Me recommending Torchwood to other people

I just finished watching long story short and wow. It made me cry 2 times and I do not cry easily.

I do have to say this: Almost all of the characters, and I mean pretty much everyone except the dad, yoshi and hannah, were, in their own separate ways, completely insufferable. Shira was extremely petty and obsessive, Kendra was an intolerable workaholic, Avi was in denial and unable to confront issues when they came up and Naomi was... a lot. But they were all very flawed in such a human way. And they were all still loved. And they fought with each other. And they tried to be better sometimes, but other times flaws are just flaws. Personality traits. They don't change and they can't. All the other characters could do was grow around them. For me that was the most beautiful part of the show. To be loved when you are not a delight to be around? A schnook is entitled.

one of my favorite parts of watching long story short is seeing how raphael bob-wakberg's writing skills have grown since bojack horseman. his jokes and angst were already good but now it's just,,, wow

Half the country was ready to burn the entire country down over a lie meant to demonize a tiny minority, and now the other half is strongly considering jumping in on the bandwagon.

When all of this is over and everyone pretends they were against it the whole time (or tries to pretend they just didn't know any better), those of us still remaining will have to keep these receipts and make sure anyone that played along with this is never allowed a position of power again.
