time to make some changes in my life; the question, however, was where to start. I decided that working on my self image was the best choice, and with that, began a much needed weight loss journey that I am extremely proud of, and have no regrets in doing so.
Much of college was spent accumulating bad habits over constant junk food, late night meal runs, lack of exercise, and, of course, eating huge portions of food at one time. I was running myself ragged, and couldn't even recognize who I was anymore, whenever I looked in the mirror. Thus, it started, my weight loss journey.
I started by joining a gym, and with joining a gym, I made healthier eating habits; by no means did I cut out everything, completely, but hey, I remained in constant control of my food intake, at all times. Alongside my aunt, we were able to motivate and push each other to stay on track. Needless to say, she pretty much helped me save my life. I owe her so much; words could never explain how much she truly means to me.
From May 2012 to now, I am so proud of my results.

RANT
While working tonight, I came across a very, very angry customer; she decided, for whatever reason, that she was going to come in and get a sandwich, TEN minutes before she had to be at work. When I took every sandwich out f the oven and she kept screaming, "IS THAT MINE, IS THAT MINE?!" I decided to let her know, calmly, that I was working as fast as possible, not to mention she had SEVEN people ahead of her. Then, she decided to tell me that she wasn't, "a fucking idiot like me," and had a real job to go to, because she wasn't dumb and had a college degree. Her exact words were, "us college graduates with real jobs got work to do and shit!" BITCH SAY WHAT? THEN I HAD TO LET THAT DUMB BITCH KNOW THAT I WAS A COLLEGE GRADUATE, WITH TWO DEGREES, AND NOBODY WAS GOING TO TALK TO ME LIKE I WAS A CHILD. Yeah, she shut the fuck up, then. Oh, by the way, her "real job," with her college degree, is an overnight stocker at Walmart. I saw her when I went in, after I got off. BITCH

Wow, haven't really blogged in a while
Hello beautiful people! I hope all of you have had an amazing summer, and are finally winding down, preparing for fall. I must say, it's been eventful. Between graduating, moving out, job hunting. And starting my natural hair blog, I've kept myself occupied to the fullest. Not to mention trying to get Alana Nichole Photography up and running in the 757! It has certainly been a journey that has had many ups and downs, but I thank God for everything he's done for me, regardless. I know that there are so many things that I can't control, but I've found stability in my hectic life. God bless you all. Much love.
