I’ve been thinking about Ororo and Logan lately and was looking through Giant sized (2020) and I didn’t even notice how sad Logan looked when Ororo was unconscious.

The new era had started and the whole nonsense with the polycule distracted me I didn’t even realise everyone was comforting Logan, him standing in front of the only thing keeping him away from seeing one of the most important people in his life even before Jean and Scott came in, Scott standing by his side and sitting with him to support him, Logan holding onto a flower while he waits… Ororo loves flowers and the flower reminds me of this moment…

He’s always been very adamant about not treating her like a damsel in distress cause he knows she can handle herself. There’s only been a hand full of time he’s looked so sad for Ororo , so the fact that everyone is comforting him and he waited for her makes me mad we don’t get more of Rolo interacting together… I don’t think they’ve interacted in the main comics once in 2022.

Let’s hope for 2023… they deserve to finish that kiss from X of Swords.

Tidbits on Ororo and Logan's family...

Kids oldest to youngest:

Laura Jessica Evan Kendall Ayotunde Nathan Grace

~ After Laura decided to be with the X-Men team Logan and Ororo decided to take her in as if she was their own though they had 2 - 3 biological kids already. She wasn't sure what to think of it at first but she adjusted quick and learned to like the family life.

~ Jessica once stopped a robbery without even thinking about it and set both her parents off when they heard of it because of what could've happened. She just kept telling them "But I was fine!" every time they brought it up.

~ Evan often hung things on the wall by pinning them with his spikes sometimes getting himself in trouble with his parents and other people at times too. He stopped putting everything anywhere but his room once his dad threatened to take his skateboard away.

~ Ayotunde likes to imagine he's the toughest one around sometimes and likes to talk big to people that pick on him in school which often gets him beat every now and then. His attackers find themselves being chased to their homes by his older half sister Laura who makes a habit of tearing open the backs of their sweaters or coats to make a point not to hurt her little brother.

~ Laura once decided to color her hair slightly to be like her little sister since she was a little tan and could blend in as one of their blood children rather than just her dad's once estranged kid who wasn't even conceived naturally. But her parents let her know that they both loved her like she was their own from the beginning anyway.

~ As an adult people often confuse Nathan with his Father because they look identical the only way you can tell them apart is that he looks younger and is about 1 and a half feet taller than him, same goes for Grace and her Mother but the only way you can tell them apart is that she's slightly shorter than her mom by a couple inches and has a few black streaks in her hair.

~ When she and her parents would play together Kendall thought she actually scared her mom and dad a few times, but when they spoiled it and she found out she was more cute than scary she locked herself in her room for an hour and wouldn't come out because her little mind was too devastated.

~ Grace is Logan's favorite little one at least when she was little, her older sister Kendall looked identical to her mother as well but her baby sister was cuter than all of them especially when she wanted to be. Her parents (especially her dad could turn to mush in her hands.

Literally the best kind of relationship is one formed overtime... thus this is my favorite Disney princess movie and RoLo (Ororo/Logan) is and will always be my favorite couple as Edna said "throughout the known universe and to the end of time" so there...

Why I Headcanon Belle from Beauty and the Beast as Asexual

Some of you seeing this post may be thinking 'But how could Belle be asexual when the whole point of the movie was her falling in love with the Beast?' Just for clarification, asexuality and aromantic mean different things. Someone who is asexual feels little to no sexual attraction, wherein someone who is aromantic feels little to no romantic attraction. That being said, upon rewatching Disney's Beauty and the Beast several times, it's come to my attention just how little signs of sexual attraction Belle conveys throughout the film, and being ace myself, I find how much I relate to her now that I have a better understanding of my own sexuality.

At the beginning of the film, it's established that Belle is not really interested in finding a relationship with anyone in her village. She is an introverted bookworm, and she has a hard time connecting with the other villagers. At the same time however, she's happy just reading her stories all day and helping her father in his shop. She's expressed a longing for a connection (but not neccasarily of the romantic/sexual kind) in her song 'Belle' and the reprise.

There is also the subject of Gaston. Gaston has been established to be the most handsome man in the village, and all the women want him. All except Belle. Not once during any of Belle's interactions with Gaston did she show any signs of attraction towards him. Only disgust and annoyance. The closest sign of 'attraction' on Belle's end was when she admitted to him being handsome, but only as a followup to what her father said about Gaston, and immediately rebuttled with a clear "He's not for me." Additionally, there was an exchange between the three blonde women that Belle must have something wrong with her for not being attracted to Gaston (a common thing allos have said about ace people BTW).

Now you may be thinking 'so she wasn't attracted to Gaston, but what about the Beast? She eventually falls in love with him, so she must've had some form of attraction right?' Those of you who think this forget that the whole point of the story was that Belle falls in love with the Beast DESPITE his looks. When she first meets him, she's repulsed by him, even going so far as to say that she wants nothing to do with him. It isn't until the Beast begins to show his true kind self, that she begins to form a connection with him. During the song "Something There", when Belle and the Beast begin to form a true friendship, she sings the lyrics 'True that he's no Prince Charming' meaning that she still does not find him physically attractive. She follows the lyrics with 'But there's something in him that I simply didn't see.' This shows that although she still finds his appearance jarring, she realizes that he is more than what he appears to be, and so her budding attraction towards him is not physical/sexual, but rather platonic (at least at this point in the story).

As established at the movie's prologue, the Beast's curse can only be broken when he learns to love someone, and earn that person's love in return. Belle and the Beast's relationship continues to grow throughout the film, but Belle does not truly realize she loves him until the end of the film, when the curse finally breaks. Before that point, her feelings for the Beast were platonic, and she refers to him as her 'friend' various times beforehand. During the scene when she does confess her love for him, it was after he had risked his life for her, and after he had spared Gaston when he had tried to kill him. Belle had fallen in love with the Beast because she was attracted to who he was, not what he looked like. Even after the curse had broken, and he had transformed back into a handsome prince, Belle looked more bewildered and confused upon seeing him rather than showing attraction to his new form. She had to look into his eyes to recognize that the man who stood before her was in fact the Beast she had fallen in love with. It was only then that she lovingly kissed him.

In conclusion, I believe Belle from Disney's Beauty and the Beast shows signs of being ace-spec (and possibly demiromantic since she had not fallen in love with the Beast until she had gotten to know him as a person). She showed no interest in the most sexually appealing man in her village, and instead fell in love after forming a true connection with someone who was not conventionally attractive. Language things...

Everyone at the mansion using their native language their way:

~ Scott walked around the corner once to see Kurt going off on an imaginary person in German

~ Jean often had to talk Rahne down telepathically from cussing in Gaeilge when she was pissed off at someone (even in her wolf/werewolf form)

~ Evan got really irritated with Rogue a few times and snapped at her for being so reclusive to which she responded in a very heavy and full southern accent and chased him down threatening to absorb all the color off of him (not the same thing but still funny as ever)

~ Ororo a few times started talking to herself in her native African tongue because of the stress that was put on her as a teacher and from her son (yes he is) to which sometimes Logan would enter into the conversation with her in the same language and help her through it, and when he wasn't available Jean, Scott, Beast or Charles would come to her aid. (Because everyone loves her)

~ Colossus found holding on the phone was a true pain in the butt and threw the phone down a couple times yelling at it in Russian. Kitty and a few of the other girls found his firm voice a little intimidating, but attractive at the same time...

~ Kitty would often find herself speaking in Hebrew when she was scared to which the others gawked at her slightly because they didn't know she actually spoke Hebrew.

~ Logan resorted to grunts and growls whenever he was mad leaving everyone to fill in the blanks on what he was grumbling about. Kitty, Rogue, Charles or Ororo were the only ones who could really get him to open up.

~ Once Xavier got extra upset with his ex-wife and started speaking in French randomly Logan started listening in because he was by the office and Charles shut off the extra sensitive parts of his brain to sneak up behind him and scare the absolute crap out of him to which he almost turned into pure energy with how fast he ran the opposite direction. The handicapped man then wheeled himself back into his office proudly

~ Hank would often lose track of how poetic he was being, until one day when all the students in one of his classes decided to speak to him in nothing other than poetry and ancient English making him so happy that he had a creepily huge smile on his face for the entire time which sent some of the students chills they couldn't get rid of every time they saw him after that...

~ Jean would always get caught up in having telepathic conversations with everyone when she was feeling sad or sick, it got annoying that everyone couldn't hear her at times so some of them just told her to talk to them out loud when she was going to converse with them in general.

I know I forgot some people, I didn't mean to, there's so may characters though... 😅

I’ve started drabbling in RoLo again. Nothing substantial, but I’ve been catching up on the comics and whoa–what a mixed bag. Part shit show/Part amazing arcs. At any rate, I know that Storm is leaving the Marauders soon, and since I was born RoLo trash and will die RoLo trash I’ve been playing in the sandbox.

Anyone notice how they've changed Storm?

Is anyone else annoyed with how they've been changing Storm's appearance over the years?

I mean she's African, black African... and it seems like to me anyway that in some ways that they do her in the comics and such that her skin tone has been turned lighter and lighter, a couple times it was almost white which to me is insane.

I'm not upset because they're just changing any old character, but because it's freaking Storm for crying out loud... who is fyi one of the MOST prominent characters for the black community. You can't do that!

It's not a good thing to take a character who is a very serious role model for African American people and change them all of a sudden, especially that characteristic!

I don't know if anyone else is upset about this, but I am, I think that the original Storm we had who was darker skinned was perfect... there was no reason to change her in my mind...
