Our class will teach how to begin a story, how to end a story, the messy middle of the story, and in our final class we will put everything together.
This storytelling class will help with all types of storytelling. Whether you're working on a play, a novel, a movie script, or a story to tell in front of a live audience, you will find something to help you bring your project to life.
We've worked with hundreds of storytellers and helped them share their true stories on the Testify stage.
Everyone tells stories. You tell them at work, with your friends, on a date, on a job interview, to your kids, to your significant other. Everyone tells stories, but not everyone tells a good story.
A good story isn't about running into a burning building and saving a box of kittens, although that would be a good story. A good story is also about the quiet times in our lives. The joy in holding someone's hand, the wonder of a dog's smile, the kindness of being let into traffic on the freeway.
These moments make good stories because they mean something to the storyteller. What brings your joy or sadness is a great story. What makes you stop, and think is a great story. Anything that brings a smile to your face, or a tear to your eye, makes a great story.
The Storytellers Studio will help make you a better storyteller. Storytellers Studio | Testify ATX

Music has a way of triggering memories. Good ones, bad ones. Sometimes a melody can soothe the broken heart. Sometimes it's a reminder of where we've been. Sometimes it's a warning of what not to do again, or gives us strength to survive, grounds us in the moment.
Director Jordan Peele says the difference between comedy and horror is the soundtrack. The music decides whether you laugh or cry, or perhaps a combination of the two.
Music sneaks into our lives in many different ways. These are those stories.
**NOTE performances may contain strong language and adult content.**
Doors open around 7:00 pm. This is a general admission show, arrive early to assure you have a seat.

Please join Testify in welcoming Holly Richardson to the Testify stage. She'll be sharing her story, "Heat Waves" for our storytelling show, True Colors.
You can get your tickets here: https://www.facebook.com/share/1PZREUtGsA/
Born in Massachusetts with family ties to California, Holly has called Austin home for the past seven years, where she balances her career as a creative storytelling and brand manager in the health & wellness space. Outside of office life, she can be found trail running, soaking up the sun at Barton Springs, or teaching yoga. Holly thrives on challenging herself beyond her comfort zone—whether conquering trail races or conquering her fears by speaking to crowds—always pursuing growth and trying to leave the world a little bit better than how she found it. Fun fact: Holly discovered Testify ATX through a hinge date when she told the guy she was looking to improve her public speaking skills, and he told her about it. She hasn't looked back since.
