Sneak peek for a future character in a future story. I'm not 100% sold on the design. They're too spikey in some places and yet not spikey enough in others. The rays are meant to be like thistle thorns, but they look just a little too leaf-like. I want them to look like a walking weapon. That if you try to touch them, you'll get hurt. I won't say who it is, but I will say that the rays are real. They are not attached to the helmet. The helmet has slots for the rays to fit through.

I'll be going on hiatus until September. That includes fan art, fan fiction, let's plays, and so on. There are a lot of things I need to get done this month, and sadly, I do all of these things for free. But hopefully, when I'm back, there will be a new schedule in regards to when things come out.

Does anyone find this interesting? Cause I do. I love coming up with new fonts and fancy text. And knowing what the text looks like was the linch pin of this illustration.

I started with something almost scifi and eventually landed on groovy bubble letters instead. I literally typed 'groovy text' into google to find my inspiration. It also gave me the idea to give everyone earbuds and headphones. Just everyone chilling in a circle, listening to some tunes.

I drew the final version with the pen tool to make the lines nice and crisp.

A little late, but here is the final chapter of Star Sphere Radio!

IT'S DONE.

This is a big deal for me, as this was one of my favorite stories to write. I love the Starsphere and look forward to writing more stories about it!

And if you can't tell from the ending, yes, Solar's Sun is alive! You'll have to wait and see how that story plays out. Here's a hint: Sunday's Child by Von Hertzen Brothers (which inspired the title of this chapter) is also Sunday's character theme song.

But that will have to wait. The next posts will be art and side stories/one-shots.

And for this chapter, I drew "The Daycare Triplets."

I don't want to give too much away, as I have plans for these characters, but I can share a few details...

Sunshine is her dimension's version of Earth. In her dimension, Moon and Earth were created first, and Sunshine was created last. Her backstory is almost identical to that of our Earth.

Sundew is transgender. I pictured her still being voiced by Invisible Davis, but the voice he usually uses for women. She's a total diva and the resident expert on anything fashion.

Moonlight never had a sun. She and her brother are both Moons, although it was her brother who had the kill code. Though she left her dimension, Moonlight wears her brother's hat as a memento.

Spoilers for Crescent's identity under the cut!

Crescent is in fact... Frank. Or as some call them--- Fork Face.

But unlike Frank, Crescent is a normal animatronic. They were built as a replacement daycare attendant after Solar left his dimension. However, their original creator was, well, a lazy idiot. They're attempt to copy Moon's model was shoddy at best and they didn't bother giving Crescent a working voicebox. Overall, Fazbear saw Crescent as a failed copy, but they shipped him off to the Pizzaplex anyway because Fazbear is cheap.

Crescent was sure he would be disassembled, just like other replacements before him. Luckily, Julia Dewitt was now running the daycare. She immediately connected with Crescent and taught him ASL, and defended him when people complained about his appearance. Both of them ran the daycare together. When Julia quit Fazbear, Crescent went with her.

Months later, Crescent is now a member of the Star Sphere security team. He acts as Julia's bodyguard when she leaves the Sphere. He considers her his best friend. However, he's still nervous about showing his face to new people and often wears his large cloak.

The song of the chapter's title, 'Sugar Crash', is about Julia and Crescent, their friendship, and their struggles.

For chapter 3 of Star Sphere Radio, I decided to draw Gregory Wolf, who reported the 'weather' in Chapter 1.

Backstory time: If you've watched the Roxanne and Gregory show for a few years, you'll know that Roxanne's dad is a werewolf. And that Roxanne is ALSO a werewolf. There was a big arc about Gregory wanting to become part of the 'wolfpack' that went completely off the rails, and Gregory decided he didn't want to be a werewolf.

But in THIS Gregory's dimension, he DID become a werewolf! He's also an adult here. All that werewolf magic made him much more buff and hairy. After his Roxanne died, Gregory decided to start a new life on the Star Sphere. He even grew a familial connection to a Roxanne from the plushie dimension. The two have become inseparable.

After much thought, I've decided to do letplays biweekly instead of weekly. The letsplays are more of a hobby, & I don't have enough subscribers to justify doing it weekly. This way, I have more time for larger projects, & I can build a nice buffer. Roots will continue next week!

The art for this story will be more sketchy and showcase different members of the Star Sphere. Here we have Julia Dewitt with one version of her gauntlets. I still haven't decided on what her gauntlets look like, so think of this as a placeholder for the final thing.

This was a complicated one. I originally drew this several years ago, back when I was planning to start Let's Plays again. It was also the first large drawings I had done in a long time. As a result, I experimented with various tools, including different ways to use the masking tool, researching various clothing styles for my character, and creating a multitude of mini thumbnails to determine the color, composition, and size. The mountains and logo are from official Rustylake artwork, and the hotel itself is traced. Everything else is hand-drawn by me.

That plan fell through until this year. I kept most of the thumbnail but redrew the figure. Here is the old version:

An interdimensional radio station visits the Security Breach Show dimension, and the Celestial Family takes full advantage of it! But while everyone else kicks back and requests some new tunes, Solar learns that an old friend is trying to send him a message. Can he decode it in time? And will the news they bring change Solar's future with the celestial family forever?

Does anyone remember those old ipod comercials from the early 2000s? Yeah, those were a bit of an inspiration for this on.

I wanted to show more of the figures, but it just didn't work with the title. But I think it turned out well. I was planning to fully render and shade the characters, but it came off as a little too much. So, only basic coloring for this one. Also, the color scheme is based on a VERY specific character of importance in the story!

Solar was the hardest to color. Dude might be called orange, but he's more red than yellow and red is a PAIN to color with!
