What is TMA Commissions For Gaza?

You can get small TMA commissions (a little drawing or short fanfic) in exchange for donating to 1 of 10 Gofundme's of Palestinians in Gaza (starting May 17th)

There are about 60 artists signed up already who have volunteered to work for free for this to happen. Until May 16th, you can join too!

How can I participate as an artist?

How can I commission?

1: Donate to one of the 10 gofundme's. (any amount) 2: Fill out the commission form and describe what art you want! 3: And now we wait. We don't know how many commissions each artist will take on so please be patient💚

Where does the money go?

We, the organizers and artists of TMA commissions for Gaza, gain no money from this. We ask participants to donate to 1 of these 10 Gofundme's by Gazans who are trying to survive and evacuate Gaza. 5 of these Gofundmes are on the Operation Olive Branch list and the other 5 are friends and family of one of our organizers. The funds are needed for expenses such as medical care, food and first and foremost to pay for crossing the border to Egypt.

Why only 10 Gofundme's?

We hope to be more effective when focusing on just a small number of Gofundme's and not for example the whole Operation Olive Branch list. Providing a smaller number of places to donate to may also help donators to not get overwhelmed by the amount of people who need their help. The last saint to be canonized in our post-eyepocalypse religion! Jonathan Sims, the one who witnessed your suffering and sought to end it by any means necessary. He was the only person in the world to intimately know each person’s special hell, so who else would you turn to when it seems like no one else truly understands your pain? (Religion is always a terrible substitute for therapy, but I doubt there would be enough therapists in the world for 7 billion clients)

In the end it doesn’t matter if he’s a tragic hero or a redeemed monster; that’s a question for the theologians.

The next person to be sanctified in our new post-eyepocalypse religion: Saint Martin, the Deliverer. He would be a heroic figure to those left behind: he called for the smiting of monsters, he severed the link between the Fears and the world, and he saved everyone from certain death. I’m sure the nuance of the situation is (as always) totally lost on our new faithful followers.

Next up, Melanie! I could see her being a sort of Archangel Michael, known for liberating and defending those trapped in the domains. She also was the only one to free herself from the entities after being trapped by the Eye, so it only stands to reason that she’d be the patron saint of freedom.

I’ve always imagined that after the Eyepocalypse, a number of people wouldn’t really want to go back to their religions that existed in the Before Times. BUT what if the not-a-cult expanded to become an actual real-life religion-- I mean, they did actually save the world, and their prophecies did end up coming true.

Ok so I am very invested in the idea that Elias Bouchard, in the course of spying on literally everyone, was extremely focused on making sure all of his employees were up to date on their eye exams

I’m just imagining him getting increasingly frustrated at trying to See through Tim’s blurry-ass eyes before marching him to the nearest shop to get a pair of dang glasses

Some workplaces have in-house nurses or massage therapists. The Magnus Institute has an in-house optometrist
