About your post about para flag pins, dude I wish. The map flag is too recognizable, but like. I wish I could have a sign that someone is para friendly, especially for looking for a partner. I have gotten to the point where I won't even consider dating someone unless I know they're at least para friendly. I wish we could have some kind of site or something for us, a big community (that is STRICTLY anti contact, ahem) or like little signs where we're like "I know what you are" or something. A para friend making/dating app, discord server, website, etc. sigh. I would DIE OF HAPPINESS if I saw someone using para flags IRL. 🥃

I gave up dating people who aren't pro para too! It kind of sucks, but I'd rather not date someone who most likely wants me to die.

Tumblr's pretty good for making paraphile friends (I would not look for people to date on Tumblr though).

I HATE HATE HATE that I would get treated like shit for having paras, especially a few that I know were caused by my CSA. It just if not fucking fair that as a result of my abuse, thoughts I have IN MY FUCKING HEAD that I am VIOLENTLY against acting on for myself or others, that I am viewed as a disgusting degenerate that deserves to fucking die. Why. What the fuck did I even do? Why? Why? I have done NOTHING to harm children, dead people, animals, or anyone. I have never raped, killed, or tortured. People WITHOUT those attractions do that all the fucking time. People without paras rape and kill. So why am *I* the monster for a trauma response?

Decided to put it in an ask for people who feel the same because you're not alone. It isn't fair. You're right for feeling frustrated.🥃

It is very frustrating. It feels like something people should understand, yet they don't. We get blamed for things that happened to us that we couldn't control. It feels backwards.

People hear that you're a paraphile and immediately assume you're that way because you're just inherently a bad person, and they don't stop to think that maybe it's because of something that happened to them. It's unfair!

But I have a lot of hope that more people will start to understand paraphilias, that attraction doesn't equal action and all the other pro-para stuff. Maybe not soon, maybe it'll take a long time, but I really feel like I'm seeing people be more open to accepting paraphiles, even if right now it's only the ashamed ones who hate themselves for their paraphilias.

And even if everyone always hates us, we still have each other!! The pro-para community will always be there to accept and support you :3

Also, adding on to my last ask, dude oh my God it's so disappointing. Almost hopeless because little no one wants to actually take effective measures to prevent abuse and instead it seems like literally everyone ever is more concerned with knee jerk reaction and looking good to other people because dude if you actually point out that paras are a scapegoat to shift blame from abusers to people with thoughts and disorders, which is uh... Well. Hm.

Also, I saw someone bring up a really good point, that victims who also participate in this kind of behavior definitely care, but not for the right reasons. Not because child abuse is bad because it's hurting people (if that were the case, there wouldn't be so many antis who are victims harassing other victims to suicide, victims who are also pro spanking, or victims who don't advocate for things like free school lunch (or significantly cheaper)) but because they want revenge. They're angry and want revenge, which is a valid way to feel, but instead of actually working to research and spread information they're just wallowing in their own anger. And I think it's so freaking true. As a victim myself. I think it's that and they're personally disgusted by it.

Like it feels like no one actually wants to look into it and research ACTUAL FACTS about abuse and how to prevent it. They're either an unhealed victim who wants revenge or someone who's just trying to boost their own ego.

And it makes me lose hope because it feels like no one actually wants to put in effort to ACTUALLY prevent abuse. I'm sure SOME of them care, but personally with an issue like there where I care so unbelievably much I research the fuck out of it instead of just going with what I'm told. IDK maybe this is an unreadable crash out. Sorry for dumping but I need to speak to someone and you're the only one I know who wouldn't verbally slit my throat because I'm a "pedo apologist" or something. That and I feel people who follow this blog will likely heavily relate. I love your blog so much. You're a good force here. 🥃

I don't wanna say too much because I think you explained that all really well and I don't wanna take away from it, but yeah, it's a really good point. The hatred of paraphiles is based more on wanting revenge or having a punching bag than stopping abuse.

Don't lose hope. Maybe I'm naive and biased, but I really do feel like more and more people are starting to understand nonoffending paraphiles, and I feel like it's gonna get better.

Not sure if this is relevant to paraphiles who don't have disordered paraphilias, but oh my God. I genuinely don't understand for the life of me why anti contact non offending paras, including biastos, zoos, and MAPs get cancelled. I saw a furry being attacked for having a partner that was a zoo, non offending and anti contact who used fiction to cope, and like. Why is that even an issue. The whole thing feels so preformative to me, like "hey guys look at how anti abuse and how good of a person I am!!!! Guys look!;;;!" And like they make the argument all the time that they're "preventing abuse" but like. What did you even prevent. They were very clear they weren't gonna do it. What did you even prevent. And don't you fucking DARE tell me they're "just bound to do it" because if that's your logic you probably think that way about a lot of other disordered people. Which is ableist. Like what do you want him to do? STOP having a disorder(ed para)??? 😭😭😭 Like??? 😭 Okay bro we get it you're a white knight.

Not to mention I trust animals more around zoos who have intense urges but choose not to act on them because they know it's wrong more than someone who doesn't touch animals because it's icky because which one do you think has actually researched how to treat an animal and what not to do? - 🥃

It's frustrating!! People are closed-minded and refuse to entertain the idea that maybe just because something is taboo doesn't mean it's evil and everyone who is part of it is abusive.

I would definitely trust an anti-contact zoophile with animals way more than the average person, because the average person doesn't go out of their way to not harm animals. Lots of people think hitting dogs is just training and it's okay, but being attracted to dogs is evil and gross. It is so wrong.

Also, the furry fandom is just horrible when it comes to zoophilia :T They're so focused on trying to seem normal to everyone that they go after anyone who is 'zoophilic', which could mean liking pokemon porn or thinking Lion King characters are hot. So of course anti-contact nonoffending zoophiles are gonna get attacked there.
